I've had my Shotgun for a week now and I absolutely love it. It definitely does feel like a small bike, but not cramped. I am 3 inches taller than you and find it quite comfortable. I think the mistake most people make about this bike is thinking of it as a cruiser, because it's not a cruiser. It's a Roadster just like the Interceptor, and in my opinion handles and rides better than said Interceptor. I do completely agree with you on the foot pegs being so far out. I find myself constantly putting my feet on the peg bracket and not the pegs themselves. I am starting to get used to it, but I somewhat hope a company in the aftermarket makes a different bracket for it to bring the pegs in a bit. My demo ride was also on a Blue one lol.
Thanks for your comments. I agree with on the roadster and not a cruiser style bike. I do prefer the looks and the ride over the interceptor also. Tech bike parts will have a repositioning foot rest hanger soon to purchase. I may try it again in the summer when the weather is not as bad.
I test rode one 2 weeks ago at a demo event here in Phoenix, Arizona, and fell in love. Only problem is that no dealers in AZ have any yet... very frustrating. I ride a Meteor 350 now and love it, and to me, the Shotgun is more like what I was expecting the Super Meteor to be - same style and design cues, very similar riding and foot position, just more "oomph." Nice video, good review.
Thanks for your comments. We are very similar in the UK with RE dealers. Stocks on the Shotgun and the 450 Himalayan are very limited. Hopefully this will improve in the near future. Ride safe
Hi Yes no problem, they was from eBay and just £30 ish really good quality and protection for the price and very comfortable. here's the link www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125546443863?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=g6ksqxeftjk&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=zIZCxNVHQju&var=426590841154&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
17:35 light feeling, which is good considering it's actual curb weight of 240kg which is a fair bit, my honda nc750s is 217kg and I thought that was a bit heavy 😉
Also any and all comments reference to the engine and gearbox is some what mute as it will be exactly the same as the Intercepter, GT and super meteor so in terms of the smoothness and gearbox operation same thing basically 🤷🏻♂️
Wonder if anyone can help out here, looking to purchase a RE Shotgun 650 but seems it’s near impossible to get insurance quotes any where in the UK as the model is so new! Any suggestions feel I’ve exhausted all avenues at this point.
Hi. I recently bought Himalayan 450 and had the same problem. I went with Devitt insurance who was the only company that would insure it. This will get easier as the models are updated to their systems. Hope this helps. Mike.

Is the top speed limited to 75 by any chance?
@@scannaunderscore1 Nope. Not here in the U.S. at least.
@@scannaunderscore1 no. Not limited at all
@@RAD_RIDERS_UK ok then what's the max speed? I got classic 350 2022, limited to 75 but it could go faster as it's not screaming the nuts off

Thankyou for the very nice presentation in such a rainy weather.stay safe my friend!
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes it was a wet day. Ride safe also my friend. Cheers Mick
Foot peg position is totally different to the Interceptor but you have the same problem? Thanks for the review.
You’re welcome and thanks for taking the time to leave your comments. Cheers Mick.
Possibley the worst weather to test ride any bike with 50 odd miles on 😂
But then, if you like it in the wet, you'll love it in the dry.
That's the UK for you. I wouldn't mind trying it again in the dry weather
What do you think about the bike color in the real world?
(I have ordered the same yesterday, but showroom had only Grey & green in hand)
It’s a good looking bike in this colour scheme. Much better in real life.
RAD, I like your gloves, mind sharing the brand here..

It carries its weight very well, and once moving it feels much lighter than the weight suggests. Cheers Mike
11:45 technically the upside down forks were first on the super meteor 😊 so here as with the headlight it's simply a carry over 😜
Yes RE do use their parts across several different models.. This bike is a mix of the Interceptor and Super Meteor
Headlight is different to the Super Meteor.
@@ozhimalayan477cc2 how? Looks exactly the same in pics to me 🤔
Excellent video!
Many thanks 👍

I owned an Interceptor and they ride very similar

I’ll pickup mine today and had a nightmare finding insurance - in the end went with Lexham.
Nice video .. good review
Thank you 🙂
His positioning could be better behind that van
Funny you say that, just watching it and was going to comment about how close he seems to be and straight behind, vulnerable position
I made the mistake of wearing goggles which didn't help my vision. Thanks for pointing it out though.
Got one now need panniers etc
Can anyone help?
Great bike. Panniers are probably best bought from India. EBay has been great for this.
