yoohyeon gave me goosebumps with her high notes!! she really had potential to be main vocalist too. dreamcatcher is such a powerful group, even the rap line can sing.
Didn't you find it weird Dreamcatcher have a main vocalist position and a lead vocalist position?
It's not that Yoohyeon can't be the main vocalist, she can, it's just that Siyeon is that little bit ahead of her, and even Yoohyeon acknowledges this herself. This is also why they're known as the vocal line.
@@DanteLovesPizza they can have 2 main vocalists. A lot of groups have more than 1 main eg Shinee, WayV, NCT Dream, G Idle,.

Yeah, I know, but that's the title they went with, main vocalist for Siyeon, lead vocalist for Yoohyeon. It's honestly the same thing, but in all fairness, it's best to keep it as one member for each role, because it keeps things clear and I like the way they've approached it.
@@DanteLovesPizza what i meant is that its not because Siyeon is better that Yoohyeon is a lead. Yoohyeon is a lead because her skill is currently only at lead vocal level. If she is good enough for the main position, they can have 2 main vocalists Siyeon and Yoohyeon with both taking turns doing main vocals part, you can see this in groups like WayV, NCT Dream, G Idle, Shinee,... But for DC, song parts are fixed for main on Siyeon and lead for Yoohyeon. No alternating has ever been done if I'm not wrong.

Personally, I don't think that's a great idea. "Two main vocalists" tends to lead to clashes, even among fans. I think Yoohyeon is good enough to be the main vocalist, but because Siyeon is that little bit better, and to avoid conflicting issues, I definitely think this was the best approach.
Also, there have been instances where Yoohyeon has had more lines than Siyeon, and nobody cries about the distribution, like, "why does the main not have the most?" The reason no one does this is simple, because everyone acknowledges that Yoohyeon can easily carry that role, but at the same time, everyone acknowledges that Siyeon is that little bit better, therefore the difference in roles.
And for the record, when I say Siyeon is slightly better, it's largely due to industry standards. Yoohyeon has a softer, more graceful and elegant voice. Siyeon has the strong, powerful vocal that echoes, and this is usually seen as better by the industry.
