      Hi Terry. Thanks for commenting. Checklist could be handy yes, had some very positive feedback on the checklist already and shared it via email with viewers. Luxembourg has actually a very timid stamp issuing policy. First stamp is from 1852 and they have issued just over 2400 stamps now. Compared to other countries that is not much. And that is what I like also. They have nice stamps, interesting topics but don't overdo it with issuing a multitude of stamps.

    Thank you for making your videos. They are terrific! I belong to 2 stamp clubs in WI, USA, but stamp collecting can still feel like a lonely hobby. It's a treat to see people (who know what they are doing) share their finds/ endeavors/ collections. I inherited and bought Scott albums. I only collect, worldwide, up to 1959. I also have US up until the 80s... but I haven't delved into that. Early US stamps can be very time consuming. That's enough for my lifetime. I use Vario pages for duplicates of each country. I really wish I knew people who wanted to trade. If I ever find some people, at least I'll have them organized by country.

    • @chrislovesstamps

      Hi. Thanks for the compliment, means a big deal to me! Finding people to trade is hard. Sometimes people are too far along in a collection already and you cannot offer them interesting stamps. Might help if you trade with someone and both agree to start on a new country so every stamp you receive is new.

    Chris, thanks for sharing. Lovely album, well done. I must of taken you hours to do up those labels. I really love your inventory system. Hi Daniel. It has taken ages to do those labels. But these older labels you see in the video took longer because I added catalogue prizes to it. I do not do that anymore, so it saves time. Go use the idea, I am curious if it works for you.

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for sharing this update on your Luxemburg collection.
    It’s a rather nice collection aswell. There are some beautiful stamps in there.
    And a lot of the places depicted in them I’ve visited.
    We used to go on holiday to Luxembourg for years when I was a kid/teen 😊
    I really like the flexibility of using these pages.
    And I even bought the same Leitz binder for my Netherlands collection 😉
    But I hadn’t thought about an index page where you can mark off the stamps you own.
    That’s a great idea that I will use for my own collection.
    So thanks for the idea!
    I’m waiting for your next video 😀

      Hi Layla. I envy you, that you visited Luxembourg so often. It is on my list.
      That Leitz Softclick binder is really good. Maybe not cheap, but it is quality. About the index page: I am unsure of it is going to work, but it is fun to test things out and come up with ideas. Thanks for commenting and watching.

      Hi Chris, well I am of two minds in answering your question. I find getting mint examples of the early issues ( regular & back of book) challenging. On the other hand, the modest number of new issues plus Post Luxembourgh is wonderful to deal with.
      I really appreciate you giving little Luxembourg attention.
      I don't collect Canada but am looking forward to following your Canda collecting efforts.
      Keep up the good work! The videos are motivating and informative for me.😊

    • @chrislovesstamps

      @@w.t.chapman1995 I feel generally used is harder than mint. The stamps between 1950-1990 are in both states relatively easy to get. Have to be careful for CTO's though, depending if that is an issue to someone. I do like cancellations of Luxembourg a lot, so I am always on the lookout to improve the collection that way. And indeed, not a lot of new issues, I like that. I will definitly show more of Luxembourg, I do have some stamps to add to the collection, around 130. I have about 900 that are duplicates but might be better than I currently have, so still a lot to do. Canada needs a lot of love to be honest. Thank you for watching!

    Great episode Chris. Vario pages are great for presentation. I have Davo albums for some countries but then I use Vario pages for others (I really need to work on it more though). Stock books are more third choice and I use them for countries I don’t concentrate on as much or as temporary organization.
    I like the checklist idea you came up with and will work on something similar.

      Hi and thanks Jeff. I really enjoyed making this episode. Some episodes are even more fun than others and this one came out pretty good. It is not often I feel and say that :-) I still have stockbooks, but they are third choice for me too, after Vario pages and A5 stockcards. I moved into the realm of flexibility fully now :-) I am curious how your checklist would work, look.

    Wow, Chris, the collection is really very neat and attractive displayed in the Vario pages! You must enjoy it tremendously to look through your collection. I am still putting my stamp collection(s) in stock books (well, rather plan to, because I must still seriously start with arranging my stamps). However, I can clearly see that using the Vario pages in a file is much more flexible. As I proceed I will certainly keep that in mind. Everything is just so expensive (for me). Eventually I think I would like to put most of my main collections in self printed pages in files, with the stamps mounted in mounts (also expensive!). I love information and would like to add more information to the stamps than what would be comfortable in a stock book / Vario pages. But, these are plans for the future. 🙂 Can only progress step by step. 🙂 I like the way your are going to keep book of the stamps. Thank you for another great video and for sharing your move to a new way of organizing your stamps! It is very helpful for helping to make one's own decisions. 🙂

      Hi Charnie. Yep, I notice I pick up the binder more than I did with the stockbooks. It is very flexible indeed. I like that. And I like I have not as many empty spaces in the album, like I had with the stockbooks, although the idea of reserving a place for every stamp is nice. Adding pieces of paper with more information is what I like too, but as I have also stamps from other countries, I do want to keep some Vario pages left for other collections. :-)

    Once again you have made a very good video. I like them very much, please keep them coming. You are a very organized person. I started collecting nearly 60 years ago (I'm now 74) and unfortunately I have so much money invested in albumns that making the switch to stock pages isn't feasible for me now. I wish i had started with them. I have one comment on the color coding for stamp condition. If you have a stamp with a heavy or damaged in some way, you have a color for it. If you eventually are able to upgrade to a better grade of stamp, would you have to do a whole new sheet to change your color code for that stamp? Again, thanks for the great video.

      Hoi Camiel.

    Hi Chris, a quick question. Do you only use labels for the stamps you have rather than for every stamp in the catalogue ( which i am doing, but it's tedious ) ? I am also adding descriptions, but it takes up a lot of room, so i might go for something simpler.

    • @chrislovesstamps

      Hi Jerry. I used to have a label for every stamp, also stamps that I didn't have. That is how I did it when I had the collection in 3 stock books. Now I only have labels for those that I have. Descriptions is nice to have, but that is a lot of work also. I think when you start a collection, it is somewhat less tedious if you 'grow' with it, if that makes sense. The labels I have is the 'old style', and way bigger than what I use now.

    • @jerrystamps
