Wow...I'm at a loss for words. I hit play and instantly became glued to this album front to back, didn't skip anywhere at any time. Hate Eternal, what have you done? Everything that equals death metal masterpiece is what you guys did, what a work of art!!! My favorite album of the year, love you guys👍👍👍
about the artwork, from the author Eliran Kantor Den: "all I can say is that it's inspired by Erik's insight to his lyrics. But the plot does not appear directly in any of the songs - the character is using the arrows shot at him as a weapon against the vultures who came to finish the job."
The first 3 singles released gave me high hopes for the album, but the other songs on the album surpass them by leaps and bounds. The last 4 songs are absolutely amazing. GREAT ALBUM!
Lmao wait what the f u c k are you talking about? Ik Rutan used to play for them but Hate Eternal has a totally different sound and that includes the influence of Doug Cerrito where he helped to forge the sound on the first album stfu.

jhonidrums They’ve had a couple of straight burner albums that didn’t let up the gas, I’m kind of glad that Erik is going for the best of all approach with this record and the last one.
the 300 bpm double bass on For Whom We Have Lost are all single strokes he talks about it in an interview, to this day the fastest and most musical double bass ive heard performed on an album. Just absolute insanity. Hannes is truly the master of metal drums.
Saw these guys for the first time last night; absolutely incredible performance. More power and energy from a 3 piece than you get from most 5 piece bands. Truly remarkable.
Saw ruton with corpse last night in nyc. Dude crushed it. No drop off from pat O'Brien. In fact he had a better presence than pat. Super high energy. Could tell he was pumped to be playing with corpse
Not one song has a sense of monotonous noise. Every note adds depth. Listening for like the tenth time, Dark age of Ruin's guitar tone makes me go crazy.
Wow, just wow. In a year of incredibly disappointing releases, this is absolutely incredible. Best Hate Eternal has ever sounded. Buying both CD and vinyl, 12/10 guys.
Fuckin' amazing album, absolute MASTERPIECE!!! Rutan's solo work incredible, those riffs tear off my face!!! Erik Rutan never let us be disappointed! Greetings from Orlando!!!
Hate Eternal feels to me like it's one of the only bands that haven't lost their edge over the years. It feels just as brutal today as it sounded when I first heard I Monarch. A lot of bands I like changed their styles, with recent examples from Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir and while I won't say that they're bad, they definitely sound different now and I don't enjoy them as much anymore. Even Morbid Angel's comeback felt underwhelming to be honest. At the same time Hate Eternal, somehow, keeps getting better and more brutal. This album reached new heights, Rutan's growls are on point and the drums feel better than ever; they've always had great drummers, my favorite was probably Derek Roddy, but now with Grossmann on drums it sounds even better. Absolute beast album 9.5/10.
SO UNDERRATED. Best deathmetal album for the last few years. Its raw and unadulterated in brutalality. Vengeance Striketh and Nothingness of Being will not leave my mind's space.
The title track beats anything I've heard in a while. This band always brings out the elitist metal head in me and for that I am grateful. Hail Hate Eternal!
My friend just told me about this album. Big ups! This is huge and I can't believe I'm just now finding out about it!!!! Got it in the shopping cart now! Cheers!!!
tbh I've slowly come to believe that he's the ultimate drummer for extreme metal, and this doesn't dissuade that opinion. He's also probably the busiest metal musician I can think of in 2018, given that there are 3 albums that have released so far this year with him handling the drum work, along with tours with Alkaloid and Hate Eternal.
As far as busy drummers go, Look up Kevin Paradis. He's one of my favorite modern drummers, and he gets hired by bands all over the world to do studio work for them.
I wonder how it will be with John Longstreth, I remember seeing him live with Origin a few years back and he wasn't super tight at that particular show... But Origin is Origin, y'know, and he's welcome in HE in my book!
I love "King Of All Kings" and this last album sounds on the production better than "King Of All Kings" but I like more on drums Jade Simonetto in "Fury & Flames", more technical the drums. In "Upon Desolate Sands" Hannes Grossman play the drums very nice, but the most are blast beats and more blast beats. Is a good drummer but I prefer to Derek Roddy and Jade Simonetto on the albums who I have named. Another possibility is that the drums on this last album were bad recorded. Is like if only in the recording the blast beats were recorded good, but sounds like the cymbals are only one, because sounds equal all the cymbals. The production on this album is the best of Hate Eternal albums, but for me on the cymbals I believe that was bad produced (not recorded). I don't know if you knows what I say about the sound of the cymbals, because seems like if sounds all of them like one only cymbal. And something that always makes this band is play with various cymbals and for me in this album sounds as only one. I don't know if you understand what I try to say...
This makes me giggle then shit myself. Every second of this is absolutely destructive and i fucking love it. This stands up to anything in the past 20 years easily.... And gives it a middle finger.
I like the shorter albums for this sort of music, 35-40min - like old Slayer. Nothing wrong with longer albums though, I find the intense onslaught results in ear fatigue/boredom when you're getting to the hour mark. This along with previous HE albums is excellent.
Damn Guys Bravo. The riffs are memorable and songs are well constructed end played honestly and powerful, Leads rule. Every thing I wanted from H.E. Great Album!!!!!
Dammit. Just stop it Seasons of Mist. You just have to keep releasing these great albums from awesome bands that I just cannot not add to my collection. Im sure im helping to put some ones kid through college with my addiction. What a great year for metal.

I said no then he pulled out the Alas/ Hate Eternal CD and I was impressed, Then I picked up Conquering the Throne and I was hooked ever since. 🤘💀🤘
Yep I was a diehard Eric Rutan fan after that album . I saw Hate Eternal open for Cannibal Corpse in 2000 and knew right away they were a special band and Eric was one of the very best guitarist in death metal by far .
Great album. Has a nice old school death metal feel to it. Very well done...I agree the solos are top notch. Thanx for upload....buying a hardcopy for my commute to hell and back!
Blown away. It's more melodic and...ummmm...even a little catchy here and there. Well, catchy and melodic for them. Probably my favorite album by them. Clearer, but not less brutal. Amazing.
I met Eric in person at a gig in 2006. He was selling shirts and apparel before the show and gave me a HE sticker.
A fantastic person.
