Order a B&W turn over gooseneck, they are bolt on. I just put one on my 06 F350 King Ranch and it took me 1 hour to install. I ordered mine off eBay and it was $300 cheaper and was brand new.
I love the BW hitches. I've had one in a 250 and 350. Both were new enough trucks that the beds actually had a dimple at the point where you center up to drill the 4inch hole. Using these hitches allowed me to use my 5th wheel companion hitch in either of my trucks.
Them trucks need a little loving to make them last prices of new one are way out of control little maintenance goes a long way I knew that blower motor resistor was bad had it happen good job
good video. I suggest taking look at Dee Zee tool boxes. they also have fuel tanks that are silver or black diamond plated. they are built tough and also look good.
B&W had it installed on two of my trucks in the last 25 years you and family do a great job nothing great on tv got hooked on your videos this winter really enjoyed them got a couple of my friends to watch also
Those are great trucks, look into spraying Fluid Film or Wools Wax under it to keep the rust at bay. I use it on my snow plow,Salting trucks. Works great
Good looking pickup should last you many years to come. I picked up both of mine as projects and so far they have treated me rather well. I have been under the impression the failure of the blower motor resistor in that era of GM pickup's isn't unheard of. I personally have replaced one in a 2002 Silverado and our JD 6310. As for mudflaps I have a 2012 F-250 with factory mudflaps, they seem to do a nice job of keeping debris off the side of the truck. I also have a 2003 F-150 without mudflaps, it's always noticeably dirtier than the F-250. I 100% recommend tow mirrors, my F-250 has factory tow mirrors. I also don't do a lot of towing but it's nice being able to use the convex mirror to see my rear tires and a wider view to the rear is nice to see what's going on beside your vehicle. Nice full set of wrenches!
full running boards-wheel to wheel(alluminum). will keep salt and gravel from hitting frame and body. also keeps the (dust trail) off the bed of your truck
The one thing I would recommend to keep the bed from rusting out would be to install some inner fender liners. Best thing I did for my truck. Nice looking truck.
21:27 Shoot Aaron, I mix and match my sockets and extensions too. Use what is handy I guess. Great you eliminated your issue. I have 315,000 miles on my Silverado. Been super happy with it . Pretty much been trouble free.
Nice truck and pretty much dependable when kept up and the rock panels rusting like that is kinda normal for those trucks well the ones Id had. Nice view of your home and thanks for sharing and you and Mrs continue to be blessed.
That blower motor resistor is a common failure point on a lot of the GM trucks and SUV’s. Mine crapped out, delt with it for a while with only first 3 speeds until one day it all went out.
I have a 2002 Chev 2500 HD...likely set up similar to yours. Bought used in 2015. Has been a good workhorse, has 124,000 miles. Body/bed showing their age but for only putting 1,000 miles a year on it hard to justify putting big $ into a newer truck. Really like the 6.0 engine...plenty of torque for pulling 200 bu wagons.
Got a 04 Chevy 2500 did the same thing pulling my lawn trailer left me sitting along the road! A simple ground wire! They are great work trucks have a 08 Chevy 2500 213,000 miles just keeps going! Enjoy your videos!
I’ve got a 2000 gmc 1500 4x4 with 358,00mi on it, I’ve had to replace that resistor twice so far. Now it’s getting a new transmission. This era of truck are great runners. I’m a full time carpenter and part time farmer. I have used B&W goose neck ball set ups on all my big trucks in the past. I’ve been told the Curt kits a good as well, but never tried one. I mostly use Rapid Hitch as all my trailers currently are bumper pull. Aluminum Tank Industries is the brand of fuel tanks I use coupled with a Fillrite pump. I’m current using Weather Guard tool box in my truck, but ProTech make a great tool box as well, both options are pricey. I’ve used just about every cheap tool box brand out there and on only get a year or two before they start to tear apart. I keep my tool in a Montezuma wedge box. They are ok for the price, they all seem to be rather disposable anymore.
Chevrolet all the way! I have a 04 with only 57xxx miles on it. I plan on trying to keep it basically for the rest of my life. I also have to worry about rust here in SE Minnesota... Nice looking 2500 HD you have!
When they started putting coil springs on the front of 3/4 and ton trucks, they stopped making TRUCKS! 😂 I liked my old '87 K30, and didn't care how it rode. Hoping to give it a second life with a 12v Cummins swap from a '96 Dog. Couldn't keep front end together on the Dodge. Great video, and reostats are a pain to figure out what the problem is.
Good job fixing that Truck I had to do that to my Dodge but one of them resistors in only had 1 speed But it works You want to keep an extra one on hand I bought 2 just in case But a good job on fiction that joke I like it So my friend you have a good day stay safe and we'll catch you on another one
Nice truck and all the maintenance keeps it that way now that you got it fixed up better be taking the little woman out for supper and show her how it will pass everything but a gas station ⛽️ lol😅😅
If you had to do the brake lines, do the fuel lines. I had to replace the fuel pump and disturbing the lines sent rust particles into the injectors. My 1500 came with no fuel filter to catch the rust, just a bad design! If they look sketchy at all pull them. I'm no mechanic but that was my headache.
I would do everything in my power to keep any truck Chevy, Ford or Dodge from this era and older in the best possible condition. New trucks are overloaded with electronics and way over priced. The diesel trucks emissions lower the milage and are much more expensive to maintain. Trucks in the future will be EV useless plastic garbage. My 1999 Dodge trucks heater fan operated the same way with an external resistor. When the resistor gos bad it's a good indicator that the fan motor is going bad. You might want to change the fan too otherwise your resistor may have a short life.
Ford has that same dumb ground cable that goes bad. I used a different bolt on mine and a new wire and it was fine for the rest of the time I had it. Great looking truck!
That 6.0 will run forever. You must fluid film your frame? Looks pretty clean. I use fluid film on my truck. It works so great. Great videos

Hang on to that truck, them regular cab 8 foot box trucks are damn hard to find today
Them trucks need a little loving to make them last prices of new one are way out of control little maintenance goes a long way I knew that blower motor resistor was bad had it happen good job
Sure saves alot of money when you can repair things yourself..Great video..Thanks for sharing..

Weather tech makes a very good set of mud flaps, i put them on my toyota, and they are easy to install and work great
The rheostat will run only on high #5, when it is wearing out.
Huskey wheel liners and or mud flaps work great.
I've a 2013 rwd silverado 1500.
I had an 05 half Silverado and it had the same issue on the blower motor.
B&W Hitch for gooseneck/ 5th wheel is the only thing I would consider. But that's just my two cents. Take it for what you paid for it.
Those are great trucks, look into spraying Fluid Film or Wools Wax under it to keep the rust at bay. I use it on my snow plow,Salting trucks. Works great
B&W gooseneck ball. It flips over for a flat bed floor.

"Full set of wrenches, big and small.." that was pretty funny.

Aaron you sure do a great job of editing your videos. Please keep your videos coming!!! Thanks 😊.
I’d love to find the manual transmission version ofyour truck but they are kinda hard to find in my area.
21:27 Shoot Aaron, I mix and match my sockets and extensions too. Use what is handy I guess. Great you eliminated your issue. I have 315,000 miles on my Silverado. Been super happy with it . Pretty much been trouble free.
Was definitely needing shocks! Piece of mind is priceless.
Hi Aaron.. With those new shocks, your truck will drive & ride like a new one, compared to before.. Have a nice week..
Nice truck and pretty much dependable when kept up and the rock panels rusting like that is kinda normal for those trucks well the ones Id had. Nice view of your home and thanks for sharing and you and Mrs continue to be blessed.
Great video truck maintenance is always good

I have the 2007 GMC Classic 2500hd 2wd with the 6 liter. I put factory looking mud flaps on mine when I first got it.
When you get a fifth wheel hitch get the one with the turn over ball you will never regret it
Got a 04 Chevy 2500 did the same thing pulling my lawn trailer left me sitting along the road! A simple ground wire! They are great work trucks have a 08 Chevy 2500 213,000 miles just keeps going! Enjoy your videos!

Luverne 12”x20”
B&B 5th. Wheel ball is what I use and have had very good luck
That 6.0 is a good motor.
Replace the heater / AC fan in the dash. It got excessive drag making more amperage draw that makes that plug melt down
I got a B&W hitch in my 2500hd it is great
B&W is the only way to go. I've installed probably close to 50 of them never had any issues. Husky splash guards should help ya out.
Great video and great job!! Thank you for sharing. Stay well, safe and have fun.. Have a good day and weekend.
Chevrolet all the way! I have a 04 with only 57xxx miles on it. I plan on trying to keep it basically for the rest of my life. I also have to worry about rust here in SE Minnesota... Nice looking 2500 HD you have!
I just traded in my 06 with under 70,000 that I bought new in 07. Got a new GMC but miss my Silverado.
Mine, 220,000 miles, 2500 GMC SIERRA Good Thanks. N.G. Ind
Best truck ever made.
My brother has the exact same truck.

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO AARON 😊
Nice looking truck u take good care and maintain it well God bless y'all ❤
I would definitely get a b and w gooseneck hitch tractor supply has a good set up for a fuel tank and tool box combo
Husky makes a good heavy mud flap. I have a set on my truck and like them.
Good job fixing that Truck I had to do that to my Dodge but one of them resistors in only had 1 speed But it works You want to keep an extra one on hand I bought 2 just in case But a good job on fiction that joke I like it So my friend you have a good day stay safe and we'll catch you on another one

If your resistor goes out again your fan motor is drawing to many amps. I had that problem with my van heater.
The fan motor is drawing a high resistance and melts the connector to the resistor
Nice truck!

Get some old new holland bailer belt and cut your own flaps put them on with stainless screws and fender washers

Nice video.
Blew the speakers in your truck too, ha!

Chevy gas is pretty hard to beat for reliability.
07 ford f250. 😊 85000 on it.
That truck looks to be in great condition.
Luckily the salt hasnt destroyed it..
I thought you had a little farm near your dad's farm
