God, extremely complicated and random bases like these are really a lost art. The old building style like this is easily my favorite style of old minecraft, So it makes me really happy to see someone who appreciates it too and is actually making a ton of stuff in that style. Really hope you keep this going for as long as possible cause i cant get enough of these type of bases. GJ man, seriously keep it up.
Indeed, I tried to replicate this building style in the modern minecraft and it's simply impossible, when I played alpha, idk why but it comes naturally, and fits it way better cuz much better old graphics that made you feel like it's winter of 2012😂
Yes this build style fits the old versions best but you can do similar stuff in the newer versions but it takes a lot of effort especially when you can just play the old versions@@penzalo4119
@@Kaktus-xj7sj aye true, in the new versions I get overwhelmed by the variety and I start wanting to use all the modern techniques to build and make builds as rustic and realistic as possible
I know right? I still build my bases like this. Even in more modern versions of the game. It's like the base is an organic extension of yourself. Nothing is planned and you end up with a base you can quite literally get lost in.
Haven't touched Minecraft since the 1.16 update, this has been refreshing and giving me the old vibes from when I started the game. Experiencing this feeling again is something I am really grateful for
This may be a weird compliment, but I think your mic quality with the fan in the background also makes the video extra nostalgic like before everyone had super high quality mics. I honestly like it!
This reminds me of my old bases, that would just start from a small shack or cave to get through the first night, and just spreading from there into one chaotic mess of structures that all looked really cool together!
God that takes me back. I stopped playing Minecraft when they introduced the hunger meter - just couldn't get used to it. Started playing again a couple years ago, with the big update, and I was absolutely astounded. The new version is amazing. But this alpha version has a simplistic, nostalgic feel that it just can't replicate.
the audio quality is the cherry on the cake. please don't stop making these videos. they really make me feel like it's still 2012 when I watch them, And I love it
Your mushroom will not work. Mushroom spread was not added yet. That gets added in beta 1.6. Also I like how the cactus farm is the only farm in all of Minecraft that really has not changed since alpha. Apart from collection method we still build the exact same farm.
The mango pack for b1.7.3 adds back all of the alpha features, like boat elevators, one block gap ladders, and the old alpha minecart boosters. You can just ignore all the mods if you want to play vanilla as it's fully configurable in game. Also I had no idea minecart elevators were a thing way back in alpha.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely check it out because I'd like to keep the boat elevator but I think I'd prefer the new additions to rails in beta.
god this gives me so much nostalgia, having pirated minecraft PE from some sketchy chinese app around when it released, the builds just give me so much vibes my old worlds would give, makes me wish i atleast had a few screenshots or even had saved the worlds so much unfinished and forgotten builds ive forgotten about too, with only vague memories surrounding them
This video inspired me to start an alpha world. I really want to recreate the old-school building style where everything is connected. From what I've played already, I really enjoy the limited block selection, because it forces you to be more creative and try different things other than spruce and stone bricks (which had become my confort zone block pallet). I do miss hoppers though. Great build you got there :), I really enjoy how compact and stacked on top of itself it is.
Back again, your other video inspired me to check out alpha, and it's one of my favorite Minecraft experiences. So thanks for showing me an interesting way to play. One more subscriber.
this is the best one of these world tours i’ve seen by far i actually love how just purely creative and intricate everything is, i feel like you don’t see worlds like this anymore and it’s really awesome
Wow, I was really taken back to better Minecraft days watching this. Love the simple but complex base design. This is what Minecraft is really about. I have noticed that you get a very similar experience if you play on modern amplified worlds, and disable a few things.
Starting my new alpha minecraft world, it's an INCREDIBLE relaxing experience!! It'll be my go-to when I'm stressed for something or I have exams!! Thank you!!
Thanks for the support. I was thinking of doing some short video essay style videos and then maybe some videos like the weekly slap if you've watched that channel :)
This is such a cute and relaxing video to stumble upon! You have a very pleasant voice to listen to and just watching all of this brought back a lot of old memories. Keep up more updates and I am excited to see how the coffee shop turns out ❤
This is why old style building is better then modern it’s because this actually seams like he didn’t just search 5 TH-cam tutorials on how to build a house instead he actually put thought and time on his builds and use lots of creativity
I hope the algorithm is nice to you, your video's are a nice breath of fresh air. If u ever "blow up": ignore all the people telling you what to do, people have this annoying tendency to find something they like that's unique and then project all their wishes and desires on that thing until it's not unique anymore. Think of Alfa being spammed into oblivion about releasing part 4 of "Minecraft but you feel 10 again". The pressure people put on TH-camrs to do what they(the viewer) want instead of just letting the TH-camr make what they want to make can suck the joy out making videos quite quickly i think. So if that ever happens to you: ignore it as best as you can! Keep doing what you love doing, in a style that you feel comfortable with. No matter if 5 or 500000 people watch. Warm greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱.
I love this style of bases but always struggle to make them myself, i can never fit everything nicely and it just ends up being filled with random bridges, but your base is really nice and organized
Love to see others out there also playing the older versions of Minecraft. I usually play Beta 1.7.3. I had a world that I started in 2020 which I played for about a year as well, but I eventually abandoned it when I got busy with university work. But I have a question: Why Alpha 1.2.3 rather than Alpha 1.2.6? Don't they have virtually the same features, but 1.2.6 has more bug fixes?
Damn that looks nice, makes me want to continue building my own world. I like the towers and would love to try building something like this too, but farming all the cobblestone for them has to take ages with how fast pickaxes break in old versions :,(
Definitely try and continue your world. I've taken breaks from my world but I've always come back and sometimes just mining for 20 minutes can be relaxing I find :)
i would like to know more about passive mob farms from the alpha days got any tips or helpful info? i just started an alpha 1.1.2 world. Ive only ever played alpha twice for short times so im not sure where to start but its been fun so far
How did you get alpha 1.2.3 to work? For me it just crashes when booting up a world. Which sucks because it's the only version of alpha that has the nether AND leaf decay.

this brings me back to my pocket edition days before xbox came out, so nostaglic. the huge base definitely has that og identity of minecraft!

One of the best unintentional asmr I've experienced so far
zombies drop feathers in old minecraft, which I always found funny.
I completely forgot that xDD

All u need is the old youtube UI, and u got yaself actual nostalgia
