Matt, another reason we didn't train with numerous keys on the kubaton, was that striking with the keys was difficult to be accurate when striking with the keys. Also the keys could cause pain, and sometime minor injuries if holding the keys, and reduced the effect of the kubaton. Stay safe
I have been carrying one for 20 years and only 1 person ever knew what it was in security. It's a nice weapon and it's funny because when someone asks what it is and I say "It's a key chain, see the keys? What did you think it was!" That usually ends questions lol.
Hi Matt, great to see you. I misplaced my aluminum kubaton, and just got two yesterday, i ordered online. Probably something you have thought of before was putting a couple of handcuff keys on the ring. I still carry a set of cuffs, in the console of my vehicle, if in fact they may be needed. I only have the handcuff keys on the ring, because other keys could interfere when trying to unlock the cuffs, when the PD arrives. Also the cuff keys have an actual purpose. Perhaps you may need to assist an officer struggling to take control of a suspect, and your cuffs may be needed, to restrain other subjects. With your police officer experience, the cuff keys have an actual purpose, on the "ring". Stay safe my friend. Doug.
Had an idea. How about making a kubaton out of epoxy putty? Mix the putting and make a roll and then squeeze it in your hand to make is very supportive and ergonomic
@@Sismodium JB Weld makes something called steel stick. It is a premeasured fairly stiff two part putty. As you mix it is softens and becomed quite moldable. It is extremely hard when cured and can be used to make/repair tools. About $9. I used it often for home repair projects
I believe everything you said in this video because you just look like you can easily knock someone out. I bought one recently from Amazon and needed to see some demonstration videos. Best one I’ve seen … thank you
The thing about here in Canada is that you CAN'T use anything like this, even if you're in a situation where you're confronted with an aggressive subject, the authorities expect you to call 911 🙄 and if you hurt someone with this, you're GOING to be in BIG trouble, especially if the subject lives in a homeless condition or has mental issues (which is very common here) 🤪

It is not, I used a broken tooth brush handle when getting attacked by some guy high on something in an abandoned building. Brokentooth brush was on the floor and I grabbed that sucker and started jamming it into muscle groups, he got off me sharpish. Bought me time to get to my mates for help.
Thank you for watching and thank you for hitting the thanks button!

That’s an excellent idea Doug! I just found an old handcuff key in one of my military boxes last week!
I carry a KOGA stick. I love it. Dulo Dulo are cool too.
Awesome choice Billy!

Probably end up being too brittle, but it could work if you get the ratio just right.

Hello Master, please, what is your watch?
I wear a SUUNTO Ambit3
all well, but with a thick jacket on it probably does not hurts as much at a number of locations
Always go for the eyes. If someone is trying to do you harm, they have lost eyesight privileges.
Exactly. Like why tf would you want to do that to yourself.
Sir what place you can order Kubota? This is Ernie. Thanks
