JK's lower register is stunningly equisite!! His English pronunciation is stellar. I want more! I need more! Trivia...Big Hit sent young JK to train in hip-hop dancing in L.A. He came back so enthusiastic that he told Jimin he wanted to quit BTS and become a full time dancer. Luckily, Jimin talked him out of it! I came to BTS for Jungkook vocals but you clearly lay out why we see so little of JK's capabilities in BTS ensemble singing. His lower range is so powerful but you rarely hear it in BTS songs, instead, outside of the adlibs and harmonies, he is given the "pretty" bridging parts. It is almost formulaic: V to JK to Jimin or Jin and it may sound beautiful but it is musically stultifying. You analysis is perfect.

This man goes on livestreams and takes requests no warm up or anything and sit there singing no mic just into the camera and sounds exactly the same or way better and honestly I would always rather hear his voice no mic and no music. I appreciate all the boys for their individual talents but it’s so sad so many people don’t understand how special what he does is. Even when bts talks about him.. the way they talk about his singing, and performing is generally in awe and so proud.. like for suga, rm, jimin, Tae and hobi all to say that he’s the most talented person they’ve ever met .. and they say it often…. That’s a huge deal. Like when Tae said in front of all of the of them that jungkook has the best voice in Korea in his opinion and then Tae thanked jk for lending his voice to bts and said it was because of jungkook that they were here now…. That stuff blew my mind… nobody knows how hard he works, what he actually does for the music and for the group better than them lol that’s why I recommend that king of acapella jungkook video by Ida s. It gives the largest examples of his raw vocals no music with a mic and without a mic …. There’s so many different songs bc it’s not full songs for all of them… but she’s really chosen such a good variety…. I’ve never seen anyone watch that and not be blown away … I think Ida also has “ jungkooks amazing vocals” that’s newer and really good too… but yeh so hopefully he checks these out and people really start to see what we already know jungkook can do…. I’m so proud of him and he seems more confident lately…. So hopefully we get his mixtape sooner than later 😂

I heared this song a year ago. I was a Directioner and my bias was Harry Styles, but when they disbanded I don't follow them like how I follow about BTS. When I listened to this song for me it's okay, and Harry's voice is always beautiful. But when it's JK the song went like more soulful or JK's voice and styles have something that will make you listen to it again and again.
Whenever he sings in English, I can tell how much his English has improved... He doesn't have a stronger accent at all, at least not compared to the other members. Not saying that it's wrong to have one but adapting to a second language it's not easy and I'm proud of him for that 😊

The way Jk sings the song, it gives a more emotional feeling as if someone he still loves is walking further and further away, resulting to his voice sounding emotionally desperate for the person who’s gradually moving further away from him, which is very clearly expressed in his high note, you can definitely hear the amount of emotion and effort he put into the note :)

Jungkook is indeed a master vocalist! He's so amazing and has so many aspects to him as an artist and musician. He constantly outdones himself, and this cover is just so beautiful he really made it his own in a way, he paints pictures with his beautiful unique vocal tone. You can watch "Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS" by Ida S. He did all the harmonies himself, he does a lot of their vocal guides, background vocals, is credited on over 140 songs for chorus :) so do watch it when you can! And your kitten is adorable!

Jungkook’s voice is simply AMAZING
Best Song of the year! Best Cover of the year! I have listened to this song through many reactors. Everyone's response.... "WOW". The phrase with the high note "Blew me away!" JK's lower register is stunningly equisite!! His English pronunciation is stellar. I want more! I need more! Trivia...Big Hit sent young JK to train in hip-hop dancing in L.A. He came back so enthusiastic that he told Jimin he wanted to quit BTS and become a full time dancer. Luckily, Jimin talked him out of it! JK said in an interview he had NO idea that he would become the main lead vocalist. He had no confidence in his voice. And now....we are here! JK the best male soloist in the world!
The breathy technique is jungkooks bread and butter… and I was surprised to see how many people thought the rasp in his voice was something new or whatever and that his voice is deeper here when really all the earlier bts songs his voice is exactly like this for the most part lol the rasp and tone is closer to his natural voice than he really does in bts in the last few years bc the keys of their songs are usually higher for jin and jimin and bc v is the baritone than jk is the bridge between the high and low…. And people under appreciate his range and truly have no clue what he can do. I’m so proud of him and that ppl are seeing some of what he can do that they didn’t know 💜

I came to BTS for Jungkook vocals but you clearly lay out why we see so little of JK's capabilities in BTS ensemble singing. His lower range is so powerful but you rarely hear it in BTS songs, instead, outside of the adlibs and harmonies, he is given the "pretty" bridging parts. It is almost formulaic: V to JK to Jimin or Jin and it may sound beautiful but it is musically stultifying. You analysis is perfect.
@@reginalanford3242 yeh thanks :) glad someone else understands what I mean lol all the vocalists have great voices and good technique… but jungkook even being loved as much as he is really is still so underrated . This man goes on livestreams and takes requests no warm up or anything and sit there singing no mic just into the camera and sounds exactly the same or way better and honestly I would always rather hear his voice no mic and no music. I’ve noticed that people seem to judge “best” singers by singing high notes or very low notes lol on social media especially.. when that’s not exactly what makes someone a better singer… but especially high notes it’s like ppl hear a high note and from then on that’s the best singer… I don’t understand that. Beautiful high notes and gorgeous low notes absolutely can be so so impressive… but that’s just such a basic or simple way to observe I guess. Like jungkook is a master of vocals and especially acapella you can hear how easily he shifts through voices and back again and where he adds vocal color and textures all in one song is insane…. And that’s why I always recommended that king of acapella video by Ida s bc it gives a ton of examples of how many different things he’s doing with his voice that ppl will think it’s autotuned or engineered in the track… but it’s exactly how he sounds raw. I’ve never heard someone have such stability in such a wide range especially while dancing and being the “center” for bts is wild. I appreciate all the boys for their individual talents but it’s so sad so many people don’t understand how special what he does is. Even when bts talks about him.. the way they talk about his singing, and performing is generally in awe and so proud.. like for suga, rm, jimin, Tae and hobi all to say that he’s the most talented person they’ve ever met .. and they say it often…. That’s a huge deal. Like when Tae said in front of all of the of them that jungkook has the best voice in Korea in his opinion and then Tae thanked jk for lending his voice to bts and said it was because of jungkook that they were here now…. That stuff blew my mind… nobody knows how hard he works, what he actually does for the music and for the group better than them lol that’s why I recommend that king of acapella jungkook video by Ida s. It gives the largest examples of his raw vocals no music with a mic and without a mic …. There’s so many different songs bc it’s not full songs for all of them… but she’s really chosen such a good variety…. I’ve never seen anyone watch that and not be blown away … I think Ida also has “ jungkooks amazing vocals” that’s newer and really good too… but yeh so hopefully he checks these out and people really start to see what we already know jungkook can do…. I’m so proud of him and he seems more confident lately…. So hopefully we get his mixtape sooner than later 😂
I just loved your analysis & how perfectly you described by saying that "JK is the bridge between high & low", that's exactly true, he can pull both darker & lighter tone but in most of recent BTS songs he has to use his higher range mostly bcz of the higher key of their songs

I heared this song a year ago. I was a Directioner and my bias was Harry Styles, but when they disbanded I don't follow them like how I follow about BTS. When I listened to this song for me it's okay, and Harry's voice is always beautiful. But when it's JK the song went like more soulful or JK's voice and styles have something that will make you listen to it again and again.

Whenever he sings in English, I can tell how much his English has improved... He doesn't have a stronger accent at all, at least not compared to the other members. Not saying that it's wrong to have one but adapting to a second language it's not easy and I'm proud of him for that 😊

The way Jk sings the song, it gives a more emotional feeling as if someone he still loves is walking further and further away, resulting to his voice sounding emotionally desperate for the person who’s gradually moving further away from him, which is very clearly expressed in his high note, you can definitely hear the amount of emotion and effort he put into the note :)

Great performance and review! I'm also a musician, and what I love about Jungkook is the purity in his voice. I would compare it to the purity in Alison Krauss's voice. People who've never listened to BTS or even Jungkook alone are really missing out on his amazing vocals. I love him with BTS, but he and the other 6 are so talented they could each have their separate careers at any time if they chose to do so. Great performers!!!

Jungkook is indeed a master vocalist! He's so amazing and has so many aspects to him as an artist and musician. He constantly outdones himself, and this cover is just so beautiful he really made it his own in a way, he paints pictures with his beautiful unique vocal tone. You can watch "Jungkook the main vocalist of BTS" by Ida S. He did all the harmonies himself, he does a lot of their vocal guides, background vocals, is credited on over 140 songs for chorus :) so do watch it when you can! And your kitten is adorable!
