I have not tried engraving with the Explore machine that I have. Cricut's website states that it doesn't currently have the engrave feature for the Explore machines. However, I have seen other TH-cam videos of people working around that limitation. You might see if you can find a video specific for the Explore machine.

A c02 laser is a much better option for engraving clear acrylic.
You have a Maker, does this work with the Explorer?
