I think maybe break up the long form into shorter subject related posts? Historical material could be long form, because of the depth of subject. Reviews could be medium time 15-20 minutes. Pedals - 7-10 mins.
Great idea to do this format - I hope it does well, because I'd love to see more of this. I think the Antigua is hideous, but I am glad that Fender is still trying new things. If people love it, they love it. Better to take risks than to just play it safe.
You CANNOT imagine the number of spirits crushed if you don't make this a regular. As for topics: whatever led you to these, trust those instincts - as long as Nathaniel's there. Oh, and the "Dan/iels"; wth???
Hands down the nicest new epiphone model is the emperor swingster deluxe. It has no business being as good as it is, and it’s cool seeing the early versions mentioned in a video.
Great idea and you guys pulled it off. I hope you continue with the show. How about archtops for one episode. Both electric and acoustic. Also maybe Fender Blackface amp. They seem to the most desired amps now. Or maybe the tonal differences between blackface, brown, blonde and tweed Fenders
Hi, loved the show and will continue to watch future episodes. If I may, correct one statement. At 12:07, you State that Les Paul went to Gibson regarding electrifying their guitars. This is false. Gibson had been producing guitars with electric pickups since the early 1940's. What Les Paul was interested in was a "solid body" electric guitar, in order to get rid of feedback at louder volumes. Please let me know if you feel I am in error. Your fan/CME customer, Brett
I’d like to see an Antigua with a different pickguard that would tone down the finish a bit . Having the PG that matches the finish has always seemed an odd choice to me.
If I am being brutally honest, what is this show trying to be? When the Temu version of the ‘movie guy voice’ narrator was recounting Epiphone history, was that jumping the shark level bad an intentional decision? (When he said “annals of music history” I nearly turned it off.) As it is you’ve got a kind of Ali Express JHS Show meets Anderton’s
This is what I call entertainment. Count me in for future shows. Antiqua colors are awful. Of course, collectors will buy it if it might have value in the future. It's still ugly. Solid color metal flake / sparkle as Fender calls it would have been way cooler.
Disappointing to hear you guys repeating the lie about Epiphone being founded in 1873. It’s simply not true, no matter how many times Gibson repeats it.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
HOPE YOU LIKE THE NEW SERIES! MORE TO COME!
SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE!!
Love this historical context - do more! History of the company, how many times they went bust, famous players, innovation etc…

This is the guitar equivalent of the Top Gear News segment and I’m here for it!
Possible inspiration lol 👀

This is actually incredible, THE CME SHOW. Loved it, keep more of them coming.
Thank you!! 🤘🤘
I need a nathanial cover album, i swear he can make rubber bands on a stick sound like a custom shop. What a guy
That’s nothing. I can make a Custom Shop sound like rubber bands on a stick.
@Dreyno 🫂🫂
Thanks guys, I’m a proud owner of a 1962-63 Epiphone Riviera in cherry red. It plays so good
🤘🤘

Enjoyed the first episode, Easy to watch, interesting and informative..Warm audio nailed the vintage chorus pedal enjoying playing mine a lot
Thank you!! 🙏
I have a '81 Epiphone Genesis Custom...Thing sounds and plays amazing... Too bad you didnt demo it! Totally underrated instrument.
Actually Epi was Anastasios's son, Epaminondas "Epi" Stathopoulos ;) phone means voice in Greek.
Yeah, and brush up on model names a couple minutes beforehand as well. Talking to you, Daniel. No, not you, the OTHER Daniel. No, not Dan, the oth
😉
I enjoyed this! thanks guys!
Thank you! 🙏
Excellent - more please :)
More on the way!!
Oh hell yeah! More Murphy the better :)
Great addition to the CME portfolio. I'd love to see a segment on what's new and unique in the pedal market.
Love the new show.
Hate the antigua finish but the block fret inlays are awesome.
🤘
Thank you! 🙏
I have too many epiphones now including that QueenBee but id love that 65 sheraton
sick ghost riff at the end
🤘🤘
Please. PLEASE Do a episode on the new " custom shop Daisey Rock" line of amazing instruments!!!
You CANNOT imagine the number of spirits crushed if you don't make this a regular.

Oh, and the "Dan/iels"; wth???
I love my vintage Epiphone acoustic! I request more drum segments featuring meeee!
Hands down the nicest new epiphone model is the emperor swingster deluxe. It has no business being as good as it is, and it’s cool seeing the early versions mentioned in a video.
love this!
I’ll say it. I love the antigua finish.
🙏🙏
Nice lefthanded acoustic and flying V behind the host historian
What a great vid, thank you CME. Also, what would an epi Jorma Kaukonen model be worth these days??
Thanks! I’ll check with our vintage team! 🤘🤘
i want to say Frampton is known as Texan player iirc
Interesting, thank you
Nice Jumper m8 , Manchester city blues , in redd 😮
Damn, this dude loves switches.
"It comes with an amp" 🤣 But no stereo out option! Hail, hail the mighty CE-1!
Old epiphones are so cool
I need that Antigua tele

Thank you! That’s a good idea!
And I can't believe that the Series isn't called "Murphy's Lore"
Where can i get that 1990's Epiphone SG 70 made in Japan? You don't have a link to that guitar and I can't find it on your website.
That guitar is currently in the CME vault and not for sale. Sorry!
@@chicagomusicexchangeDo you know where I can get one?
Antugua as a country in the Caribbean, YES! As a Fender finish, NO! Future episode devoted to Squier?
🤘🤘

Antigua makes me think so much of the Danectro Longhorn burst.
The Murphy epilab 😁
17:38 how the hell do you even keep the upper strings clean and stretch your thumb like that?!
Wizardry lol
Dig it. Lot of work in evidence to make the show. Keep it up please. The covers were good.
Epicphone 🎸
The Roland JC amps has this exact chorus circuitry in it. Save the money! Buy the amp!
Nathaniel, what is your dream guitar?
I know he really wants a ES-295 someday
I’d like to see an Antigua with a different pickguard that would tone down the finish a bit . Having the PG that matches the finish has always seemed an odd choice to me.
Antigua.... a finish only it's mother could love.
OMG ! That clip on tuner over the vintage logo is a sin!
Epiphone doesn't get the love it deserves.
Anyone know the riff at 19:41? Thanks
The amazing band Khruangbin. The song is called 'White Gloves'.
37:02 Haha made you look.
Love the finish has a western look
Good but y’all need a singer! (I volunteer 👨🎤 😂)

We thought it was funny 🤷♂️
Sorry
I have an Epi EA250 from Japan. I don’t think they’re very popular or particularly sought after…
Rename the finish #desertstorm and watch them fly out the door.
Thank me later
What was that song at th-cam.com/video/_NJZJGSpl9s/w-d-xo.html?

Love the format. Lose the music in the background. It’s too distracting
Al Caiola Epiphones never came with an amp, it was the professional that came with the amp, come on guys do your research before you do the video!
Great video but IMO we could of done with the treasonous Green Day garbage.
Disappointing to hear you guys repeating the lie about Epiphone being founded in 1873. It’s simply not true, no matter how many times Gibson repeats it.
@@aaronsearle4307what’s the actual year?
There needs to be more love for Gretsch guitars on this channel
Arg...tremolo too fast for every song
