Wow heard this song again after 2 years and dug up some deep memories. This this song helped me through my worst of days.. when I was broke, hurt, confused, alone and still fighting the start of becoming mature. Most people listen to this song to remember someone who left but to me, this song was reinforcement and strength. Made me think of who I am and what I was letting go. Glad to see how much I've changed and grown since I last cried to this song. And to this day, it still makes me cry but now for a different reason- that is to say bye to the old me, who was nothing but a child in pain who had yet to understand herself and open their eyes to our world.

Wow heard this song again after 2 years and dug up some deep memories. This this song helped me through my worst of days.. when I was broke, hurt, confused, alone and still fighting the start of becoming mature. Most people listen to this song to remember someone who left but to me, this song was reinforcement and strength. Made me think of who I am and what I was letting go.
Glad to see how much I've changed and grown since I last cried to this song. And to this day, it still makes me cry but now for a different reason- that is to say bye to the old me, who was nothing but a child in pain who had yet to understand herself and open their eyes to our world.

Alec, I feel like we are kindred spirits. I had a 2 year long relationship going that I broke off eariler this year, and this really encompasses the feelings from it. We both write, but I can't put my feelings out lyrically like you can, that's a true talent, love. But my books aren't half bad.
When you go on tour, promise me you'll go to Kansas City, Missouri. It's the closest big city to my college. (And yes I signed up for your mailing list).
