      Thanks for helping make my dream prop come true, Jay!! Dave led me to your channel through this build and, as a car guy myself, your work is truly inspiring! THANK. YOU.

    Okay.... that guy's skill set is absolutely god tier. Bucks a whole car, tons of bodywork, makes molds, fabricates, designs his own trans bellhousing adapters, welds and builds his own custom exhaust, BUILDS HIS OWN MUFFLERS FROM SCRATCH, and the other 57 things he does.
    What the hell..... who is this guy.

    Alex steel is making your gothic gauntlet. It's pretty cool to see youtube recognition, and it would be aweso.e if y'all could get an official collaberation going. You both are very talented metal workers.

    An armor that I would love to see is the full metal alchemist, Edward's arm and leg. Great work

    Word of advice from a sheet metal worker... get red and green offset aviation snips. It makes a world of difference cutting around curves and you won't have so many fish hooks

      Oh that's just the nature of TH-cam. I imagine the main people disliking videos are kids who thought they were clicking on something video game related and didn't get what they thought they were coming for haha

    If you anneal the work piece before forming you will most likely avoid cracks

    • @matameh
      @matameh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi James, is it true, maybe he used a very thin metal sheet or it doesn't matter, the part must always be annealed. regards

    You said you would let us know how to get all your templates precut from sendcutsend. Are you still planning on doing that? If not, do i have to fax them my temple? I had a digital one once but lost it. All i have is a paper copy.

    How did you determen the form of the mold, not everyone has the same body shape

    • @DavidGuyton
      @DavidGuyton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was able to borrow a plastic jetpack cast from one of the original props. I did a lot of measuring and fitting contour gauges to be able to reproduce the part nearly exactly

      They're going for $6,000 USD now, due to extreme increases in material costs.

    Kool video… I definitely learned a thing or two.
    The background music makes it hard to take in though. It definitely feels distractive.
    Constructive feedback.
