  • The mystery of the afterlife has been debated by philosophers, scientists, and theologians for thousands of years.
But you might be surprised to learn that in the 21st century, there is now more evidence than ever before that consciousness continues on after this lifetime. From near death experiences, to quantum physics, psychedelic research, mysticism, and more...a stunning volume of data challenges our understanding of life and death.
In this video, I present 7 reasons why the mystery of the afterlife may be far more incredible than we currently understand.
    00:00 - Intro
    01:59 - Near Death Experiences
05:10 - DMT the "Spirit Molecule"
06:50 - Research into Reincarnation & Past Life Memories
08:58 -Remote Viewing, ESP, and Parapsychology
    11:11 - Quantum Physics and Non-Local Consciousness
12:54 - UFOs, High Strangeness, and Consciousness
15:35 - Mysticism and the "Perennial Philosophy"
    18:04 - Concluding Thoughts

what about "animals" other than human? dogs? birds? ants? i believe we are "energy" powering whatever earthen vehicle were in. when die "energy" goes back to universe. Since we know we exist now. We know we weren't in our current state before we were born, we could return in another form to a planet in the universe since its a fact it has happened once (our current life)

The most compelling evidence are deathbed visions, and Ndes. Also, the Bible clearly states believers live on. I've studied the metaphysical aspects of life for over twenty years. There is an afterlife, but differing views about what it is. Beyond the stars and Universe is another dimension. This dimension is much like earth, but free of suffering and death. I follow what the Bible claims, and believe Gods promise for believers. " In my house there are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place, I will come for you again ". We have been here since the beginning of time, but forget. I've always felt there was more then this boring world has to offer. Now that all my loved ones are gone, I'm more eager to get out of it. Life isn't that interesting after a few decades.

My daughter, from ages 2 to 4, she would tell me she was light before she was born, that she was with the other ones who hadn't been born yet and that she chose me to be her mother. She quit saying all this around 4 years old and doesn't remember ever saying it. She said it of course in a very simple, childlike way, but it blew my mind. I've never been a spiritual person or even talked to her about stuff like that. God to me is the universe, is Everything.

      Qur'an 7:172-173
      (172) And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes, we have testified." [This] - lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware."
      (173) Or [lest] you say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others in worship] with Allah before, and we were but descendants after them. Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?"
Islam teaches that our souls were created first from Adam to the last person that will be born before the world is ended. We existed as souls before God Almighty chose our parents. To me it explains why you meet a person for the first time and he/ she looks familiar.
      Glory be to our Ceator

The situation is similar with me too.
As a person probably autistic, I have had a lifelong difficulty in making friends, and have very few I feel truly close to. My mother was the one person I had a closeness to, despite us being very different personalities, and she had all the qualities I attribute to a good mother, and losing her was, and is, unbelievably painful.
Four years ago, she died suddenly in her sleep one night aged 90, so it's not even as if I can't say I had a good long time in life with her. Yet that does not make the pain any less to realize we had a good innings, and this pain is still there, although perhaps less intense now.
I have always been preoccupied with the great spiritual questions of life and death, the meaning of life, and whether there's an afterlife; but I have never been able to fully believe in any specific faith or religion, but try to remain open-minded. Most conventional religious explanations of things are just not believable to me, at least, and often portray a God who is a cruel, vengeful monster who would damn people eternally simply for being unable to believe what is claimed to be the one true religion.
Since my mother died, that preoccupation with the big spiritual questions has kind of morphed into a preoccupation with the question of whether I will ever meet her again. I don't think a day passes when I don't think about this in one way or another. I would give almost anything to be able to be with her again.
So my thoughts are with you, and with anyone who seems unable to get over a bereavement. I can only say it's encouraging to at least some degree to learn there is evidence supporting an afterlife that is probably, I grant, short of conclusive proof, but at least evidence enough that hypothesizing an afterlife is a reasonable possibility.
So I do hold at least a faint hope that there is an afterlife, and we can continue living and growing in other realms, and we can meet once again those ones we've lost so painfully, who seem to mean everything to us.

      I’m sorry for your loss.
I hope that can be of some help to regain some hope for some you that have commented here.
First off all, I can from first hand experience guarantee that there's absolutely an afterlife and we family will all meet with our family and friends on the other sides of the veil. Although, there's nothing stopping you from establishing a personal communication and maybe also an personal relationship with some of those you’ve lost now while you're still om this 3D/4D plane.
I promise you that a incorporating a daily meditation into you routine is one of the best investments one can do to yourself, and it is also the method of establishing a connection to your love ones starts. Intent of establishing communication of some kind and then meditate.

I just lost my mother 18 days ago after a tragic fall that led to a rushed hip replacement that she didn't fully wake up from. She could move her lefr arm for a few days and somewhat open her eyes, but couldn't speak and we aren't certain if she knew we were there or not, though i believe she did abd tgat she could hear and understand us. It has been the most difficult time of my life. I've had my thoughts about spirituality and the afterlife like many others, but when someone close to you goes is when you really start pondering the possibilities and what's real. Tgank you for this video as it gas given me some hope. Be blessed all

Jonas, your videos are once again divine timing. My mother passed away last week and I've been dealing with the grieving process since then. I've always pondered these questions and I think that consciousness is so complicated that it doesn't make sense to try to make claims that "consciousness ceases after death" when we don't even fully understand what consciousness is. I think when people think of the afterlife, they have these stereotypical visions of heaven in the clouds, and not something infinitely more complicated. I've felt my mother's energy during certain moments since her passing and I was just looking at pictures of her before I found this video. Thank you for this message.

I have been pondering these things for the past 5 months or so, more in depth than I ever have in my life. I have identified as an atheist for years, and suddenly had a draw to these questions, where before I did not give too much time to it. I have seen various "evidence" for and against various sides, and struggle with the scientists who say they are absolutely certain there is not afterlife. But then I ponder how they are interpreting the question. What is meant by "afterlife"? Is it me existing as me now in a sort of final state? Is it me transcending into another life form? Is it me living in an infinite loop of the same big bang? I often think we are arguing what we think is the same concept, but are unknowingly arguing over different concepts. Anyway, this video is well made and your positive expression is comforting.

I’ve always been so fascinated by these elements of reality. I so deeply want to believe in a greater meaning as well as some form of preserved consciousness; I’ve lost many people dear to me in my life, particularly my mom last year. She and I had a pact that when she died that she would “haunt me”… it was a silly joke, but I really hoped it would somehow be true as she was my best friend and I couldn’t imagine life without her. Alas, I’ve not yet felt her presence since passing and feelings of Nihilism and skepticism tend to creep in for me.
I love that you create content which highlights these facets and possibilities of our existence - I very much want to believe. Thank you ✨💚✨

Hey friend, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. completely understand the feelings of nihilism and skepticism there. personally I believe that sensing the presence of loved ones who have passed can happen in unexpected and unforeseeable ways if we remain open to it. there may also be a benevolence to the lack of haunting. haha. but it's actually interesting to consider that if there is an afterlife, why can't we remember where we came from when we incarnate here? somehow there must be a wisdom to temporarily losing touch with the afterlife, if it does indeed exist, while we're in this human lifetime. anyways I feel for you and am sending good vibes your way. would be cool to connect further sometime I'm a fan of your content

I tell people I remember being born -, I remember traveling through a tunnel towards a light , than nothing than a memory of being hot in a one piece baby pajamas I could not speak yet but than nothing for a while than I remember being in front of a tv set I could hear sounds and suddenly the noise became voices and they were no longer jumbled I could understand them and I became aware of my surroundings and I was still a infant but than nothing again than I remember being on all fours on the floor and I was a wear again and remember pushing myself on the floor and the memories were so profound I just never forgotten them but I am in my 50s now and I still remember these very precise memories that started out as flashes and became more and more , but the crazy thing was I remember thinking to my self at each flash of memory I had as a infant I spoke English in my thoughts and I was a wear as I am now as an infant but I remember moving through a tunnel towards a light and I wondered what and where I was heading to . I never had a near death experience. I often thought of these thoughts I had and memories. I don't know what happened But I had a big attraction to helicopters and I always felt like If I ever got in one I would be able to fly one. one day I got into a UH-1 and I was 24 at the time and had never been in one or seen any pictures of the inside of one . I knew what all the dials and buttons did and I told the piolet as I pointed I asked if this button did this or that and he said yes I was right about it all. the feelings I had was deja vu ..Like I had been in one before and I knew everything about that chopper even its issues with the generator and the slop in the stick . I had a nightmare after that . I could not get it out of my head because I was freaked out so a couple days later I dreamed I was flying one with a bunch of guys I didn't know and we were in the army. I remember being scared to death because we were going to a fight and than we gat shot at from the ground and I remember being hit bat and I was fighting to keep the chopper in the air but it just would not and we crashed in a small river and I was fighting to get out of the chopper and it was sinking and no matter how hard I tried I could not get out of the seat and I herd someone yell there here and I saw Chinese guys wearing black close and grass hats shooting at us. I woke up freaking out the dream was so real too real I could not forget it, I remembered a name Robert Dennison Johnson, from my dream I visited the wall in DC I was spooked when I saw the name on the wall It had been the guy who I spoke to in the dream I knew his name like we were old friends or something like that even though I had never seen or herd the name before the dream I knew it and when I saw it I had to know more so I researched him , I was a man on a mission looking for Robert Johnson, I finally found out what happened his army records are public now and he was a chopper piolet that got shot down and crashed in the Bas river in south Vietnam. He flew a Uh-1 he was from Dallas TX. his body was not recovered 09/01/1967 I was born sept 69 . I don't know how its possible for me to know this man when I was born 2 years almost to the day after his death and I lived over a 1,000 miles from his home town . yet I dreamed I was flying I crashed into a river after taking fire and my friend Robert Johnson tried to save me, When I saw the photo it sent chills to my bones. I broke down and cried and I don't even know him, Now you tell me how that's even possible .. There has always been something in my mind that tells me we are all connected some how. I never had the balls to dig any further because I didn't want someone to think I'm a crazy weirdow but some how there is more to life and more to all this , I know there is , I also know there is a God out there thats the same god we all worship we all have different versions of him but the message is the same, compare all the religions teachings , even the ones that worship an elephant . you will find love they neighbor be good to others and much more the message is the same but we all fight over whos God is the real one , what if they all are the same one we just see him differently. see we are headed some where and I don't think we die , I think we just keep coming back somehow until the end when we realize we are becoming something bigger then are selves .each life time we become more than we are through our experiences and one day we become strong enough not to return here but we move on into the universe and we will travel through it and we wont even need a space ship , there it is life is life don't let the flesh stop you from being more than just this and when you leave the flesh and connect your consciousness to the others in this universe you will open the eye between the eyes and see further than there is now. remember my story try to relate with something you feel inside you and you will see you are the same and have either had an experience like mine or something else like mine that makes you understand where I'm coming from.

I think that we are trying to approach a lot of things from a logical perspective. I have read a lot of people in the comments say: if there was an afterlife, why don’t we remember the previous. Or mentioning some things just don’t make sense. I think maybe our minds are just not capable of making sense of it because they are not meant to, so no logic produced by our minds work. Like dogs cannot grasp high brow philosophical issues and we don’t expect it of them, due to the limitations they have, the same way we cannot find logical explanations due to our limitations.

Scientists can detect your brain activity during your dreams. They have made lucid dreamers go to sleep and told them to do a movement in their dream. You can detect the brain signals that makes you make the movement IRL. In the dream, there is the exact same signal made by the brain, as if you were really doing the movement. Except you have a hormone that prevents you from moving during your sleep. That’s why some people have sleep paralysis too.

Hello, I just stumbled upon your video and I found it quite interesting. As I was a bit younger I also thought the same way as you - how is it possible that all the people that had near death experiences and let us take Shamans from different world parts have the same kind of visions. But now it just came to me - what if our brain is universally conditioned to make the same kind of visions in certain conditions, because it still is just an organ with the generally same limitations for us as a species and the visions that can be experienced in this senses are just determined to look that way?
That could/would be an interesting contra argument.
But of course the fact that the people that had NDE described the exact conversations of their loved ones, the roofs of the hospitals, and generally other unexplainable things mentioned in the video are really wow!

    • @CosmicJonas
      @CosmicJonas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Hi Martina! Yes that is absolutely possible, and to some extent it's certainly true that we all share certain fundamental similarities in our brain.
It's interesting that NDE's happen under so many different circumstances though which would suggest differences in brain chemistry at the moment of the NDE. For example, sometimes it is sudden, sometimes gradual...sometimes in an accident or an overdose...in sleep or awake...in a feeling of fear or in a feeling of peace. This would all correlate with different brain states. Yet regardless of the circumstance, the similarities of NDEs are undeniable. Very interesting point to consider nonetheless. Thanks for the comment and glad you found the vid interesting!

I think when we die, our consciousness is transferred to a parallel universe where we will be reborn and live again, and start again from nothing. It's like you're dead (at least in this reality) but your consciousness stays alive and start taking over a new body in another universe, and thus you will be reborn as a human and live again. But can you be reborn in a different timepoint? Say I was born in 2004, if I die in this reality, can my consciousness move to a universe where I was born a little bit later or earlier?

Interestingly, the longer we live, the longer we are "incarcerated" in this flesh human body, so flesh-and-bone immortality may be the ultimate punishment as one is forever serving the LIFE sentence. What I find that is the most difficult to reconcile with what I said above is the fact that SUICIDE, seemingly a shortcut to get out of this incarcerated state, is almost universally deemed as a bad choice. So my attempt to solve this dilemma is that: we are here to be "incarcerated" in our flesh for a reason, we will eventually be liberated when our time is up, but we shall not break free by ourselves. Or maybe this explanation . . . suicidal thoughts are always negative external influences. So before this external negativity gets hold of us, our natural instinct is always to live through this life, to experience this "incarcerated" state to the fullest. When it comes to the reason why we shall experience such a finite/limited/incarcerated earthly life even though we have an immortal soul, the answer may be that death or a time limit teaches us an important lesson - it actually teaches/gives us meaning, teaches us the importance of cherishing whatever we have for the moment, and make changes or progress as soon as we still can. If we know we are immortal, we will not make any changes or progress, because we always have tomorrow, and this kind of infinite amount of forever existing possibility somehow makes everything IMpossible - we simply procrastinate forever and never get anything done.

  •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Thank you Jonas for the video. Once again great job you did :-) I am thinking though... I'm definitely leaning towards the possibility there is something other than utter darkness after one's life. As you pointed out in one of the evidences, some children reported very vivid memories of their previous lives. My thinking goes exactly like this - if there's an after life, there should be a previous life. However, remembering a previous life would imply that your ego must be somehow remembered. And if we're all one and at the point of death you merge your consciousness to the universal consciousness, how could one remember their egos/memories/physical life? Why would you remember that specific life and not your neighbour's life? :-)

    • @CosmicJonas
      @CosmicJonas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey Adam thanks for the comment! I completely follow your thinking, this is a great mystery. the "true" answers to these questions are likely beyond anything that we can understand from a human level, so I can only offer some guesses!
When we die and shed this physical body, that doesn't necessarily mean that we shed all of our "individuality." maybe it's true that we are multidimensional beings, who exist on many different levels at once. so we could have an "astral" or "energetic" or "etheric" body that continues on after this lifetime in a different plane of reality and somehow retains memory of it all. in theory it's also possible that on these other levels of being, we exist in a way that is somehow both unitive and individualized at the same time.
I do think it's true that we are spiritual beings which live through countless lifetimes, one after the next, with the same "essence" or soul continuing between incarnations. I also believe that oneness is the fundamental truth of life and existence. so i think that regardless of how many lifetimes we may live through as "individual" souls, our ultimate destination is infinite oneness

I believe we have a soul , even though , those of us living in our Three dimensional universe can’t comprehend where our soul goes to after death. Due to the fact, death is final on this “Three dimensional plane” the living never hear from our loved ones again. Essential it must mean our soul ( aka : Spirit) follows into 5 to maybe “ Sixth dimensional cosmic plane” of existence where all souls become one and is regenerated ( reincarnation) back into the three dimensional physical worldly universes we know of. That being said, very few of us have any recollection of our past physical existence; only an extreme few do remember during their young childhood. It’s frustrating to realize you can’t be with your loved ones after they die, due to the cosmic transition. It’s personally frustrating to me, as we loss our child Jenni at such a young age , and there’s no hope to see her again. I’m counting on the hope that our souls may communicate w/ each other during the transition into the “cosmic 6 dimensional plane” . I believe we are one after death and find it disheartening Professor Brian Cox doesn’t believe we have a soul. He such a brilliant man too, but I can only hope he’s wrong . There’s got to be more than this lifetime. If not, it’s a waste of space and our timeline is insignificant .

    Jonas,
You should explore empaths, who are people born as being energy sensitive.
I am an empath with an inquisitive and critical thinking mind.
As such I have explored this rather deeply, and have learned a few tricks along the way.
In this Paradigm there are three classifications of humans: 80% are everyone else, 20% are sensitive also called highly sensitive people, and a subset of the 20% are the empaths which is supposed to be 5% to 6% of the human population.
Dr Elaine Aaron is the world's foremost authority on sensitives, and Carl Jung coined the term sensitives.
All hire animals, essentially mammals and marsupials perhaps more, are sensitive within their animal classifications.
Being an empath or sensitive is an innate trait assigned at birth. You cannot gain it nor can you lose it, according to my research and experience with others.
Empath experiences: feeling energy from people and places, feeling physical pain from others, feeling or interacting with disembodied entities, telepathy ( somewhat rare), sometimes feeling a surge of energy when you hug someone (I believe this only happens between two empaths), and more.

Beautiful! That was a profound message. I love it! I am personally certain about the fact that our physical experience is just a tiny part of what is going on there 😊 but what I am so curious about whether we have some sort of individuality after death? What happens a long time after death? Are we self-conscious? I know our consciousness survives death of a physical body. But are we really aware of ourselves, of our own consciousness? Are maybe our consciousness dissolves into, you know, eternity and connects with the High Spirit? and there is no sense of individuality? What do you think? You rule with your videos Jonas! 👍🙏

      @CosmicJonas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Thanks my friend! really appreciate the feedback, and I share your curiosity about all of these questions. I wish I had answers, ha. but of course we can only speculate...
I believe that there potentially could be many different answers to the questions you posed, since we're all on our own unique journeys. it's possible that depending on how we live this current lifetime, it affects whatever happens to us after death. looking through the data of NDEs and research into reincarnation, it does seem that there may be some aspect of individuality that continues beyond this lifetime, which is really interesting. it could be true that we are spiritual beings which live through countless lifetimes, one after the next, with the same "essence" or soul continuing between incarnations. it could also be true that beyond this lifetime, we exist in a way that is both individual, and also unitive, beyond what we can comprehend as physical beings. ultimately, I do believe that oneness is at the very core of life and existence. so i think that regardless of how many lifetimes we may live through as "individual" souls, our ultimate destination is infinite oneness, like a drop of rain hitting the surface of the ocean. who knows!! i guess we will all find out someday :)

It is a stretch to call any of this evidence of an afterlife, but certainly suggests that consciousness is not dependent upon electrical activity in the brain. There is a rare condition wherein a person has only a sac filled with cerebrospinal fluid at the end of the spine and no brain. Most of them are severely mentally disabled, but a few are normal; in one case, the guy was a doctor, and didnt know that he had no brain until he was in his 50's and got a scan because of persistent headaches. But again, nothing here is evidence of life after death.

Just watch ghost hunters with jason and grant they're skeptics just like I am But still believe in ghosts The reason is because I had an experience My cousin died from a fentanyl Overdosage and since then i've been having Paranormal experiences I saw my cousin On the reflection Of my grandfather's Piano while he was given me piano lessons But that's just the tip of the iceberg of the life after death theory Most people think and most scientists think our universe has 3 dimensions. But that's false saw the impossible channel The guy from that channel said that Our universe Has 10 dimensions which can explain ghostly experiences. And these ghosts can interact With other ghosts That's residual Type haunting they don't know they're dead An intelligent haunt Can be an entity or an alien or demon or a lost soul. That forgot their way to another dimension and can interact with you by being attached to You or it can get a kick out of Scaring the out of you Sometimes these type of entities that Are intelligent hauntings can also interact with other ghosts Pretty insane to think about

When we have dreams the brain creates hallucinations, maybe death is just an infinite loop of unconscious, and the brain uses our memories to create a fantasy world.

Except for the verified things they see while they're clinically dead, or blind and then see? Our consciousness is separate from our bodies and brains. It's exiting! I think we're here to learn before moving up or down after death. Hopefully to become better and learn. I have difficulty thinking I chose this life but I think the point is to live spiritually and not materialistic.

That wouldn’t explain how people are able to see dead relatives they have never met before or seeing things that would be impossible to know after they have died.

    Bible answers
    Ecclesiastes 3:19,20
19 for there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals, they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies, and they all have but one life. So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile. 20 All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust.
    John 3:13
13 Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven, but the one who descended from heaven, the Son of man.
    John 5:28,29
28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
    Psalm 37:29
29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it!
    it's clear
    A. LETTER TO TIMOTHY 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus!
    Mattew 24:36
36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
    Mattew 23:8-10
8 But be not ye called teachers. for one is your Teacher, even Christ. 9 You are all brothers. And call no man father (Spiritual all leader etc.)upon the earth. for one is Father, which is in heaven.10 And be not ye called masters. for one is your Master, even Christ....
“YOU must not let people call you ‘leaders’-you have only one leader, Christ!” (Matthew 23:10, The New Testament) With these words, Jesus made it plain to his followers that no man on earth would be their leader. Their one Leader would be heavenly-Jesus Christ himself. Jesus holds this position by divine appointment..
Jehovah “raised him up from the dead and . . . made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body.”-Ephesians 1:20-23.
2 Since Christ is “head over all things” with regard to the Christian congregation, he exercises his authority over all that takes place within the congregation. Nothing that occurs within the congregation escapes his notice. He closely observes the spiritual condition of each group of Christians, or congregation. This is clearly apparent in the revelation given to the apostle John at the end of the first century C.E. To seven congregations, Jesus stated five times that he knew their deeds, their strong points, and their weaknesses, and he gave counsel and encouragement accordingly. (Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19; 3:1,8,15,17) There is every reason to believe that Christ was equally familiar with the spiritual condition of other congregations in Asia Minor, Palestine, Syria, Babylonia, Greece, Italy, and elsewhere. (Acts 1:8) What of today?

This video is way to uncritical of the source material. Also it boldly states that different people coming up with the same basic idea could not be a coincidence but the problem is. Yes, yes it can!. The idea of s mystical essence or soul is so basic that anyone can come up with it. It doesn't explain shit.
Also that dmt and near death deliver the same experience is no evidence for but against an afterlife. It might just proof that the brain has an easy time making things up in a jiffy. Considering that our brains should work all very similar it would not be an evidence of anything because again this would just mean that same thing does the same thing under the same circumstances.
Interestingly our brains don't all function the same. Mental illnesses aside depending on the size of the brain alone the connections are done very differently. Which would bolster the claim that this is evidence.
But here lies the problem with those researches. Either people want the afterlife so bad they claim everything as evidence or they want to disproof it so bad they want it so badly they will use everything as evidence against it. This subject is so unneutral and the data is so tough to interpret, so far removed from easily obtained data. That finding answers is impasible and the only thing you can have is faith.

Have pity on the scoffers and all who are still strangers to spiritual life. Do not be angry with them when they become sarcastic; for they are only to be pitied. They stand before the great Work of Creation, which offers us so much, like drunkards, like sick people. Like blind men who grope their way through life on earth without seeing all the splendor around them!
These poor people are confused, they are asleep; for how can anyone still affirm, for instance, that only what he can see exists? That where his eyes perceive nothing, there is no life? That with his physical death he himself also ceases to exist, all because in his blindness he could not, up till now, convince himself to the contrary through his eyes? Does he not already know from many things how very limited is the capacity of the eye? Does he not yet know that it is related to the capacity of his brain, which is bound to time and space? That because of this he cannot recognize with his eyes anything rising above time and space? Has this logical, intellectual reasoning not yet become clear to any of these scoffers?
Spiritual life, let us also call it the beyond, is after all merely something that stands completely above the earthly division of time and space, and therefore requires a similar nature in order to be recognized.
Yet our eyes do not even see all that can be classified within time and space. Think of a drop of water, which appears immaculately pure to every eye, but which on examination under the microscope is shown to contain millions of living organisms mercilessly fighting and destroying each other. Are there not sometimes bacteria in both water and air that have the power to destroy human bodies, and that are imperceptible to the human eye? But they become visible by means of powerful instruments. Who then will still dare to maintain that there is nothing new and as yet unknown to be seen when the power of these instruments is further increased? Increase their power a thousand fold, a million fold, and there will be no end to what may be seen, but ever new worlds which previously you could neither see nor feel, yet which nevertheless existed, will unfold before you.
Logical thinking also leads to the same conclusions about everything the sciences have hitherto been able to collect. There is a prospect of continuous progress and development, but never of an end.
What, then, is the beyond? The word confuses many. The beyond is simply all that cannot be perceived by earthly means. And earthly means are the eyes, the brain and all other parts of the body, also the instruments that help them to do their work still more accurately and precisely, and to extend its scope. Therefore one could say: the beyond embraces all that is beyond the perceptive capacity of our physical eyes. But there is no division between this world and the beyond! Nor any gulf! All is united, as is the whole of Creation. One power streams through this world and the beyond, everything lives and works from this one life stream, and is thus quite inseparably linked.
Thus the following becomes clear: If one part of it sickens the effect must be felt in the other part, as with a physical body. Through the attraction of homogeneous species, diseased matter from this other part will then flow across to the sick part, thus further aggravating the illness. But should such a disorder become incurable, it will absolutely be necessary forcibly to sever the ailing member, if the whole is not to suffer permanently. And the danger compels healthy reciprocal action which, through a wrong mindset is made more difficult and sometimes inconceivable.
For this reason change your attitude. There is no such thing as this world and the beyond, but only one united existence! The idea of a division has been invented solely by man, because he is unable to see everything, and imagines himself to be the center and focal point of the surroundings visible to him. Yet his sphere of action is greater. With the erroneous idea of a division, however, he forcibly limits himself, hinders his progress, and allows his imagination to run riot and conjure up grotesque pictures. Is it surprising then, if as a consequence many only smile incredulously, while others adopt an unwholesome form of worship that becomes servile or degenerates into fanaticism? Who can then still be astonished if some people develop a nervous fear, even terror and consternation? Away with all this! Why these torments?
Break down this barrier which human error sought to erect, but which never existed! Your past wrong attitude also gives you a false foundation, on which you vainly endeavor continually to build up the true belief, that is, inner conviction. You consequently encounter points, obstacles, which must make you waver and doubt, or compel you to tear down the whole structure, perhaps abandoning everything out of despair or resentment. The loss is then yours alone, because this is not progress for you, but standstill or retrogression. The road which in any case you must follow one day will only be lengthened thereby.

@@CosmicJonas @Cosmic Consciousness with Jonas Perhaps it ultimately depends what one connects to. i like to keep an open mind but for me right now
      Things like:
post clinical death experiences, Dmt, and the double slit experiment all mystify me and show me the magic in existence beyond conventional rationalism. They have also found merit and meaning in my life even though i have never taken Dmt or died. The double slit experiment is something even a simple lab can replicate and has been researched and repeated countless times. In my mind as a teenager it was the proof of the magic of consciousness and its role in recording nature like nothing else.
Things like parapsychology and anecdotal videos of flying objects would be in the pseudoscience category for me. As in they may hold truth but research into them is not scientifically substantial and methodical by modern standards and is often anecdotal. not that dmt and post mortum research is always either. Some may not be measurable by scientific standards, so the question becomes what do you consider as true evidence? For me inner Knowing from my experiences plays a factor and im skeptical too if science or any one human construct should have a monopoly on truth. i would hope to be surprised and proven wrong too, as i have been before. :)
