    I have a Hoist V2 workout 🏋️‍♀️ gym and I love it! Bought it several years ago from Chicago Home Fitness. A great piece of equipment! Has performed perfectly for many years!

    Seems like a great space saver.

    Great machine but this is part of the older Hoist series and the leg press attachment that is compatible with this has been discontinued.

    @Dr Gene James hi Dr. Is the V2 standing leg curl, uncomfortable with heavier weights due to not having anything to brace to?

      @drgenejames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point! It’s not the best but if you had a bench nearby you can brace yourself with the bench.

    Would you be able to tell me the height of the machine. Im building a home gym in my sunroom and the ceiling is only 85" high. I found a deal on one of these on marketplace but I'm not sure if it'll fit. Tia

      48" W x 84" H x 83" D

    Is the weight stack heavy enough to really do heavy lat pulldowns or is the whole stack not really heavy enough?

    • @drgenejames
      @drgenejames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That depends on how strong you are. I think a 200 pound weight stack should be challenging enough if you’re doing 5 sets of 12 to 15 reps.

    Do you know how much weight it is per number on this machine?

    What's your opinion or preference between the Hoist V2 and Lifestyle/Parabody CM3?

    • @drgenejames
      @drgenejames  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are nice gyms but the hoist gym is a better brand. They’re very similar.

      @@drgenejames Thank you. That was my impression as well without physically seeing the gyms. I appreciate your opinion.

    Why is bench so difficult on this oml

    • @drgenejames
      @drgenejames  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think it’s difficult. What’s happening?

    • @atlanticcity2006
      @atlanticcity2006 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drgenejames the machine works fine, but the bench press number and weights are lower compared to a barbell free weight press. So if I would do a normal barbell weight on this it would be more difficult maybe because of ROM.

    • @atlanticcity2006
      @atlanticcity2006 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally use the 5th settting with 5 pounds of weight on top. 55 lb would be a weak bench press weight on a barbell

      @@atlanticcity2006 the basic point is progressive overload. It does not matter what the weight plate says. The idea is that you become progressively stronger and force the body to adapt. That’s how Fitness is obtained.

      @@drgenejames true and also I read up on this and it said cable presses are way harder than with free weight
