- We had a break in crowds and demand last month, but we saw a return of crowds with the Easter Holiday weekend. Still not as busy as it was during that peak period in early March, but plenty busy enough to make things interesting. All part of our complete tour of the park. We'll go to every land and every attraction and talk about the current STATE OF DISNEYLAND.

The car horns, the horse shoe sounds on the ground clop clop clopping, scooter beeps, train, and kids getting excited are all my favorite sounds as I enter Disneyland!!

If the pink tree in Galaxy’s edge is the same as the ones in the hub, then it is a Tabebuia tree. Also called a Trumpet tree. I love going to Disneyland in April. I love that everything is in bloom. Hubby and I go in April often to celebrate our anniversary. This is the first time we won’t be there for a major anniversary (we were there for 20, 25, 30, 35) but not this year for our 40th. Luckily we did go last year for our 39th because I almost died (heart attack) and didn’t think I’d make it to 40. But I’m still kicking. Maybe we will make it to Disneyland for our 45th and 50th. Hope so. For now I live vicariously through Fresh Baked. Thank you, David. ❤❤❤
Wait times are crazy today. 110 Matterhorn and I saw 70 for Jungle cruise. 85 Star Tours! The park is packed!

The parks were at 95% capacity yesterday. Bought Genie+ and weren't able to take advantage of most of the rides on the list because the return times were for much later in the day and you can only hold one ride reservation at a time. Felt so ripped off.
You can hold more than one reservation at a time…. You just can’t book sooner than two hours in between. Watch tutorials on how to utilize it best

This week rides have been breaking down every 5 minutes. Genie + available rides are all gone by 6pm. So disappointing!!!
Genie+ is necessary if you go less than once every couple of months. There's no more off season. Disneyland's operators failed to grow the parks' capacities enough to keep up with demand.
Because people have passes that don’t include week ends so naturally the week days will fill up first.
Until the work is completed it’s New Orleans Sliver and Critter Cubicle.

I don’t think they will remove LL on Pirates even when Tiana and Mansion reopen. They know more rides with LL means more people will purchase it.
I want to say a big THANK YOU for all your videos and especially for your rope drop tip on getting all the mountains in first thing! It made our spring break so great, even in the rain.

28:38 I'd love to see Disney do more generic Star Wars characters walking around. Have a Tusken, a Twi'lek, maybe an Ewok, and other races. Make it like a Star Wars faire and have them just walking around interacting with guests that want to and pretending to shop the market. I feel that'd be delightful! We can only hope Disney will think about and get casts to do it one day.
I think on 4/1 they should have random Star Trek characters strolling through STAR WARS: Galaxy’s Edge.

We need to keep criticizing the long queues because of lightning lane.
The pirates queue should NOT extend past the bridge ever. I have been on very busy days and pirates did not extend nearly as far as it does now. Backups are horrible and make the park look bad

From my time as a Manager at Universal I would say that there is probably groups scheduled for the 1st week of April. It was random when we would get groups that had worked out group rates through corp. ticket sales office. That would be my guess David. Watch to see if you find large groups that are obviously together instead of families. 😊

Not sure if it had any affect, but 4/1 was a State holiday (Ceasar Chavez observed), no idea about the rest of the week.
Yeah I had the day off work.
The reason there are reservations still available at Disneyland for those days and this is just a guess is: You pay for a full day then get kicked out early because of the Star Wars Celebration. I cancelled my late April plans this year because two of the days I was going to be at Disneyland, I would have had to leave early. No thank you. I pay full price for a whole day, I want to spend 16 hours in the park.
We were there on 4/2 and 4/4. Crazy busy but lots of fun! On Thursday we left at 5 went back to our Air BnB to rest and went back to the park at 8. HUGE difference in crowds! Walked right onto Pirates, 20 minute stand by at Thunder Mountain, and a 20 or so minute wait at Rise of the Resistance. We had waited for 90 min+ at Rise in the afternoon. Glad we went back in the evening since we needed to recuperate.
OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!my i saw u outside of autopia recording that and my mom was in the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wanted to say hi but u were recording and i had a lighting lane that ended in 2 minutes but it was so awesome to see one of my favorite youtubers filming!
The Phantom Menace is my jam. I was a Star Wars obsessed sixth grader when I saw it in theaters. When I watch it now it puts me right back in that theater.
Sometimes, I am sad that I did not renew my Magic Key for this year(2024) but then I watch Fresh Baked and I am glad that I did not. This place looks uncomfortably packed!
It's always packed this time of year. It's Spring Break for schools all over the state plus some neighboring states.
Don’t forget that Toontown shuts down for fireworks. Usually re-open a at 10pm. With spring break time all over the place (from week before Easter to a week or two after Easter). It is hard to judge the crowd levels/ wait times for attractions. Now, come May 1st--} that area around New Orleans will be ugly crowded. Most people don’t pay attention to what is shut down until they get into the park. All the attractions are going to be looooong waits, a lot of people spending more time at sit down restaurants & also more push over to DCA. Bring your patience for a while when visiting DL. It’s always amazing how long the wait is for the Fantasyland attractions. At least one hour for one minute at best experience.

Canyons!! anything on the River is good. Need to bring back KeilBoats, and ad another Transportation to keep river full of guess.
Disneyland more more 'peoplemover' type of attractions all over the park. Pirates is perfect, need more like that high volume expieirance.
Really need to start having the “vibe” drinking game for every time he say “vibe” during the his videos. Also needs Freshbake Vibe t-shirts.
Could the reservation conundrum be because DCA has a smaller capacity and so it filled up quicker than the Disneyland reservation capacity?
We were at Disneyland on the 2nd and 4th, DCA on the 3rd, and both parks were PACKED!
This looks like when I was there 3/26 but on 3/24 it was amazingly quiet for some reason.
Spring break in Utah is this week. And lots of my clients are starting at Disneyland. That info might help.

We had reservations for Easter Sunday. Canceled them because forecast of thunderstorms. We have young children. Maybe that's why weekend was open.
The pinch points happen in Fantasyland because of the strollers. Disney needs a stroller valet housing for Fantasyland A and B off Stage. As well as New Orleans Square. That would help so much.

I live in Utah and spring break starts on Monday 4/1/24 until Friday 4/6/24. We all love to come to Disneyland for spring break! I would guess that lots of folks that are there are from Utah.
Another Utahn here who had the same thought! Plus many of the people and families I know here love DCA so it could be a contributing factor.
The return times for Genie+ change by the minute. When I was in the park both for Halloween and Valentine’s day, if I WANTED a genie time and it showed a crazy high return time I would keep refreshing and within 5 min there would be multiple other offers.

The tree in Batuu could be an eastern Redbud tree native to Oklahoma. They are everywhere here and beautiful.
I love that gateway to Batuu music, every time I hear it I wish Disney would just release it.
There's a bunch of major attractions shut down at Disneyland. It makes sense to me why DCA is more appealing.

I flew home, to the southwest, on Good Friday. I was able to switch seats on a flight from Seattle with no problems or up charge. The airport was light on crowds. It feels like the economy is slower when it comes to disposable income.
Yes please go for a canoe ride! I've never been on them in the handful of times I've been to the park. It would be so cool to see it on Tours Departing Daily!
My thought is people waited until their spring break to do Food & Wine, seems reasonable
Omg that looks like a dream compared to our experience yesterday and even worse today! It was absolutely nuts. We even got genie + but that didn't really help either because the LLs were all too far out to matter 🤦🏻♀️ I have never experienced this level of crowds personally. I learned a lot though!!
We were visiting DL and DCA that week (from MN) for spring break and Friday was the only day we purchased Genie+. I’m sad I was at DL Friday but didn’t get to say hi.

I would love a genie plus video. I haven't been to the parks since 2018 so I've never experienced it, but I want to plan a trip soon and want to go informed

Dave, it’s spring break all over the state. Schools alternate weeks so it’s not a cluster at vacation destinations.
The rain on saturday was perfection.

My guess is ,DCA being sold out of them days, I think it's because the DCA is really popular for teens and little ones. especially when they are going with friends .
If I was booking a vacation right now, I would probably book DCA over Disneyland because of all the ride closures at Disneyland. There is a lot for me to do at DCA since I am not a local. A lot of DCA would be new to me.
With the news about Autopia im glad they’re deciding not to remove it and just renovating by going with an electric option. In my personal opinion i really do think Autopia is the most underrated attraction at Disneyland. By the way yes its real news and not April fools as it was posted today on the second im pretty certain lol.
I’m most interested to hear what it sounds like… will the cars make faux engine noise?? I sure hope so!!
They need to remove the center railing on the cars and let us free drive

Easter Sunday lines were not bad. Not as bad as the Sunday before. Was even able to get a last minute Blue Bayou reservation. Food was disappointing btw...

The Adventureland crowds you experienced seems pretty average for what I’ve seen on most holiday-period days or any summer day; I.e., miserable lol. Not sure why you’re surprised! 🤣
Oh, and we here in NorCal are having the school spring break right now (post-Easter), so, that might be the answer to the mystery. 😁👍

Just jumped on the disneyland app as i am watching and most lightning lanes are sold out for both parks at 6:30pm! Hope its not like this for our trip in May(3rd week)

Starting at around 23:30, I am interested in the name, if any, of the music you're using first off underneath your dialogue, and then later at 24:36 when it comes to the fore after you're finished speaking. I very much like it and would appreciate being able to source it. I tried using Shazam and SoundHound but neither app were able to identify it. Thanks much. :) Looking forward to further construction updates, and general Disneyland visits. Was last down there, being from Vancouver, back in August of 2006 when I took my youngest down for the 50th Anniversary (we had an absolute blast as she'd never been before. Lots of great lifetime memories made.) and would like to get down there again at some point before I get too much older. :D
