This first Western starring Ronald Reagan is loaded with Action and a fine cast. Rhonda Fleming is the beautiful lost love. The only thing that I fault is the fact that the film should have been restored so as to prevent those spots where there are drop outs. Bravo to Amazon for carrying the movie and letting people buy it.
My favorite Ronald Reagan movie. Almost passed the small listing by until I checked further and realized it was the Reagan film as the pic Amazon uses for it is of a character that gets killed off in the first half hour! I also enjoy watching Reagan ride one of his own horses in the movie after being told repeatedly by the film's wranglers that the thoroughbred mare would be unable to handle the heat of the high desert where they were filming. The mare did just fine while the wranglers' horses were the ones having problems with the heat!
Yep, this is my favorite Ronald Reagan movie. Cavalry? Yes. Military? Yes. Fun? Yes. I've watched it a couple of times since purchasing it here on Amazon, and I thought it was worth both my hard-earned sheckles and popcorn time. Older westerns seem to be a turn-off with the psuedo-elite/liberal, extremism in America today. Oh, we were terrible to the Indians, we tricked the poor French, we stole the whole country and we should be ashamed of ourselves? Who's we, sucker? My grandparents were all immigrants that left crappy European countries around the 1900's because of extremism. And since when do you watch movies for political activism? You're supposed to watch them for escapism! Being a moderate, I detest extremist, especially when they attack something as simple and trival as a freaking movie or entire decades of freaking movies.
I throughly agree with you on this point… Many people also have NO CLUE what is right anymore, especially with extremism and politically correct view points. What happened to people’s views, helping people instead of criticizing or condemning others? With all that has happened throughout human history, including those of ancient civilizations, with all the wars and people fighting for their freedom and their lives, one would think that these negative behaviors would become less not more in life. Humanity hasn’t really learned anything from its own past of failures and mistakes. My ancestors and parents were also immigrants who were living in countries where there was NO freedom, fighting to stay alive and trying to help others and trying to make it a better place to live in. My parents endured World War I and World War II eras (my dad was a miner for the war effort), including surviving during the Great Depression era, besides other hardships my parents faced together, but it is America that gave them their freedom and hope for a better life. People need to grow up and let go of their hatred, bigotry, racism, criticism and oppression towards others. If humanity continues down this path, there will be NOTHING LEFT of humanity, nor will there be anything left on this planet to enjoy the life we have taken for granted, including having done NOTHING to stop the destructive negative behavior which consumes humanity’s energy and leaves negative impacts with words of harsh criticism and negative consequences😢. ….HIGH 5…..👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I liked Reagan,s Santa Fe Trail better ! Shows how Officers prior to Civil War Trained together at West Point only later face each other . Also how small this country was then .
@@robertbaird2780 old Abe Lincoln said that the war was over southern taxes and you can't leave the truth and facts out and the south was already getting rid of slavery. You need to look passed the northern side and look at everything and never forget that Democrats are the founders of the KKK and they are still pushing the same ol things. The south wanted to be left alone but Yankees got what they wanted to happen
One actor l always enjoyed was Noah Beery jr. You could always spot him in westerns and cavalry movies from a mile away. He always held the reins high as he rode , almost always played an NCO and always wore his hat in both cavalry and westerns , sideways with the front brim turned up. Just look at this movie , as a confederate that's how he wore his hat , dressed up as a fake Yankee his hat was so n the exact same style. What a coincidence , nothing new for Hollywood.EH.
I enjoy these movies from when l saw as just a kid in the early sixties , but today with observance you have to ask how Us cavalry troops coming from a week long patrol or the Confederates with very little supplies in a countryside with little water can sport nothing but pristine uniforms. No dust no lice , they look like they took a bath daily and let's not mention sweat. Hollywood at its best , reality back them escaped them completely.
Awesome movie….love it and love the old westerns. Ronald Reagan was a great actor…. hope to find more like this, can’t stand many of today’s movies with so much vulgar language and sexual overtones, it does NOTHING for the story, and actually, it’s uncalled for and takes away from the story itself,….HIGH 5….👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Do you mean first on this channel, or first ever? Reagan was paired with Errol Flynn in a much earlier Western, "The Santa Fe Trail."
Just these golden oldies coming

Fantastic, never thought Ronald Reagan portrayed a traitor from the south, thanks for the video.
From a country built on treason, that's rather hypocritical

it also had people in the same class who went years apart
The smartest Confederate cavalry I have ever seen 😂
The cavalry charged
The indians died
The country was young then
With God on their side!
I knew I recognized that union officers voice, he played the Texan in the treasure of Sierra Madre with Bogart.
Good movie I enjoyed it, and I don't think Reagan was that bad an actor - forget your bias.
Poor Noah Beery, great actor in countless movies, but he rarely survived.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
O filme se baseia em uma situação difícil de aceitar !
Why don`t You aloud us to see the movie in peace without pop-up komercials. TH-cam begins to be a very poor sight.
Reagan is whering the best uniform in the war of Northern aggression
And yet it was the Southern Traitors that fired the first shot, made the first attack.......in defense of slavery, which is despicable, by the way.

I never knew Ronald Reagan was an actor until he became U.S.A PRESIDENT 😮

Typical whitie movie, Apache is lied to and tricked by the whitie and is made out to be the villain.
It's noteworthy that likely Ronald Reagan was a democrat at this time this movie was made. Thank God he realized the truth about the democrat party.
What a lie
Bonzo was a better actor. Stupid script, lousy musical score.
