Thanks, and I don’t mind admitting I agree with you. It’s not my favorite design. I really designed it for the purpose of challenging myself with all those curves and for the sake of the @rocklerbentwoodchallenge contest.
Some people in the comments don’t appreciate a great piece of art. This is a Masterpiece that also has practicality. I absolutely love it! Btw love how you made the shelves with the open rounded corners. Makes it easy to clean if something is spilled in it as well as adding to the round design. Great eye!
Gorgeous! But my brain hurts from trying to follow how you figured out how to make your jigs! I’m so completely impressed. And I love the time lapse of the morning sun coming into the workshop. Not only a wonderful piece of woodworking, but nicely put together video. 👍👍
This is a stunning work of art, and I don't just mean the piece but the video as well. I enjoy following numerous woodworkers on TH-cam, but your pieces and videos stand above the rest. Keep up the great work.
Another home run Blake! You definitely have an artistic ability that equals your technical aptitude. I also really dig your cinematography. I said it in your last video I'll say it again, you truly inspire me to want to get out in the shop and create something. Thanks.
Hi Blake, hope you're all well. I've just discovered your "Craft will never die" podcasts which I'm loving. It seems that the last one was way back in January and wondering if this has now ceased. I've only listened to 3 episodes so far but have found myself really laughing out loud in the workshop. Very funny and would love to see it continue (was going to support on Patreon if it's still alive).
I dug the Kubrick zoom on the maple strips. Stoked to try bent wood someday. Also great to see another mountaineer woodworker. I climb up here in the cascades all the time. Have my eye on the mountaineers route up Whitney someday.
Absolutely love everything about the design! The style, colors, shape! It's definitely a masterpiece in my book! On top of that, it was a joy to watch you create- so thank you for sharing!
Really love your work. This was delicate in appearance but once the trays were in, rock solid. The curved veneer trays are reminiscent of the sort of thing I'd see growing up in the 60s. Big thanks from England.
The next time you laminate wood strips you should consider using slow cure epoxy, that will give you 1 hour or so of working time before it sets up too much to work with.
It's not just the build that is fantastic. The video is also really great. Nice angles, keeping it interesting without lots of b-roll. Great light and audio. You will blast past 100k in no time with this kind of content. May I ask how many cameras you use? Cheers, mate.
Wow! WOW! Recently found your videos, utterly hooked on the craftsmanship, camera work, and your completely soothing voice. Also, that NSFW notice literally made me lol. Great work! Sharing on social media.
Beautiful job, and I have a suggestion though, if the right edges of the trays were rounded too, that would fit more to the overall schema and would look nicer. Also for safety reasons
Didn't take me long to subscribe ( a couple of videos). Really nice work. I think I'd have to close in the corners with some maple or something though.
Can't compliment! Observe the workshop + Take a look at your tools + tools: Enough to understand your professional level. You are very good ! Many thanks for expanding my horizons ....
Bonjour de la France. Bravo, un magnifique travail. Avec quoi filmez vous vos réalisations? Je suis admiratif devant votre travail, je me sens tout petit à côté de vous. Un grand merci
6:34 Seems like what you need here is an attachment to connect the vise handles with a drill so you could at least torque 'em up ASAP when yer running against drying times like that. Invent one.
Espectacular ,una mesita divina de la muerte, creo que no vi nunca un mueble ,con la madera tan retorcida y tan original,el diseño elevado a la máxima potencia,un saludo cordial y por supuesto un gran like desde Narón, Galicia ( España)
I didn't like the design in specific .. But man i raise the hat for you.. Just for the amount of details and love that you gave in order to make this happen because you believed on the idea .. I do appreciate your hard work. you are an amazing woodworker and i really enjoyed every single moment of this video.. Keep it up bro 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hello Blake, Thanks again for a great video. I've so many questions. Did you train as a cabinet maker? I can't imagine you making money, your work is so detailed! I also wonder if your are plagued with people asking you to make or fix ordinary stuff. It was nice to see the real boss of the shop. Apologies for being so nosey. Kindest regards Terry
Beautiful work! The individual jigs you built for seemingly innocuous cuts really show at the end. Do you get to recycle the MDF after or are those jigs a ‘one and done’?
Just discovered your channel and each project is better than the last one. A question about the vacuum machine: once it removes all the air, it needs to keep working until the glue is dry or the machine can "hold" the pressure by itself?
Thank you! Yes, once it is up to the full vacuum, it automatically senses a pressure increase and kicks in... just like an air compressor but in reverse.
So beautiful! And perfectly crafted! I wonder why I had to re-subscribe to your channel, though. Does this happen on TH-cam that subscriptions get somehow cancelled automagically? Haven’t heard about it before...
Although I don't like the design personally, this is a sick piece of craftsmanship! Absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks, and I don’t mind admitting I agree with you. It’s not my favorite design. I really designed it for the purpose of challenging myself with all those curves and for the sake of the @rocklerbentwoodchallenge contest.
@@weberwoodshop got it. Looking at the challenge, you totally nailed it 👍

Not really my personal design aesthetic but holy mother it’s a stunning display of craftsmanship. Thanks for showing us the process

I'd totally buy this if I could, I'd give hella money for it. So unique and beautiful. Your work is amazing 😮

Thanks! I had to drop some things to make more time for actual woodworking.
Love it. Love the curves, colour, everything!
I found your channel and immediately hooked! I really have to go to sleep, I already watched 7 video’s 🫣😅😂
You are á briljant artist 👌🏾👏❤️🔥
Wow! The creativity with just the jigs and fixtures alone, not to mention the end result. Bravo sir 👏👏👏
I dug the Kubrick zoom on the maple strips. Stoked to try bent wood someday. Also great to see another mountaineer woodworker. I climb up here in the cascades all the time. Have my eye on the mountaineers route up Whitney someday.
Thank you! I like playing around with camera tricks like that glad you noticed.

Really love your work. This was delicate in appearance but once the trays were in, rock solid. The curved veneer trays are reminiscent of the sort of thing I'd see growing up in the 60s. Big thanks from England.

Next time you need to remove hotglue, try nail polish remover. It comes right off.

Thank you, it’s a hobby and I make a little money from the content creation (TH-cam, Patreon etc.) I’m self-taught.
Awesome piece. Can't really see how you could have done the half-laps any differently even if you'd planned the profile from the beginning.
Thank you!
Beautiful work! The individual jigs you built for seemingly innocuous cuts really show at the end. Do you get to recycle the MDF after or are those jigs a ‘one and done’?
Thanks! Usually one and done.
Изящно! Сам процесс изготовления - Совершенство столярного Мастерства!
Very inspiring! Greetings from Vienna, Austria, the Thonet city!
Thank you!
I love this. Very interesting. Other than walnut what other wood did you use?
I believe he said the lighter wood was maple
