I'll share my experiences, Mango trees are very resilient, the biggest concern / danger is over watering which can be an issue for container culture. to answer your question, unless the tree went through some kind of stress, it is safe to plant in the ground. although you can plant a tree in Florida all year round, it is better in the spring, and summer. because we get rains, and the trees become more active. for example, I lost a tree to hurricane Irma, and intend to put in a new tree to replace it, my plans are to get one next spring. if i was to put one in the ground now, and we have a wet cold winter, it might not do that well.
Thanks for answering in my absence... I was out of town for 2 days. This is a very good answer. There might be circumstances that a pot might be a good alternative for transition. But if you are able to water the plant in its new spot every day for a couple weeks, then every other day for a few more weeks, planting directly to the new spot would be ideal.
very nice prepairation.
Hi Chris, can the size of tree shown in the 7 gallon (the larger tree on the left) support fruit during its first season in the ground?
great looking trees.
Thanks!
Do you recommend leaving a tree in the pot for a while before transplanting?

A Chinese saying - the best time to plant a fruit tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is today!
The 3 gallon sized trees 🌳 have gotten much smaller. Demand for mango trees 🌳 has gone insane. Growers are selling out as soon as grafts have taken.

Many mangos with good color are delicious! However many of the commercially-grown mangos with color do not taste very good.
