      The BH PIR test - took me just 10 minutes and you only need to do it once, as long as you don’t change your pressure washer or foam cannon.

    Nice video! The segment of the video where you wet sanded a fairly deep cut in the clear. I know compounds are really the only solution for defects like this, but man do I hate the powder they create. It just goes everywhere. And the sad part is you usually don’t find major defects like this until after you have done most of your polishing. Irritates me to no end. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Till the next one.

    This was a really nice video full of knowledge. The Toyota was dripping gloss and the coating was working as expected. Everyday in Nashville I see cars with two wide stripes down the roof where the clear coat has failed because of these automatic car washing places.
    I did order a new MTM foam cannon and the Meguiars scangrip light and your code worked on both items.
    Finally you have some cool stickers like the Starbucks one and the let it eat one.

    Hi Phil. I dig the MTM foam cannon and have one. Considering the price I only put pH neutral soaps in it . Since the AR pushes out more than 2 gpm, I’ve read that the larger orifice , the 1.25 is recommended for the MTM . Great video as always.

    • @Ruhdiculus
      @Ruhdiculus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're gonna want to do the 1.25 with that much flow. You're gonna really stress the machine with a 1.1 orifice.

    So I'm DIY experimenting. Using Meguiars Ultimate line and Turtle Hybrid Solutions line
    on my 12 year old Kia Optima which is dark gray. Doing the roof all Ultimate line with fast finish topper. The hood with Turtle Hybrid Solutions Black polish and wax with Seal and Shine after the 24 hr cure before the Black spray wax. Then trying a little mix up on the quarters and doors. The trunk, rear bumper and front bumper all Turtle Hybrid Solutions with Turtle Hybrid Solutions Ceramic coating maybe followed by the Black spray wax.

    Yeah the touchless stinks, but I have no other options in the winter. Only outside running water available. I bring vehicles home and do rinseless wash.
    Does the coatings remove just using light polishes?
    Fun video. Hi wife.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! It depends on the coating. Usually typical 2 year coatings can be removed with a lightly polish with an medium pad. Usually a few passes and it’s gone.

      Hi. Basically, it depends on your area. We have been mobile for over 10 years, but when we finally got a garage we slowly started having people come to us and drop the vehicle off. Customers don't care, as long as you have a good reputation and do great work. Also, make sure where you live is safe, and neighbors won't mind.

    Oh man, I love the Adam's Christmas special liquids. They smell SOOO delicious! I ran out of the car wash two weeks ago, and miss that Egg Nog smell. Dargh!! I haven't used the tire dressing yet, but is it better to spray it on the tire and then apply with a brush, or can I use my foam pad to spread the dressing? BTW, I know that accent, and I was going to make the same type of post, but it wouldn't come out right in text. LOL! I live in upstate/central NY and we often use the touchless washes to try to keep as much salt/sand from sitting on the underside of the cars. There might be 2-3 days a winter where its bearable to hand wash, any recommendations to help preserve coatings under these types of conditions (until spring when we can decon properly)? For reference I have CSL + ExoV4 on one of my cars and the Adams Graphene (not advanced) on the other.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. I totally understand. We used to live up there also. It was difficult to keep a vehicle clean. Touchless is fine, but the do it yourself car washes is what I used to go to all the time. Bring your own. Hacker of water with nice mitts. Just use the soap and water from those places and contact wash it there. That’s probably the safest way it takes longer because you may have to keep filling the machine with money, but at least you won’t get horrible swirls and missed spots from the automated ones. Hope that helps. 😎👍🏼
