Upgrading Jo's Rivet Press with an Old Chopping Board - Easy Watch

  • This is very different to my usual videos. This one isn't a tutorial. It's a quick video of Adam turning an old chopping board into a platform for my hand press. He creates holes for each of my rivet dies and grommet dies so they're all easy to find and use. There's no talking or instructions, it's just an easy watch.

    I love everything about this video. The care he took to measure so that the holes for the dies are just perfect and that the rivet machine is centered. Such excellent craftsmanship. Love a crafty handy hubby.

    Brilliant, I’ve been searching for a video to do same for my new ‘Green Macine’ rivet press. Thank you 😊

    I just wanted you to know that I emailed the Kam Company and told them all about you and how Amazing you are and kind! Then I asked them if they would send you a Kam Press and dies... Maybe if a whole lot of people do they will! I know lots of people get free things, and from them. I think you deserve it way more than some people who have gotten stuff. So I can figured why not, I never hurts to ask, right? I just think you are a wonderful person Jo!

      Thanks so much Kera 🥰 that is so lovely of you!! I hear amazing things about Kam Snaps though I’ve not tried them myself yet. I really appreciate the gesture. Thank you so much 😁

    well done Adam, what a clever idea Jo, I can never find my dies, plus when i do, I cant tell which one is what size, maybe Adam can mark next to each hole what the sizes ir 9mm, 10mm etc are so you know right away, great video

    My boyfriend mounted mine on a cutting board but didn’t drill all these holes for the dies. That is so awesome!

      To be fair my husband originally just fitted it to a wooden base. It was only recently he came up with this idea 😆 I love it - I don’t lose the dies anymore

    I don't think I would like my press attached to the board (I tend to stick it inside bags to get that rivet in)
    but I think making a rivet holder by itself would be awesome. Many done like a door step with two or three steps depending on how many you have. He did an awesome job.

    I’m looking for a good rivit press. Can you tell me the make of yours and where did you buy it please?

    • @CountryCowDesigns
      @CountryCowDesigns  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We got it off wish.com a few years ago. It was cheap but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a bit too light and the quality isn’t the best. I keep thinking about replacing it.

      I generally get mine from Etsy. There’s a shop called the Trimming shop on there and their dies fit my press. But it depends on your particular press as there are different ones for different presses. A lot of people buy theirs from Kamsnaps too

      I’m sorry we don’t. We use pliers/wire cutters but there’s always the risk of damaging the bag.

      I think I’ve seen one that’s available in the USA but I can’t remember the supplier name. Possibly something like Rocky Mountain? I think LindsHandmade mentioned it on her TH-cam channel but it was a long time ago that I saw it so I can remember the details 🤦‍♀️
