I plan to play Promise me by Beverly Craven on my Casio CT-700. In 2022 I was going to buy either a Tyros 4 or Tyros 5 and very nearly ended up with a Tyros 5 because some of the sounds in Tyros are based on the same samples I already have in Halion/Halion Sonic but one reason I didn't buy a Tyros in the end was because I wasn't really bothered about auto accompaniments so there wasn't really any point in me buying an arranger. If producing backing tracks is more your think then either get a midi controller, a DAW and VST instruments like Native Instruments or Halion 7 or a synth type keyboard like Yamaha Montage, MODX or Yamaha Motif XS ( which is still an absolutely fantastic sounding workstation and completely blows even Genos 2 out of the water ). Stradivari Violin by Native Instruments is one of the most realistic violin sample libraries out there. In summer 2022 I was really looking forward to doing Shadows covers on my new arranger keyboard the following year but I can still do Shadows covers on my Yamaha PSS-790 and that's still a respectable sounding keyboard especially considering it's a small keyboard but if I had known I was not getting a Tyros I would have jumped at the chance to get a Yamaha PSR-400. Or maybe I should have played it safe and bought the black Tyros 4.
That was an awesome demonstration! The best I've seen so far. It's clearly a beautiful machine, one that I cannot justify buying myself, not only due priorities, but because my playing abilities are nowhere near worthy enough. Still, thank you for sharing, it was quite delightful. More on Tyros 4 would be quite a treat! *_*
@masterpatric07 it'll to hard to use the onboard controller like the AF switch with both keys stack up..With that kind of price add up.. i'll just go for the MOTIF...
If you want a piano its best to get a piano. Weighted keys are worthless for playing sound that are not piano, they just slow you down. Non weighted keys are best to play all the different sounds and other then piano. Putting Weighted keys on a tyros would be pointless it would ruin its playability for a lot of the different instruments other the piano. However Non-weighted keys will NO negative impact on the piano sound. Also very hard to transport 88 keys.
Sir, Allow me to laugh at you! Perhaps the CVP series don\t have as many sounds and effects, but it's still a piano, with graded and weighted keys, wheras as this is a keyboard. Honestly, I wouldn't compare them, since they are the best at what they do in different leagues. But if you need 88 weighted keys then there's no other option than the CVP-series if you want to stay with Yamaha, that is.
I have just changed from tyros series.. 1, 2, 3 and 4! to a CVP509 and wish i hadnt :( The tyros is a far better instrument for the keyboard player.... The CVP is alone a great instrument for the discerning piano player! Putting my CVP up for sale now and hoping to get another tyros soon....
it is not the keyboard or organ or even piano, it is the person who plays it, and you are the one sir.

CVP 509 got Tyros3 technology inside, so not that bad ;-)

Does anyone know if you can load motif sounds on to the flash memory expansion board? If I could it would be "luvly".
Yamaha CVP-series?!?
Does anyone know the name of the piece from 2:19-2:49(string sample)
what is the title ofthe song at 5:53

MOTIF XF8 IS MUCH BETTER THAN TYROS4 AND HAVE 88KEYS
GIVE ME A REAL PIANO,NOTHING COMES CLOSER TO THE REAL DEAL.
The House of the Rising Sun
5:53 action = just plug an mp3.......... that is not playing, too much automated playing
Demos always start with piano! I don't like piano, so I skip past it.
@cvl85 then buy a keyboard with 88 keys and this one (=
They'll never make these with 88 weighted keys.. means i'll never buy this machine
CVP series is rubbish compare to this. it's just some overpriced home digital piano. This Tyros is a monster.
