The scene where Robert gets the 1 million bonus is actually one of my favorite scenes in the movie. It served many purposes; in a way, it helped portray Metallica as this hugely successful band that could just hand out a million dollars; as a fan, that was nice. But it also made me appreciate it from Robert's perspective; we all love an underdog story, we all fantasized about joining Metallica. It really portrayed the band as generous and kind to the new member. Lars's scenes about his art were cool too, it helped break up the monotony of the music theme through the film. I love the documentary, my friends and I would watch it together and it was a good time in our early 20's. We still reminisce about the days when we would hang out and watched that Metallica documentary.
I wish there were more songwriting scenes, like the first time each riff was played by Hetfield. The genesis of a Metallica tune is fascinating and while there are making of videos, I feel like they are leaving out a lot of stuff. Maybe they are not, that's just my opinion. I literally can not get enough of the band during this time...
dave should have stayed ! today with james and daves experience and knowledge combined with maturity could possibly make the greatest metal album devised!!

I want to see the 3+ hours cut. #ReleaseThe3HourSKOMCut
Bob Rock was in the film?
Some Kind of Monster really solidified Dave Mustaine as a B leaguer....

It was Lars trying to destroy Napster I found uncomfortable watching.
