Hands down my favorite Sousa march The first strain and break strains are brilliant. It's easy to tell it's one of his later marches....It's a shame it's not performed more often.
Given his musical library resides at the University of Illinois Library it would be appropriate to play it often and I cannot say I have heard It before--even after 100's of University events.

I'm sure I have heard either Great Lakes or Fort Sheridan bands playing this. Good tune. Did play Illinois loyalty song in high school mid-70s.
