Ok, so, I have just bought one (camera, like the one in the video)... It's a pretty good camera, no problems with it (so far) but I gotta say, this camera's Achile's heel (and it is a huge disadvantage) is the exclusive gluing to the winshield option... man, it is just stupid.
There are a few dash cams that come with both options: the suction cup and the 3M tape. For example this one: amzn.to/3yzSmGW and this one here: amzn.to/3LZb5i6
@@bryn6844 Unfortunately I can't do it, because I have to change the dash cams every few weeks. This is why I can not make the cable disappear, otherwise it would be difficult to get back out. Simply route it over your mirror, and push it with the plastic tool behind the trim.
Thank you for the amazing video. I would like to ask a question: Is there an emergency button to save and lock the video while driving? Please help me with this as I really need this feature. Thank you!
I don’t think there’s a button, but the dash cam has a GPS sensor and you can adjust the sensitivity of it. It would recognize every shock the car experiences and it would automatically lock the captured video so that it can’t be overwritten by accident
Thank you for your response. I believe you are referring to the G-sensor. Honestly, its performance is very poor and completely inaccurate. I set the G-sensor sensitivity to "high" and tested it yesterday by sudden braking. However, 10 seconds after finishing the brake, it started the emergency recording. Unfortunately, when I watched the emergency video, I was surprised that it didn’t record the moment of the sudden braking. The emergency clip recorded by the camera was 10 seconds ahead of the actual emergency event!
Oh, this is not good. This would be a reason to sell the dash cam and to get one that is more reliable in this category. I am very happy with this one: amzn.to/49TTUcY When it comes to safety-recordings it has a very sensitive G sensor, never missed a moment.
Yes., you can turn it inward. Bit the dynamic range is not great, because it is not made to be a cabin cam. I would rather look into Vantrue N2 Pro amzn.to/44eXta1 or Azdome M550 Pro amzn.to/3J0s6ae or M560 amzn.to/3pEgYK6
I notice in your video at 4:35 that your cabin camera is displaying a mirror image. I have just bought and installed my own M550 Pro and it is doing the same thing. Is there any way short of buying a replacement Azdome dash cam to achieve the proper cabin camera image (vice this annoying mirror image)? Having spent a bundle to buy the M550 Pro and paying for a professional installation, I'd really prefer a fix to what I have rather than buy a replacement dash cam. I am surprised your video does not alert your viewers to this annoying defect.
I showed the original footage out of the camera. It the orientation bothers you, after downloading you can flip the footage easily in every video editing software.
@@dashcaminfo Thanks. Took a little time and chat line discussion to get oriented on this new application from DaVinci Resolve (i.e., Movavi 2025 Video Editor). Yes it works. And the free version allows the you to flip a video of up to 60 seconds in length. For longer videos you'd have to subscribe for a paid version. Whether free or a paid version, the flipped video will now show the annotated data appearing along the bottom of the screen backwards. Acceptable if you're good at reading mirror image text (i.e., backward text). Appreciate your efforts and the efforts of others who post TH-cam videos providing guidance on dash cam buying and operation. I have spent hours watching the various offerings.
Good camera , but G-sensors sucks, its hard to trigger it when it set to detect collision detection. If you are really focused on collision detection parking mode not chose this camera. Other functions just works as expected.
You can simply take off the dash cam without the need of removing the mount from the windshield. You can slide the dashcam out, sideways and re-insert it, if you like
Good morning, I have dash cams on my windshield for only 2 - 4 weeks, because after that I am testing a different one. So if night vision is important to you than you need a dashcam like this one: amzn.to/4awfljx with a Starvis 2 sensor. Or this one: amzn.to/3VXb1pF I still have the Viofo A139 Pro here, if you want to buy it from me I can ship it to you for $220. Let me know
@@dashcaminfo I see. I've just bought the homologue of that micro sd, but from SanDisk... Azdome says in their dash cam manual that cam will only work properly with microSD cards made by them - let's hope they are wrong.🙂

I would buy at least a 128 GB card, like this one: amzn.to/3zEr3LL 3 min (front and rear) are already 640 MB, in other words a 64GB card would give you only 100 minutes recording time before the footage gets overwritten
The main difference is that it supports a 5GHz network, for faster download of the videos and you can use Micro SD cards with up to 256GB. The image quality is pretty much the same as the old version offered.

Great video, I assume I can go dual camera and have a 4k main cam and 1080p cabin cam, with the rear cam disconnected?
You are correct, dual channel is 4K front and 1080p rear
it will not support 4K until you disconnect the cabin camera.
How do you hide the messy cables? They look ugly
There’s a little tool to push them right behind the trim, so they completely disappear

What does in mean on the front window mount where is says open--close? Open or close what?
You can simply take off the dash cam without the need of removing the mount from the windshield. You can slide the dashcam out, sideways and re-insert it, if you like
What is the hardwiring for and do you have to buy it separately?
Wonderful video. I have a question. Is it possible to keep the shining screen switched off during driving ?
Yes, you can set the screensaver time, after how many min you want it to be turned off
Great review thank you, i have just ordered one, good to know without the cabin cam i can get 4k front camara
And if you really need a cabin cam, it's a simple plug and play. Good to have options.
Great video, thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to leave me a nice comment, much appreciated.
Does the rear cam have night vision like the cabin camera?
They don't have an IR mode, only the cabin cam does.
Can the camera also record when the car isn't turned on? If yes, how?
They all have some small backup batteries built in
what software do you use to combine the dash cam segments (interior and exterior into one video)

Do you have install the rear camera or can I just use front and in car cam

Can you use with only 2 channels? Front and inside? Because i have a sprinter and it's not possible to put dashcam behind

Hi, good afternoon. Which cam is better for an 18 wheeler truck?
You can't go wrong with this one: amzn.to/4auhyfX
The license plates seem hard to read even in 4k
As if it was not true 4K, only stretched out 1080p
Can I connect camera with PC to download files? How?
You would either download the footage through the mobile app to your phone or you would remove the Micro SD card and plug it in your PC
How about the gps?? Can you please elaborate, or maybe do you have another video about its gps
The gps is built in into the dash cam mount, very practical
Which camera is better the M550 or M550 PRO?
I prefer the image quality from the M550 or the M550 Max over the Pro
Why do you have the use the adhesives?
You don't. I only use them because I change dash cams every few weeks, so it is easier to remove each dash cam from my tinted windshield.
is it still working until now?
is the plate numbers in the footage are readable mostly in night drive?

How do I switch it to 4K? I’m not seeing 4K I only see 2K and 1080 P.
