First time I heard this song I was about 8 yrs old and it was at my Brother's graduation. I cried like a baby. This was a wonderful performance. Thank you
Your not alone I love the whole song. I played this last year at commencements for my high school and the 2019 graduating class as I was in symphony band and that's what we did we played at every graduation ceremony but as new people come and others graduate it changes. Now that I'm a senior this is amazing to hear
Great take on Sir Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" March No. 1 "Land of Hope and Glory" in honor of the 2020 grads. Congrats to the Grads! Semper Fi, Marine Bandmates! OOH-RAH!
thats impressive how they are standing so still

I swear I love playing it for all the ones graduating high school and I look forward when it is finally my time to be greeted by such a lovely piece.
Most people only know the part at 1:23, but the rest of this is worth listening to as well.

For everyone who didn’t get to play this at graduation
Yes
One of my college music theory teachers played in this band during Reagan's administration.
For some reason the US Army Concert Band version is on the Swiss Army Band auto-generated channel.
Play at .75 for the way it normally is played/sounds.
It took me two minutes to realize it was a picture....
I performed this exactly once for a university commencement, but I greatly prefer it to the usual "Land of Hope and Glory" by itself.
So good!
SEMPER FI‼️🍻

Who is the arranger?
I have the tuba part for this arrangement, and it does not say. My best Guess is that either Elgar himself arranged it, or the arranger is anonymous.
Can someone tell me which arrangement this is?
