Castlevania is especially brutal, in that it doesn't give you a safe-ish opportunity to learn how your new abilities function. Even as a child, it felt unfair that figuring out Grants abilities and limitations (in particular) always results in numerous deaths.
The Clock Tower descent is designed as a playground and tutorial for Grants climbing mechanics. If you use him properly, it is a really fast and fun area and you only ever need use stairs to transition screens. You can climb over and under several walls and free fall through most of the level.
It’s behind you hidden in the wall before fighting the cursed Bunny type creature. If you stand still as soon as you see it, they will always jump next to you can kill them easily.
I like Syfa's ability to freeze enemies. Some stages absolutely demand her Freeze, or Grants wall climbing. There's also Alucard, the least useful IMHO. I've beaten the game with all three. Try to get most of the candles, and stick with one weapon, axe or boomerang, for the 2s and 3s which let you use more at once. Next time don't go clock tower if you don't want Grant. BTW Netflix Castlevania series is Epic.
I've never really cared much for Castlevania 3, and the excessively long levels are the primary reason why. Then again, I like Castlevania 2, so feel free to disregard my opinion.
Would be nice if your game audio was a little louder, Castlevania has some spicy tunes in it. Just a personal wish anyhow. Will be waiting for part 2 :) Also people down classic RE games, mostly for the fixed camera, but I never minded fixed camera. A good dev always made it fit well in a game, Tank controls can fucking ROT though, fuck them. They wouldnt be so bad with a *sense of urgency* but every game with them your char's acting like its a Bahama vacation with no worries.

Honestly, I think quite a few people watch you mainly for mario. I on the other hand, greatly enjoy you playing other games such as this.
