    Good and clear.
    If I might add a further thought, I'd say that where the Employer has failed to issue a VO or rejected a legitimate request from the Contractor for a formal VO, that rejected request becomes a claim.

    Hello Sir love the videos, out of curiosity. If the client is to request a variation, the price for that is based on the SOR; if your team has to move all works, say, down three levels and set up again, is this price included in the variation on top of the SOR, or is this a variation for the work then a claim for the disruption. Thank you!!

      Depends in what is mentioned in the contract. If original design is to be changed then defenitely it is a variation

    Thank you for sharing, sir. Anyway, I would like to ask a question about Variation and Claim (EOT and/or cost).
    I guess any variations or changes to the Works usually impacts the original Time for Completion and/or cost. Therefore, in case there's a variation or changes to the Works and to secure the Contractor's entitlement to the Contract and applicable laws, normally the Contractor shall submit 1 (one) formal notice [only for variation] or 2 (two) notices [for variation and in further EOT+cost claim for such variation]?
    Thank you.

    • @QuantitySurveyingStudio
      @QuantitySurveyingStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The notice for variation can include eot also.

      @@QuantitySurveyingStudio So, if the Contractor have VALID variations and the Engineer/Employer acknowledges it, the Contractor does not need to submit Claim Notices?

    Thanks for video. My question on which I need your insight is that if BOQ quantities differs for excavation and backfill works differ a lot and Contractor didn’t notice at the time of tendering but when contract awarded and work on site started so contractor mer with this unforeseen huge increase in quantity due to cut and fill. So now contractor is submitting his quantities based on real work executed let’s say 2 million m3 and BOQ quantities or contract quantities was 1 million m3 so what would the claim for this case. Thanks in advance

    • @QuantitySurveyingStudio

      It will be a variation.
