MLB Moments Of The 2010s

  • What a decade it has been! Here are what I believe are its defining moments. Did I miss any? Have any suggestions for more videos? Leave them in the comments. (Side note: I wanted to include Madison Bumgardner's 2014 Game 7 performance but couldn't find a clip without music/commentary.)
(Another side note: one thing I set out to do was to include every World Series clinching hit. I forgot one. Allan Craig's homer in 2011 Game 7. Whoops.)
All rights go to MLB, Fox, TBS, and MLB.com

All sorts of great memories from the past decade of baseball; the Giants ending a 54-year championship drought, finally bringing a WS title back to the Bay Area & then beginning a mini-dynasty( winning 3 titles in 5 years ), the 2011 Cardinals defying the odds, the 2013 'Boston Strong' Red Sox, the Cubs and their historic 2016 World Series championship ending 108 years of frustration, the 2018 Red Sox dominating all season, and finally the 2019 Washington Nationals, another team that defied all odds and won their 1st championship. I won't say anything about the Astros frauds, but my two main issues involve the clips on the Royals. The epic comeback against the Astros in the 8th that would've eliminated them wasn't included. Gordon's game-tying HR in game 1 of the WS wasn't included either, which is one of the most iconic HRs in Royals history. Last, but not least, including the on-field memorials of Jose Fernandez and Tyler Skaggs, but include nothing on Yordano Ventura, who also had a memorial? Anyway, it was fun watching and I know you can't fit everything in, but being a Royals fan, these moments really stood out. Thanks for the hard work!

27:53 - Great moment for Giants and their fans but you missed an even more unforgettable moment that occurred right before the Giants won. 2014 World Series. Game 7. Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Bases empty. Giants lead by one and Madison Bumgarner who came on as a reliever was one out away from leafing the Giants to their third title in 5 years. And then Alex Gordon hits a shallow line drive to left center field which is misplayed by Gregor Blanco allowing the ball to roll past him and all the way to the wall where Juan Perez kicks it. All the while Alex Gordon heads toward third and possibly head towards home. Every baseball fan in America gasped and every Giants fan puked all over themselves. The only thing that would have made the play more dramatic would have been if Gordon had tried to score (never would have made it with Brandon Crawford’s arm and Posey at the plate) leading to the first ever WS game (and series) ending play at home plate.

hey i was wondering if any of you can help me since im a bit confused? The announcer said dude was safe because "there was interference at third base" but thats just it, i thought interference was committed by an offensive player and obstruction by the defensive player? Since obstruction is not the same as interference; obstruction is typically committed by a defensive player against an offensive player, while interference is typically committed by an offensive player against a defensive player. Surely hes not suggesting that the runner (the offensive player) was rewarded for him causing the "interference" so im left to believe the announcer is mistaken or that im just completely wrong. Any insight is much appreciated.

Typical Dodgers fan pretending the Rockies don't exist. Ubaldo Jimenez pitched the first no hitter in franchise history this decade.

What makes baseball so special is that every year its different teams in the World Series. Yeah there's a repeat here and there but there's always new teams going for it. Not like other sports like the NBA and NFL

It's crazy that I tear up at the Fernandez section. I wasn't a fan of the marlins, didn't follow his career, and yet I cry like a baby when I see that home run.

The 2010s was an awkward decade if you’re a Dodgers, Angels or padres fan. Two World Series losses are home was a heartbreaker. Same with the giants winning three championships. My most hated team. Also the cubs World Series win was great. Watching the Astros lose was awesome. Royals and Cardinals had great teams too.
