  • Eladrin are elves native to the Feywild, a realm of beauty, unpredictable emotion, and boundless magic. An eladrin is associated with one of the four seasons and has coloration reminiscent of that season, which can also affect the eladrin’s mood:
Winter is the season of contemplation and dolor, when the vibrant energy of the world slumbers.

You do know that you are not locked in to one particular season. You can freely change at the end of every long rest.

    I love the eladrin
but I kinda want a winter elf
as in, shorter than the typical human
and is good with tinkering or with cold magic or light (you choose)
and other short elves, as myth elves are usually much shorter than humans (if not but sized haha)
maybe we could get a book for a world with shorter elves
I'd love to see a race of shortass elves obsessed with contracts
and a race of tiny trickster elves
maybe in that world there could be 4 elven races, but they are the inverse of the eladrin
winter elves are jolly and love spresding joy
spring elves are stoic and obsessed with contracts
summer elves are idk, some other elf archetype (I'll look some up later haha
    autum elves are mischiveous tricksters
idk, I'd like it, and I think it'd be interesting

I guess i'm looking at it from a caster stand point, so why would you misty step TOWARD enemies like the other seasonal racial trait's are used for (except for spring). So I mean if you were a frontliner and wanted to get into the action, ya Autumn or Summer make sense, but as a caster who just wants to get away, its a free misty step with an added bonus of frightened. That seems ok to me.

Awesome detailed video bro, this might be my new favorite race in D&D. The Winter one is what I have been looking for, I thought I was going to have to create my own sub race but then found this video. Thank you

I would use the Winter's Fey step for battlefield control. Super situational, but you could push an enemy towards the melee blender if you are ahead of them in the initiative order.
