@gymkhanadog really? He's not disconnected from the actual community. In some ways, he IS the actual community (at the moment). Look around, half the people in this hobby are trying to fly like steele and/or use the same parts as steele, and treat everything he says as gospel.
And? My first ever multirotor, in fact my first *ever* fore' in to RC flight was a hand-built wooden tricopter thanks to David Windestal and the FliteTest crew ~5 years ago. I used exactly all the same parts that he did. Why? Because it was a known formula and it worked great. It got me flying simply, cheaply, easily. And I leaned more flying that tri than I've ever learned flying a twitchy, unpredictable miniquad, or even my monster powerhouse of hand-built 500-class wooden quad.
@gymkhanadog What the F are you on about? That's totally irrelevant. You said Steele is disconnected from the community and I refuted that. End of story.
I've been in the hobby over 2 years now, it's grown massively in that short time. It's not underground anymore. Things evolve as they grow, vlogs are a nice break from the musical flights. When they are done right, not as blatant advertising. Keep it up Steele 👍
All the Vlogs from yourself, Stinger, Skitzo, Drib etc are ace. They're quality, entertaining, informative, and basically bring us along on a personal journey of the top fpv pilots having fun. I love them.
You could do two channels. One for vlogging and one for purist like FPV. You got to admit it, it's pretty silly seeing a bunch of v-loggers unsafely filming each other in the back of a pick up truck. You will figure it out though. You are a great pilot. You got plenty of followers to experiment with and find out.
Hey SirWrender, I didn't know you watched steele. I'm a fan of your channel and corridor. I'm planning on doing my first VFX on my channel. I hope to get a internship at corridor one day. Here's a link to my channel I hope you enjoy it! th-cam.com/channels/APkLRWKW5i8Xd4JbaPkCJg.html
I just think a lot of guys are getting way too heavy with the "I'm a cool guy and people want to see my face for 75% of the video". Or... "people think I'm interesting so I am going to talk their ears off the whole time..."
way too many damn cameras rolling in the wrong places and for the wrong reasons. Vlogging is cool, but just because a friend does it, doesn't mean you have to as well. and it's important to now when you are better of making a different type of video.
That's true. More flying, less talking. I mean, nothing against vlogs, but if your gonna do it, teach people, tell them about new products and tech. Also, keep reinventing your flying. New styles and new tricks. I think Steel has become a bit stagnant in his flying and not pushing himself to new things. The flying is the same, just the locations change.
I will say this: I really miss the old days (which were only like 8 months ago) when your videos were just amazing flights to cool music, short and sweet and mind blowing. I also like the Q and A's and blog type stuff, hanging out with the Atlanta crew etc. I'd like to see an even mix of both. It'd be nice to at least see one of those old school videos a week. I still remember specific videos from back then, what they were called, the song you chose and where you were flying. I enjoy the vlogs, but I forget about them pretty fast. I doubt I'll remember any specific vlog 6 months from now
VLOGs are VLOGs. I like them when they teach me something. I don't care for VLOGs and are there just to be VLOGs. I do seriously enjoy the flying footage and music. That doesn't have to teach me anything, but it is something to simply enjoy. You, Mr. Steele, Skitzo, Stingy, all do a great job of mixing education with entertainment. Keep up the great work.
Sometimes I'm interested in the 'vlog' part, sometimes I'm not. When I'm not I just skip through the video to find the flying. So no... I wouldn't say vlogging is ruining anything, as long as I can fast forward :)
As a newbie, I actually really like watching vlogging... makes me feel part of that underground community.... I am a little more concerned about everyone trying to make the next video more amazing than the previous one which might lead to taking extra unnecessary risks... I am thinking about Johnny FPV shooting fireworks from his quad or you flying downtown Miami... As much as I enjoy watching these amazing videos, I think it might be detrimental to the image of the hobby.
As a non-newbie but still no bueno, I 100% agree. I love what these guys do, it is simply amazing, but at the same time the more I see videos happening over populated areas to get that primo shot or because I simply can get away with it, I feel eventually no good is to come of it. I know they suggest they are professional and do not condone others following them but really what do you think is happening!? What worries me is to see one of these Pro's have one tiny misstep in a populated area and really injure someone with these quads. Let's face it, these quads are hauling ass. It won't take long before the media switches from drone spying to ultra dangerous speeds in our streets. I just want everyone to fly safely so we can keep enjoying the hobby!
I don't even think Steele would make a misstep, but nobody is safe from a technical failure or a failsafe... then all the skill in the world will not prevent that quad falling from the sky like a brick.
You can see it all over youtube, inexperienced pilots without mustaches doing dumb stuff in dumb places, hopefully they lose interest when their dream of becoming a drone celebrity crashes and burns.
Good point @IzakGt. The other thing is that this is a flying contraption that has mechanical parts that will fail. The question is will it be over a populated area at the time. I hope not. I worry every time I go out to fly whether that day will be the one that an ESC or motor decides to go wonkie. I would feel horrible for the rest of my life if I ever hurt anyone while flying.
Que, I agree! I try to make it a point to fly in spots that damage will be minimal. It paid off for me. This time last week my quad dropped from the sky. I'm not sure why but it went into a death roll and would not recover. I wasn't doing anything fancy I was on my first pack of the day and tried a casual roll to see how my new props held up. No damage to frame just waiting for a PDB because it broke the battery lead pads off the board.
Is Vlogging ruining the hobby? No. Is Vlogging getting boring? In my opinion, Yes. I have total respect for you guys. Yourself, Stingy, Skitzo, Willard, Le Drib and others. All super skilled pilots. The thing is, once you watch your video, then Stingys, then Skitzo's, its basically the same content. Same location, same crew and sometimes even the same way of editing. Even though two different pilots have uploaded, I feel like sometimes I've watched the same video twice. That's only my 2 cents, I'm sure others feel differently. Keep up the awesome flying.
The perfect FPV channel would be a mix of raw flight footage, edited flight footage, vlogs, and technical content...which I think you deliver in the right proportions. I think your personal channel (as well as StingersSwarm's and Tommy's) perfectly compliments the Rotor Riot format as well. Keep it up, man. You're killing it.
Vlogs aren't specifically ruining the hobby, personally I just don't care about anyone's life enough to watch a 10-minute video of them talking to the camera.
The best videos of any of this content be it RC Airplanes, Drones / Quads, setups ect. are when there is an explanation portion and then a flying / demonstration portion. The music added to the flight makes so much more sense to me at that point. Great job, keep it up.
You're Vlogs have been incredibly helpful. YOU'RE GROWING THIS HOBBY! I've been bit by the bug and flying since last fall. People like you have made it possible for me to grow my knowledge of this sport quickly. Please keep it up. I luv your videos.
The sound of the motors, without music, makes the video really boring and "meh". FPV mini quads really are an art form for most of us and mixing music and footage together can make a really special product. It's almost like saying you don't understand why they have to put a soundstrack in movies
Vloggers are my only attachment to the community. I am a solo flyer so these vlogs help me stay up on the equipment and techniques. It is also nice to get to know other pilots through their videos. I have met Steele in person and he is about as genuine as they come. great personality and very professional. What you see in the videos is the real deal. As for pure flight videos, I watch them all the time. I have two pilots I follow religiously as their flying and editing kills are top notch in my book. Nothing better than putting on the goggles and flying along with these guys.
There is room for just about everyone in this hobby. I like your videos because you are frank and I have seen you change in just the few short months I've been subscribed to your channel and in this hobby. Like you said, passion is the key. I've been into RC cars for 30+ years and have a YT channel, but I honestly love making videos and would keep doing it even if no one watched. Passion is what drives us and is the motivation to keep going even on the worst days. I deal with depression from time to time and the RC hobby has probably saved my life more than once. On vlogs, I love them. You get to get an idea of just who someone is without actually meeting them (even though it's a little weird and one sided) and that makes the world and community seem smaller. Keep doing what you are passionate about and making awesome videos Steele and I'll do the same.
I appreciate the knowledge of the hobby you include in your content (.e.g builds, reviews tips and tricks). It is very valuable to me as a pilot and you inspire me. I don't think you need to even ask the question is vlogging ruining the hobby. Its doing nothing more than accentuating it and bringing forward knowledge of the hobby and voices like mine who are so excited to be a part of the community. SO to be frank and please take it with respect, videos like this one are wasting your time. Im usually excited when I get a notification of a new post of yours or Kevins or RR. Your a respected and talented pilot and I proudly show your content off to all of my group. Don't even second guess it and just keep doing what you love. Hope to fly with you sometime Steele. Cheers.
Just watched this video again, and it stays timeless, and is what the hobby is also about, and gives everybody the energy to go on, in a expression that is genuine & natural, i love that.
I used to skate and I skated a lot for 20 years. This hobby has always reminded me of skateboarding. Especially your videos. I was in a car accident and seriously injured my leg and I haven't skated since. This hobby has filled that void in my life. I can't say thank you enough.
Steele I've enjoyed your videos loads and have started having a go myself because of you and others like you. Keep it up dude! Producing, picking music, coming up with new ideas is where I'm at right now and I'm loving it. If I was just flying and packing up when I'm out of batteries, it would only be half the experience. I wish you all the success you deserve!
I'm in the process of buying my very first FPV Quadcopter THIS WEEK because of your videos, Steele. I've been watching for the past few weeks, and ever since I began considering the idea of getting into the hobby, I haven't been able to stop thinking about drones. Keep doing what you are doing! Your videos are entertaining and very well produced, and through them you've grown the hobby by at least one person. ROCK ON!!
Relate 💯%!!! I rewatch all my videos cause I love to critique and live in that moment again. I overall just love flying and editing and MUSIC... takes me 30 mins to an hour to edit a vid... takes 2 hours to find a song lol.
Being new to the hobby, the first thing I did after seeing one of your online flights was to search for what type of gear you used. Thankfully you had me covered six ways to Sunday. I mean that in a very good way. You sir are a rock star of information and that's why I subscribed.
A happy mix of commentary, flying, building, discussing tech, procedure, is awesome.. A little stash and well ALOT more Shaina, and your in like Flynn! Saturation will take care of itself.. SUBS will drop.. Those that stand out like Shaina, and ok, the whole rest of the Rotor Riot crew have nothing to worry about. One suggestion I have (aside of more Shaina) more amateur training! I'm one of those guys that has alot of equipment , but fight hard for each advancement as a pilot.I'm lucky I can afford my mistakes.. . Sometimes, it's because I am learning it all, on my own, or on the net.. I assure you there are MANY more like me now, and coming soon in the future.. Keep it up Steel.. PS black motors?
Mr. Steele, just continu doing what you're doing, it's genius. You have the talent and personnality for the hobby/sport. I'm wanting to get into FPV because I stumbled in one of your videos. and I've been researching since. You guys are like the Formula 1 drivers of FPV quad racing/freestyle. Having access to your content, at no cost, is just amazing. Don't change, just evolve and adapt, success will come. We are just tagging along you know.
You hit that nail right on the head. I think talks like this are very necessary, and for a person like me that I like to absorb as much knowledge as possible from you guys I find it very helpful always. Keep up the good job guys and a big hello from Arkansas! :)
You hit the nail on the as to why alot of us watch the vlogs. It gives a window into your community and how and why you use products. Awesome stuff and total fun. Plus it gives those of us up north, stuck in the snow something to aspire to when the ice melts, lol.
Like any media, we as the public have the ability to turn the off switch, no one is forcing anyone to watch anything. I, as many do, only watch and subscribe to the pilots that I enjoy watching and listening to. Keep up the good work Steele
I have to say that honestly if it wasn't for your channel, I wouldn't have become so excited about the hobby. I made a lot of rookie gear mistakes before I invested the time to watch the vast majority of your videos. Between you, the rest of the Rotor Riot crew's channels, and the Rotor Riot channel itself, I quickly realized the gear mistakes I made and rectified them. The Rotor Riot gang and Joshua Bardwell have been paramount to helping me. The RR Alien 5" build video series gave me the confidence to undertake that challenge. I built mine based off your gear list because i figured it was a setup that I had seen work. Because some of the gear was different, I had to figure things out when the video strayed but I knew I could do it. I think the mix of fun and educational videos is what will grow the hobby the best. Keep it up and know that a lot of us appreciate them.
Thanks Steele, i think you have totally summed this hobby up when it comes to youtube. I am at the stage you spoke about when you fly one full pack and find music that fits. I also use music that i like and dont allow adds as i am not looking to make any money out of it. I am only 4 months it the hobby and love it. i work as a photographer and love making videos from flights due to how it looks and the feeling of flying when you watch it. You where the one that got me into it and i thank you for that! one of my favorite videos of your is "inspired by new ". love the song and your video. Keep up the awesome work! and keep on enjoying what you do. All the best from down under Australia. Ps and yes we do always want " a " something lol.
I 100% agree with what you're saying. I much prefer the vlog style over the raw foortage, because it really attaches a person to the flying. Really getting at what you were saying with, it doesn't just happen. You bring yourself with the footage, which makes things so much more entertaining. So keep up what you're doing! Because I know I'm not the only one.
love your vids Steele. Really enjoy the extent of detail you put into the "how, when, where, and why's" of FPV. You and Rotor Riot have really helped me understand the dynamics that otherwise would/could have cost me alot of time and money figuring out on my own.
Thanks Steele, I'm from Colombia and we are moving fast in the Race Quad community. I personally enjoy all the Vlogs and ideas from more experienced pilots I see in TH-cam. keep it up!
I think the vlog is bringing more people in to the FPV community and showing them what FPV is. You have done a great job at showing and explaining FPV, Hardware, slang... ECT that it has allowed new people to ease there way in. I believe that you are just making a living doing what you do and also helping others out. Good job man
Dude watching you and skitzo at the freestyle nationals last year is what started me on this epic journey. I was like holy crap that's what I want to do. So it's been a rocky start with funds being tight. Now I finally have my first semi legit quad and I'm having a blast terrorizing my wife and dog in the house and I still learn stuff from all of you guys. Keep doing what your doing there isn't a right or wrong way. No matter what we will still be watching.
Steele, you nailed this video. I don't even have a quad right now but I still watch all your and Rotor Riot content. It keeps me going. Keep up the great work.
dude...ive been in this hobby a while now too man. and u brought up so many good points. i dont post much cuz it hasss to be EPIC or no one watches. vlogs let your audience get to know who you are. been a fan for a while cuz your honest man. keep it up. you are inspiring me to keep working hard at flying and building drones.
I love all of the videos, vlogs and raw footage alike. Watching your videos has gotten me to take up FPV as a hobby and I love the content you put out, keep it up!
Hi Steele. Vlogging and FPV I think has really come together to bring out the best in both worlds. Being new to the hobby, vlogging really helps us outsiders as i will say for those who are new to become welcomed or at least feel apart of the underground as you said community that FPV has brought into our world. Vlogging brings a real down to earth perspective on what is good and what is not in your opinions and that really helps us out. Keep up your great work and thank you for bringing us all this content. You are a huge part as to why I wanted to get into this hobby. Thanks
Steel...... just be YOU man,... personally cuz of you and the other guys at Rotor Riot I've gotten I to the FPV world. You guys have thought me from how to build a Kuad, program it and the receiver. Please quip it up and don't lisen to any one, at the end there just jealous of you and the others at RR, and what you've accomplished.. JUST BE YOU MAN AND KEEP FLYING
Still I believe your comments hit the nail on the head. Keep up your vlogging and remember that your personal interest in the hobby AND your viewers is THE reason your channel and your success has grown. Your INTROSPECTIVE view keeps vlogs personal AND interesting. I know you look at yourself in the mirror every day and keep it Real! Nice job from day ONE..... NEVER stop growing !!!
you right it's like a diary for us, even vlog or pure raw with descriptions writing there are no ruining at all. keep flying, filming, upload in any formats☺
Completely agree with you, Steele, i also like the Q & A, and it's also not the one or the other, i like both styles, it is also a quick update to recent topics and ones view to it. I like the creativeness in the vlogs the rough edits, soundtrack and effects, and humour :)
Your reasoning was solid and I respect it. I was definitely getting worried about the vlogging, but I have the freedom to 2x speed through the vlog and watch the flight sessions as normal, so it's ok. Vlogging is your style, other youtubers have their styles, and I'll just be happy that you guys are creating content regardless.
Dude, the fact that you vlog and that you are an amusing, interesting, and cool person that I feel I can (and have) learn from. It will be a sad day in my life if you stopped producing content. Your flight vids and talking about the hobby is literally the main reason I felt I could get into this hobby and I love it. Thanks for the content and keep it coming, good sir.
Hey buddy, I'm fairly new to this hobby, I started back in June after I had spinal surgery from being injured at work. By watching your videos, and all the tutorials it really helped me through my first builds effortlessly and painlessly. By being able to just go out and fly is a great escape for me. I was able to forget about the surgeries and all of the medical conditions that were going on. Without the so called "vlogs," I would have never been able to achieve or understand what or even how to build a 5inch quad (alien rr5). So from me to you, I say thank you because you may not know me however you have definitely inspired me to step out into a hobby that I had no understanding of and absolutely love it!
love your stuff brother. Just finished building my first quad that I bought from Rotor Riot. Thank you for all your videos. Sincerely inspired me to get started with this hobby. Thanks again.
I'm just now learning about the hobby your videos have gotten me so hyped. I can't wait to buy my first quad! The mix of vlog and quad footage is great. I don't see how vlogging could ruin the hobby. Thanks and keep up the awesome videos!
Keep up the great work Steele really enjoy your content, information and suggestions, it was great meeting you in New York at the Drone Nationals and you've always come across as a genuine person. Thanks for everything you do....
Steele, good work and you're an amazing pilot. Your charismatic personality and video editing skills mean you have a great future in our world of the electric internets! Even if you evolve in to different hobbies or interests, you've proven you have what it takes to engage your audience! Cheers.
vloging is how I found this hobby and I'd much rather watch vlogs for tech info than Google it and a bunch of sketchy crap. keep up the great work Steele.
I finally found a hobby for me and my dad thank to you. We watch your videos and are looking at parts for our first quad. keep up the great work man, don't let people get you down.
Get your money Steele. Good for you man. Haters are always gonna hate no matter what you do. In the words of James Franco "They hate me cuz they ain't me"
Thx for all the great work. Many people have and will get into the sport because you put your personality out there. People can either relate, look up to, or are entertained buy you and your content. Keep it coming.
I agree, I think your vlogs really bring the audience in more and only help to grow the hobby! I certainly enjoy hearing your input as a professional. You're definitely one of the biggest names in FPV! All of the big cheeze FPV pilots should be vlogging. keep it up!
This topic came up in our group last week. I am grateful that people like you are out there sharing information. It helps me kill time and learn when I don't want to sell insurance or real estate. (snore) The best part is that I learn a thing or two about the cool hobby. As for the music, I thought I saw you beatbox on a previous video. Have someone beatbox to your flight and use that as the music.
Thanks for sharing Steele! Awesome to see your personal growth & development allowing yourself to be open to feedback & change. I enjoy watching certain vlogs (including yours), but there is a lot of rubbish out there too. I think the key difference is where you are genuinely sharing + being true to yourself - this is the person expressing themselves, which effectively becomes your "brand". This can be done well (or poorly) via flying, vlogs, reviews, or just having fun. One thing that I agree with Chad, & a challenge to aspiring pilots, there is not enough quality "fpv art" / expression videos out there that really capture emotion & simple freedom of fpv flight.
I don't give a crap about what other people think or say, you guys keep on doing what your doing, and i will keep watching till I go blind or deaf. You've givin me the courage to go out and fly fpv, I'll let you know how that works out for me .
just keep on doing what you like, I like it when there is vlog, FPV footage and when you explain how things work and I'm sure you'll come up with more ideas as the channel grows!
Keep doing your thing bro, I for one absolutely love you guys (rotor riot) and what you do for this hobby/community. I'm new to quads and flying, purchased my first quad a month ago with about half a dozen flights since. Still learning and still afraid to break it so I don't do too much besides hover back and forth on a balanced mode lol. You guys are an inspiration for guys like me, I watch almost all your videos since I subbed a month back. You my friend have an awesome personality that I have yet to see matched in the community. As a team rotor riot is second to none, you guys can do it all. if your ever in Maryland it would be awesome to hookup and learn from 1 or a few of the best in the industry!!
I don't feel like vlogging takes anything away from the hobby. If anything, people should see it as inspiring especially if they are really into the hobby. I'll sit down at my desk, tinkering or working on a circuit board with quads or builds and play countless fpv videos along with yours combined. It's a chance to learn, and I love learning. so hopefully no one gets discouraged in making videos and keeps them rolling out. Keep up the good works brother!
5:10 - Awesome. Congrats! And on the overall question of vlogging, personally they've been of enormous help! Many FPV help videos recommend getting started in the FPV hobby by connecting with some local guys who are doing it. Well, if there "ain't none" then what? Well, there is Mr Steele, Skitzo, etc - knowledgable guys willing to share what they have learned - what works & what doesn't. I don't feel at all like I'm being shoved products. Just the opposite actually! I feel like they are protecting me from buying a bunch of junk that I'll immediately be disappointed with! So, thank you guys for the help - and for saving me lots of money! Sincerely, I'm grateful!
I enjoy the content especially when I get tips or see something new I want to try. As a newbie in FPV or any RC thing I fell in love with it all because of Rotor Riot and it's crew. I now follow all of them as well as others just to keep my encouraged and show me the ropes. I live in an area where RC cars are the thing and so I have no one to fly with except all you guys plus a travel all over the southeastern US and the groups for RR have helped me find good locations to fly and helpful people in the hobby. Thank you Mr. Steele specifically as you were the first FPV pilot I started to follow and get loads of help from.
keep up the good work sir, im relatively new to all of this and the vids that you do and rotor riot etc are definitely inspiring me to push me more when i fly, also not only that but technically i have learnt heaps from all the vids, they also make the experience more enjoyable, social media is a major part of pushing what ever you do these days so holla from New zealand and look forward to seeing more in the future
The passion you have for FPV is so evident in your vlogs Steele, I've heard the Casey comparison bull crap, as well as the haters. Ignore it all brother, please don't stop what your doing. Really enjoy everything you do, one day I hope to be as good a pilot as you. Shit only have 1 drone that My thoughtful wife got me for Xmas.
stelee, im from Argentina, and one of the reason i build a quad is for waching your VLOG, im waiting every day to see tour new vídeo.. keep it UP!!! all rotor riot are great persons!! Saludos!
I don't think vlogging is ruining the hobby, in fact I think the it propelled the hobby into the mainstream. I also partly think the hobby would not be as cheap and available to average people without you vloggers. Thank your for getting me and hundreds (if not thousands) of others into this. Keep doin what you're doin, Steele.
I love your videos, the Winter Wonderland was the video that spawned my love of wanting to be able to fly like that :D I find the way you fly is so fluent that it makes the quad just seem to float. Keep up the great work Mr Steele
Steele you inspired me to get into FPV. I never even flew any model aircraft before but with all the info you give helped a lot. Also tell Skitzo he is the man!
i def enjoy vlog videos, but i also really enjoy videos of people ripping. i personally love the videos with no music, just the sound of the quad itself! keep on vlogging man it helps everyone out with info, and just getting to know you as a person on a personal level, and not just a guy on a computer screen. also keep ripping man, love the videos!!!
Q&A. What do you think 2017 has for us? Are we going to see a massive advancement in the product we use? What would you like to see improved? Keeo doing what you're doing Steele and "Progress Daily" - John Hill.
I have a friend that makes his own music. Im sure he would give you something nice. Not sure if it would be free, but whats $10... besides more rotors. lol soundcloud.com/jkwyche
I have been so impressed with every video you have made. I learn so much from your vids. You will be extremely famous Mr Steele! The super car vid was amazing....Flying in your house....Stairway to Heaven...transmitter antenna mods...Keep it up....Your v logs rule.
I think the people who would say that vlogging is ruining the hobby, are the same people who would stop liking a band just because they start to get more famous. Rotor Riot, and your videos in particular, are what got me deep into FPV, and have been an inspiration for content creation in general! Thanks, and keep it up!
I love what you do, basicly you're the reason im into fpv, plain and simply, in the first couple video i quickfarwardedte talking because i just whanted to see your flying, but now I'm interested to follow your journey. Keep it up
Haters will hate ( regardless ). I've subscribed to many channels but frequent - Steele, Joshua Bardwell and Stingy, many reasons behind watching each one but honestly, it is like watching cable television. Each of you provide something different, different perspective, different style but equally enjoyable. I subscribe and support based on 'content' not just flight videos. Best original vlog - sticker challenge, was very enjoyable to watch you come up with this and then perform it. Based on another video, you explain why you use an idle up switch instead of air mode using the sticker challenge as an example. Your Q&A is good, you answered a question of mine which helped me improve, much appreciated. Stingy is an outstanding pilot to watch and how he approaches tricks, etc but watching him talk about what he does to his quad has provided some good insight on things I need to do ( oscillations, vibrations, etc ) and his tutorial on Power Loops was great. Joshua gives you the theory/application of what we do or try to do which is very educational to watch and probably my favorite. I appreciate and am benefitting from all of the vloggers and try to support in ways I can ( if I need an 8mm ratcheting wrench I buy through your amazon link, I patreon when possible and subscribe and like ) the point is, with out the vlogging, q&a and fact that vloggers will read the comments, I would be an isolated pilot and flying solo gets old. peace
I look forward to your vlogs. I love how the Atlanta crew's vlogs tell a story. Maybe Stingy has something in his vlog that you don't and vice versa. After a long stressful day it's nice to go home and watch your vlogs and relax. You're flying keeps me wanting to get better and better. I think very few of us got into the hobby to make money. Some people do get successful flying and can make a living off of it, but that's not what the hobby is about. I think the hobby is not even about flying, but just about having a good time with friends and meeting new people. I met some of my best friends through quads. When we don't have class and are charging batteries we like to put your guy's vlogs on the projector and watch. Most of the tricks we know are from seeing one you guys pull off a manuaver and daring each other to do it. I know once I've graduated I'm going to remember these moments with friends. Keep up the great work Steele. Because of you, we keep pushing ourselves to be better pilots.
Your F'n Steele Davis bro, just be Steele Davis.... Always be real and the people that matter will always respect you. AND if you remain real everything will come around. Instant gratification only lasts so long. You mainly, and a few others are the reason I got hooked on this shit in the first place, and I am sure by a Country Mile that I'm not the only one.
I personally like the ,getting ready on your way to fly, videos. kind of gets you into your mood for the flying. if people don't like, don't watch it. if you don't like watching root canals, you just don't watch it. way better than a twenty minute tutorial on something that would take three minutes to explain clearly.
Preach! I also enjoy helping people and teaching, it is rewarding. If I find something that works for me a I talk about it too. Keeping doing what you are doing.
Vlogging about whether vlogging is ruining FPV. So meta.
Right? Rich kid disconnected from the actual community and hobby doing what ever he can get away with.
This guys gonna make u learn sum junk
I love them.
yet here you are... :)
Michael Steele yeah they looked really desperate on that one
I enjoy the vlogs, Steele!
Or... "people think I'm interesting so I am going to talk their ears off the whole time..."
and now it's getting so out of control that by watching a certain pilot's episode we see 3 other vlog episodes from a different 3 other pilots. lol
way too many damn cameras rolling in the wrong places and for the wrong reasons.
"I have no interesting content today so watch me drive and eat"
ADAMBOMB FPV but he has really kind eyes... so I kinda don't mind lol
I doubt I'll remember any specific vlog 6 months from now
who complained? screw em. Rock on!!!!
John Graboski Chad did
who''s chad?
HigherPlanes Chad Nowak, FinalGlide from RR
Oh ok, thanks.
that guy has some serious emotional problems. just read some of the descriptions in his youtube videos.
I use adblock so no one makes money on me
タッチごめんなさい how
Firefox has an extension called adblock plus, install it.
タッチごめんなさい you commented. Guess what you have been monetized
タッチごめんなさい so do I but fk on my phone I hate the ads from TH-cam every god dam video
タッチごめんなさい so do I but fk on my phone I hate the ads from TH-cam every god dam video
Steele - your Vlogging is great ! Please keep it coming...
I wouldn't have got into the hobby if it wasn't for you, rotor riot, and the other guys you hang out with honestly. So thank you for vlogging.
I enjoy the fpv vlog format. Keep doing what you are doing Steele #vlogswillgrowthehobby 👍🏻
It's YOUR channel :) do what you makes you enjoy making videos :)
The best music comes from the motors. I have never understood why everybody must play music when flying ? Ok, sometimes it works.
Eh...I like hearing the music with the motors just being audible underneath. I too love the sound of motors straining out of a turn!
The Amazon link for the receiver doesn't work.
vlogs are great - unless you just sit there and vlog and don't fly. Then you need an intervention.
100% same here too :D
I enjoy the vlogs. Just do both. There is also something great about a no bullshit, straight to the point ball ripping.
You are my hero. Keep doing what you like to do. A mix between FPV flying and vlogging is perfect. Keep up the good work man.
you right it's like a diary for us, even vlog or pure raw with descriptions writing there are no ruining at all. keep flying, filming, upload in any formats☺
Don't let the negative shit sway u man, people obviously love your content, keep up the good work !! You don't owe anyone an explanation
love your stuff brother.
Cheers.
Keep up the good work. There are those of us that appreciate the time you put into editing and production. I love seeing what you guys are up to.
vloging is how I found this hobby and I'd much rather watch vlogs for tech info than Google it and a bunch of sketchy crap. keep up the great work Steele.
Adblock Off for all FPV Fam! support the artists that bring you these amazing videos!
I don't give a crap about what other people think or say, you guys keep on doing what your doing, and i will keep watching till I go blind or deaf.
You've givin me the courage to go out and fly fpv, I'll let you know how that works out for me .
Thank you for being very genuine. I enjoy your videos because it's inspiring and I appreciate your approach to vlogging.
just keep on doing what you like, I like it when there is vlog, FPV footage and when you explain how things work and I'm sure you'll come up with more ideas as the channel grows!
Yep vlogging is like a personal diary, it's why I do it, I haven't lately. Work, eating and sleeping doesn't cut it.
Life is a huge troubleshoot bro! Great topic, keep up the enthusiasm it's very encouraging! 👍
i def enjoy vlog videos, but i also really enjoy videos of people ripping. i personally love the videos with no music, just the sound of the quad itself! keep on vlogging man it helps everyone out with info, and just getting to know you as a person on a personal level, and not just a guy on a computer screen. also keep ripping man, love the videos!!!
Q&A. What do you think 2017 has for us? Are we going to see a massive advancement in the product we use? What would you like to see improved? Keeo doing what you're doing Steele and "Progress Daily" - John Hill.
Yo steele keep spittin da truth, if you need some music hit us up.
+Collaboration Corporation music ?!
I have a friend that makes his own music. Im sure he would give you something nice. Not sure if it would be free, but whats $10... besides more rotors. lol
soundcloud.com/jkwyche
I has all free music an beats!! And i got an arsenal of rappers. ill get you some quad-hop steele..
I like the vlog content. Big fan of the channel and how it's progressed. I bought my first quad after watching for awhile. Keep it up Steele!
I've learned so much from watching people vlog. Sometimes I learn the most from throwaway comments you guys make. Thanks and keep it up.
