I didn't know this group at all till a few months ago. My sister is a huge fan of theirs but she doesn't know anyone else who stans them as hard as she does, and she asked me to go with her to the Barcelona concert back in February. I listened to a couple of songs, I liked them and I went to the concert at least knowing I would enjoy the music. But woah... They gave such an amazing performance, and they were so charming and fun when they spoke to the audience, I left the Sant Jordi Club being a whole fan lol. I especially loved SuA (she randomly spoke Basque sometimes and I was so endeared by it lmao) and YooHyeon, but all seven girls are such queens. And now, more than a month later, I find myself watching their older stuff (like this video) and being more and more blown away. I already loved this song by Maroon 5, but they made it SO MUCH BETTER! The fact that they don't change pronouns means a lot to me as a bisexual woman. So yeah, I'm falling through the K-Pop rabbit hole at 30 years old lol.

The best day of my life with my friends Insonnia (we were 30 people from Italy) and than I was in Milan. I love Dreamcatcher so much. I saw hundreds of concerts in my life, but they are another level!

I love how Dreamcatcher's covers are always buffed up just a little bit. It's like they want to respect the original but they also know there's nothing that can't be improved with an instrumental upgrade.
For them, since that's their sound they rock out and make the song their own in their own way. both versions are good, DC just adds a special touch so that their fans will enjoy it

When you think about it, the original by Maroon 5 doesn't even sound nearly as rock as this. The original had more of a pop tune than rock. Dreamcatcher really did a good job of covering the song in their own music style, which makes this cover in my opinion, better than the original ;) Keep rocking girls! Love you!
I'm in my "Dreamcatcher covers era". They are so addicting. Taking good songs, adding a bit of Deukae flavour and the result is always an unqiue cover that respects the original while also sounding like their own song. I don't want to put other fandoms on me, but I think if there is any "Queens of cover" title in K-pop, Dreamcatcher would really deserve it.

Alexandra Gnatenko multifandom well before Dreamcatcher debuted there was a group, MINX, which included some of the Dreamcatcher members. When they added the three others they did a 180 with their concept. You should look up some MINX songs and compare them to Dreamcatcher songs... (idk if this helped but I hope it did)
I could say the same thing and say 'They are not straight', you know absolutely nothing about their sexual orientation. When Maroon 5 sing this, it has straight lyrics, but when Dreamcatcher sing it, it's gay af. Plus they are not claiming the girls to be lesbians, they are saying that the lyrics are gay because they haven't changed the pronouns which is so true.
This version is so boring, the voices just aren't loud enough and honestly it's very underwhelming. The original will always outclass this cover, in my opinion

Youngblaise2 She's the main vocalist. They are all very good singers, but Siyeon has an incredible voice that suits rock the best out of all of them. The rest of their songs are quite good, too, so I would recommend checking them out in more detail, if you haven't already.

@@nmc123y yes, but most artists tend to change pronouns in songs, besides Dreamcatcher supports lgbtq, and that's despite South Korea still being a very conservative society when it comes to lgbtq, and honestly you didn't ruin any illusion because we are free to interpret music in any way we want. Being lesbian myself I just prefer this version, doesn't mean I assume the artists sexuality (though gay or not it shouldn't matter, but it's possible some kpop idols are gay but it's extremely hard to come out as such in the industry and SK as a whole) , just that it's obviously more relatable to me lol.
It's just my personal opinion but in terms of concept originality and vocal capicity Dreamcacther should get on top with Black Pink, Red Velvet and GFriend ( Not a big fan of GFriend concept but their live are great despite their pretty complicated dance ). ( not adding Mamamoo because they are a bit older compare to the new generation not adding twice because their live are disappointing and I find them overrated. Not bad, just overrated ).
ChiyoriMizushima and 'my opinion' is that DC is gonna be at top in terms of vocals alongside SPICA & MAmamoo . while their dances are on par with Gfriend and RV . I'm still waiting for Pristin to debut , to show the world what they Got ! he he .

Didn't know that this was a song by Maroon 5 until I read the comments. I am a big fan of Girl Groups that sing songs in English and I'm glad to tell you that I really like this version of Dreamcatcher.
I love how Dreamcatcher's covers are always buffed up just a little bit. It's like they want to respect the original but they also know there's nothing that can't be improved with an instrumental upgrade.
For them, since that's their sound they rock out and make the song their own in their own way. both versions are good, DC just adds a special touch so that their fans will enjoy it

I'm in my "Dreamcatcher covers era". They are so addicting. Taking good songs, adding a bit of Deukae flavour and the result is always an unqiue cover that respects the original while also sounding like their own song. I don't want to put other fandoms on me, but I think if there is any "Queens of cover" title in K-pop, Dreamcatcher would really deserve it.

Being lesbian myself I just prefer this version, doesn't mean I assume the artists sexuality (though gay or not it shouldn't matter, but it's possible some kpop idols are gay but it's extremely hard to come out as such in the industry and SK as a whole) , just that it's obviously more relatable to me lol.

It's just my personal opinion but in terms of concept originality and vocal capicity Dreamcacther should get on top with Black Pink, Red Velvet and GFriend ( Not a big fan of GFriend concept but their live are great despite their pretty complicated dance ). ( not adding Mamamoo because they are a bit older compare to the new generation not adding twice because their live are disappointing and I find them overrated. Not bad, just overrated ).
