Touching feet is like giving immense respect to older people, doesn't matter whether you are in relationship or not. It is taught by our great Dharma Hinduism and we follow the same here in my country Nepal.
That is a great custom but is not followed in South India, for whatever reason. We touch their feet only on special occasions such as getting married or having a birthday celebration, etc. At other times it is just greeting them, sometimes with palms joined together.

India and China really should work together rather than work against each other. A good relationship between the most populated country and second most populated country can only have positive impact to the development and modernization of both countries and entire Asia. The ethnic groups of Malaysia are Malay Muslim Malaysian, Chinese Malaysian, Indian Malaysian and other ethnic indigenous groups. So interacial marriage are so common here since years ago. For example a Chinese will marry an Indian and an Indian or Chinese will marry a Malay. I'm Indian Malaysian and my daughter married a Chinese Malaysian. We had two wedding ceremonies, a Hindu n Buddhist ceremonies. So actually it's very interesting to have mixed races cultures in a family. From Malaysia 🇲🇾

In a multiracial Malaysia, it's quite common with many different ethnic groups living here. The ethnic groups of Malaysia are Malay Muslim Malaysian, Chinese Malaysian, Indian Malaysian and other ethnic indigenous groups.
So interacial marriage are so common here since years ago. For example a Chinese will marry an Indian and an Indian or Chinese will marry a Malay. I'm Indian Malaysian and my daughter married a Chinese Malaysian. We had two wedding ceremonies, a Hindu n Buddhist ceremonies.
So actually it's very interesting to have mixed races cultures in a family.
