Thank you for going over that. I ordered some fiber gel, and I'm pretty sure I ordered the top coat that goes with it. I'm glad to know about what the different top coats are for before I had these issues.
Nice top Karen Good tips 👍 I've been getting lifting lately and it hurts so bad when my nails pop off😢 And it sucks cause my xxl long nails took forever to do

I actually always use Gloss over natural gel manicures! Ive never used anything else because it just looks & works amazing... Can you use Mani•Q top coat on natural nails too? If not, what other YN top coats can be used for natural nails?
If you are working over an enhancement, most of the time you don't need a base coat. You can simply apply your design on the filed nail and top coat over. In place of the base coat, you could apply a coat of Protein Bond for better adhesion.
thats insane that people actually put oil residue before top coat; so many clients poorly wash their hands and i just tell them to do all that once they are leaving i cant have them waste time by washing; if anything i have an airbrush compressor dust them off
It's a common issue that lots of people forget about! Put the date on the bottom of your lamp and you'll always know when it's time to change them before you start having issues!
The only way to fix those chipped gel nails is to not get them done to yourself in the first place hahah I mean nails grow all the time forever so why bother with the fakery is what I’ll say.. yeh.. I’ve ALWAYS only worn my own nails… and gladly so cos my nails are long healthy and strong naturally and even though other individuals think they are falsies I can guarantee you that they are the real deal… if one or more should break then I’ll just trim em all down then wait patiently for the new growth… I paint and care for them all by myself… I don’t need nor do I want anybody doing this for me because the thought of me entering one of those hideous nail bars fills me with complete dread.. I don’t want strangers touching my hands… no way Jose cos some people’s hands are just filthy & germified up to the max… Getting fake anything done to yourself will only ruin that of which is real especially if one does the fake on a consistent continual basis… But thanks for sharing this with us all the same YNinc - it’s appreciated nonetheless !! Cheerio ;)’
It sounds like you are one of the lucky people to genetically have strong natural nails, but not everyone does. For some people, it may not be possible to grow out their own nails without some type of enhancement. Unfortunately, as with any industry, there are some salons that may not be up to par, but we recommend doing your research as a consumer and find a good quality, clean salon and you can find great techs that do quality work without damaging the nails.
It's always awesome to hear the most simple, yet thorough, information. Thank you!

Is there a top coat you recommend using as a base for art?

Or... just let people do what they like?
