    These disassembly tutorials are Pheas unique selling point, simplifying the process and using a wide range of models on the market these demystification videos help me find where an issue may be . having recently acquired a used 74u i was keen to rectify some of the wear and tear issue that are very common to the model , what i did sweat over is the muzzle flash that wobbles , lo behold the grub screw , then a pin for the top hand guard , the loose fire selector, all the little wobbles and shakes , this video is invaluable teaching as well as clearly showing the whole mechanical process. And as my proctologist tells me "there is no magic to what i do " .

    Note The first time when you unscrew the flash hider, it will be very hard, make sure to push the button catch down and use a screw driver on the edge holes to crank it loose, I couldn't unscrew it by hand because it was very stiff, after that it could be detached and reattached easily

    I work for a subcontract company making these and suddenly all orders double. I bet you didnt know CYMA subcontracts, but if theire is one complaint they track it down to the worker! Oh yeah, great video giving me flashbacks.🤠 I think we changed the compression springs that are more flimsy, but the seals have been more improved and lubricated. There's a couple other things I saw that look different from now but I think they are trying to improve it because it's become more popular. I think you can expect an official upgrade soon and upgrade parts available like better battery, battery housing with charging port, and larger compression chamber in 2024.

    Ak parts weren't actually made from Bakelite at least not commonly, that was a 40s material that quickly got replaced by various plastics. The Ak series used AG-4S which is a glas reinforced plastic in a sort of ember color that often got mistaken for bakelite. Also thanks for the tutorial, my airsoft didn't come with one, interestingly enough that lock on the handguard is installed the other way on mine which lead to a bit of a confusion, it was also unlocked when I got it.

    Hi, real AK owner here. The hinge on the folding stock isn't easily replaceable. The m4 stock adaptors are meant to go on the back of standard stamped recievers (fixed stock AK'S). They literally just don't have the right reciever for the job, but luckily in airsoft its not that hard to replace recievers.

      Hello! It all depends on what you are look to get out of it. Out of the box they are pretty damn amazing! If you want faster rate of fire... then a new motor would be a good option, and is realtively easy to swap. If you want more range, then a tight bore with a good quality hop rubber (maple leaf MR or a Delta Armouries Rhop rubber plus an omega nub with either will do well) after that... a mosfet is ALWAYS a good investment, but those are harder to install and set up. • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I dont have this anymore, but I think the actual inner barrel runs to the end of the proper outer barrel (maybe a little longer) if you remove the muzzle device, there is a 14mm negative to 22mm adapter, this needs (usually) a grub screw removing, then this will expose the 14mm threads, then you can fit a tracer. You might need to add a 1" outer barrel extension or replace the inner barrel for a touch shorter one. Pheas

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya! Glad you are liking my content! It would certainly handle an 11.1v lipo, it will put added wear on the trigger contacts from "arching" which is basically the electricity jumping between the contacts and burning it slightly. Now this is a slow process and will occur more quickly with an 11.1 than a 7.4v but still talking ages and ages before it causes issues. You could replace all your wring and install a moset based system with control wires on the contacts, this stops arching and increases the amount of power from the battery getting to the motor (as it is direct from battery to motor and not via the trigger block) but this takes money and a bit of expertise to install. You will be fine with an 11.1v ...as your mate says... Send it! Pheas

    Hey, I thought of buying my first airsoft weapon for bday just a few days ago; a APS-made AKS-74U (because of the really neat aesthetics and the blow-back) but in the last moment I went for the CYMA one since EBB drains the battery more, there is quite an amount of hate on APS (due to the internals they put into their weapons, latest opinions I noticed were from 2y ago even from Reddit which is the worst place possible for advice) and there were little reviews about the gun itself*.
    I can't believe I'm asking this stupid question on a platform like this instead of a specified ASG forum, but did I just actually dodge a bullet? I know, that's a lot of text but I am purely honest.
    *There were in fact some videos on YT showcasing the gun, but they were made by non-English and/or non-Polish speakers.

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hiya. My past experience of APS has been bad, where the inernals were of very questionable quality and didn't last long before breaking. In terms of their AK I can't comment on it, but if it is still the same as the older one then you may have dodged the bullet there. The new stuff, although they have still made some questionable choices at times, seems to be fair solid internally and externally. The e-boar we had, is with its new owner now and he has had no issues at all, and he has put a fair few rounds through it now.
      I will add the APS AK to the "to get" list to see what it is like and bring a modern review to the table and disassembly as well of course.
      The Cyma one is an excellent piece of kit though and will serve you well!

    Hello Pheas, I was excited to receive my 1st airsoft gun. I first fired it a few days ago and everything was fine. Last night I tried again and now it isn't working. The trigger and everything works as usual but the pellets won't feed from the magazine and shoot out the barrel. This gun is brand new so I'm not sure what the issue is. Can you please help me solve this issue? Thanks

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya. Sorry to hear you are having issues. The first thing I would like to ask: Is the magazine wound up? and have you kept winding it up? as it will need you to keep winding it up.
      Next thing, Have you set the hop on it? and if you have, could you have set it too high causing a jam in the hop unit?
      You could also make sure the hop isnt jammed too (use the clearning rod, with the mag out) just to be safe.
      Let me know how you get on! Pheas

    • @kenshiroFNS
      @kenshiroFNS 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PheasAirsoft thanks for the reply. The gun is a Cyma Aks74u 045. I have put a jamming rod into the barrel, there is no obstruction and yes I have wound up the magazine fully. The only way the gun will shoot a bb is if I physically drop a pellet into the hole where the magazine goes into. Is a pellet suppose to be able to be dropped from the front of the barrel and fall all the way back into the air nozzle area? The pellet stops right before the hole opening and I have to use a jam rod to push it all the way into the back. Not sure if that means anything. So I'm wondering if this a magazine issue or a barrel issue. Also since I'm a noob and dumb I used some solid colored .12 bbs in the magazine. Did this ruin my gun?

      Out of the box, if this was mine to keep, the only thing I would change is the motor, I would swap it to a better, high speed motor. As the range and accruacy and build quality is great. After 6 to 21 months, I would consider maybe a better inner barrel (like a 6.03 inner diameter) and a better hop rubber. But the quality is excellent out of the box!

    Cyma screwed my build, when they put glue on the front, they didn't glue the adapter to the gun, but they did glue the adapter to the muzzle brake so I couldn't access the grub screw whatsoever no way to grab no way to twist absolutely appalling CYMA SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES luckily I've already rethreaded a few guns so I already have proper threading to fix this bullshit but big middle finger to CYMA

      It could be that the newer version has a quick change spring system in the back of the gearbox, it's still not accessible without lifting the gearbox. Pheas

      @@jefferu2577 I think it's mostly because there is nothing to them in this style. It's just a metal rod with a spring on. The rod is detached from the button that releases the cover and slides out backwards, then the dust cover can move towards the selected and comes out at the back. It just generally comes out so quick and easy they people don't spend time on it. Is it something you would want me to do a quick video on? Pheas
