Hi, I watched your video right after we bought our Journey. Have you found the adjustment for the visors? They move laterally to help block out the sun coming in at an angle. And have you noticed the safety lights on the bottom of each front door? They give you some light for when you step out in the dark. These cars have so many cool features, you can't find them all! Enjoy
Im glad your enjoying it! I still love our journey but i really wish we would of bought used. New cars are so over rated. I kick my self in the butt every month when we gotta make that "new car payment". you live and you learn i guess.
I would lean more towards it being designed for family, though I feel it has a sporty look which is nice. I don't feel like I'm in a frumpy mom car. But with all of the seating it has and the hidden storage compartments I would deff say its a family car.

Honestly I'm not sure if its an SXT. I would have to check. But ive had it a year now and i still love it. my only complaint is not enough trunk space and i wish i would of skipped out on the sun rough. If im driving on the high way it makes a horrible sound inside the car because its not arrow dynamic like my prix was. But other than those 2 "issues" i still love it. I plan to make an updated review video.

I still have it and love it. Good call on getting the DVD player. Thats my one regret was getting the sun roof instead of the DVD player. Sun roofs are great in stream line cars, but the journey is to boxy and makes an awful sound inside the cabin, so i never use it.
Cristin Sierra you could get both, I have a sunroof and the DVD player, I find i don’t use my sunroof that much ether. The DVD player is great though because you can control it up front and it came with a remote and wireless headphones. How much miles do you have on your journey? Is yours awd?
Hi its been 2 years since this was made but how is the car holding up? Do u still love it in concider buying this year and model .. just moved to where it snows and need a nice suv it’s awd?
Kohana P yea we still love it & other then routine maintenance we haven’t had any issues with it. It’s don’t really well on snow and ice. The only down fall is that the tires are really expensive to replace, Dodge quoted us at about $800 for a new set of tires 😬 we are gonna check into tire barn and see if they are any cheeper from some where else. We also regret paying extra for the sunroof. The car isn’t really aerodynamic enough to have the sunroof open. It makes a really loud sound in the cabin that’s rather unpleasant. If we could do it over we would of spent the money on a DVD player in the back seat instead of the sunroof. But other wise it’s been a great family car

Superior Lawn Care in total we spent $35,000. I don’t remember exactly how everything broke down & we had really bad credit when we bought it, so the interest on your loan may be different then ours.

My wife told me that the journey was on sale starting at $19,000. I'm kinda interested but I can't get the basic model. I need the sportier model.
Mira Reyna yes it is running really well, no major issues. Though any kind of tire repair is expensive, they are about $230 per. Only real issue we have had so far was a sensor went out ( can’t remember what it was for) but it causes the car to only be able to go like 15 miles an hour and that was about $200ish to replace.

yes I still have it and its been a great car. my only big complaint is the price to replace tires, its like $230 per. the third row seating is also about worthless. its really uncomfortable for adults and leaves very little trunk space when the third row is up. If yours buying the car brand new like we did I would recommend skipping the third row seating, its an unnecessary added expense, I can't remember how much extra we paid for it but it wasn't worth it.

If I could give you a peace of advice, if you are interested in getting one with a sun rough ask to test drive one with a sun rough & drive it around town & down the bypass with it open. I wish we hadn't spent that extra grand to get it. I never use it. It makes an awful roaring sound inside the car when it's open. So deff test it out for your self. I loved the sun rough on my prix so didn't try it out when testing driving the journey. But the boxy style just isn't arrow dynamic like my prix & the air goes right into the car instead of passing smoothly over top.
I'll be sure to consider the sunroof. It's more of a cosmetic thing for me. I rarely use a sunroof. We were wanting a Dodge Charger, but with our credit, they are suggesting the Journey for us. Does it have much power?
Debra DeYarmon umm I think it does. It's less then having a super charger which is what I had in the prix but it still accelerate pretty quick. I went in originally wanting a Jeep Compass but that thing took for ever to accelerate. It was like going at a snails pace. But I was pleased with the journey. I felt like I could pass people fairly quickly. When you test drive it try getting it up to speed on the bypass & then passing some one. You'll have a good idea of your comfortable with the accelerations that way or not.
I do still like the car its self, how ever the third row seating is rather snug, so if you have more then two kids I wouldn't recommend it. On top of that we have recently had to replace some tires and the tires are about $250 each from tire barn. Dodge wants to charge us $300 each. If I had known tires were so expensive to replace I may have re thought being this car. Any car ive had before this one was about $75-$100 to replace tires. but these tires are "special" for some reason and there for more expensive.
+Cristin Sierra so far I really like it, just a few small things I don't like is that the back of the drivers seat feels like it's too far back at the top so I have to hunch over to reach the wheel, also the brake pedal is incredibly high up and I can't rest my heel on the floor of the car when I apply pressure to the brake, I have to have my foot in the air. Very nice and detailed review. Do you happen to know if it is easier to get to the 3rd row with 2 child seats in the middle row? Also, could an adult easily fit in the 3rd row? I've looked all over TH-cam and can't find a single video showing the leg room in 3rd row. Thanks so much for the video
the third row is ok for kids and you can put booster seats or small car seats in the third row. But it'll be easier to have older kids sit in the third row and have them climb threw the trunk then it would be to get in threw the door if you have car seats in the second row. Its a bit of a productions to get anyone into the 3rd row, if its something your going to use often I would suggest looking at a different vehicle. I have a review of my husbands Pacifica, his 3rd is much easier to get in and out of. 3rd row in the dodge for an adult sucks.

Replacement the battery is also a pain. You have to remove the front bumper and driver ride tire to get to it, you pretty much have to take it to a shop. Personally I wouldn’t recommend buying it new, the amount they deprecate is sickening. I would recommend checking out Adams auto group on E Boulevard. We recently got my husband a used Pacifica from them and had a great experience

Chelsea Elliott we are still loving it and we considered getting a second one for my husband, but got a better deal on a used Pacifica which I also have a review of if your interested 😉 lol two issues that we have had with the journey that I have never had an issue with on another car is 1 the battery, it’s down behind the drivers side front wheel and you have to take off half the pumper and the wheel to get to it, they pretty much designed it so you’ll have to take it to a shop to replace the battery and the second thing is that the tires are really expensive to replace. We have found tire barn to be the cheapest in our town offering them for $240 a tire, dodge wants $300 a tire and bell tire said they would only sell them in a whole set. I have a nack for running over nails, an with tires sitting at $240 each we have patched a few of my tires to death lol. Also I wouldn’t get the sun roof, it’s ok if your driving slow, but if your on the interest it pushes air into the cabin and makes an awful sound. But I love how it drives, its roomy on the inside, it has a sleek look and I love the trunk space. If I’m being honest the 3rd row seating is kind of a waist, it’s not if you are in a pinch I guess lol but to use it all the time it’s just not particle or very comfortable, at least not for adults.

@@JosLewisCarpenter it’s not just the tire it’s also the front bumper, which is past my know how. And no I don’t drive high way speed with my sun roof open, it makes a horrible sound. However I live out in the middle of nowhere so I drive about 70mph wherever I go, so I never get to use the sunroof which makes it useless to me. @@CristinSierra What is useless (nonsense actually) is to compare a sunroof in a Prix (Sport car) to the sunroof in that SUV For your information a lot of people like to still have the option of a sunroof even to keep it close most of the time. If you like to use it open most of time, that's on you, not that make it useless if it makes sound when driving. Sunroof are not specifically meant to have them open when driving.

I had a 2010 but the inside was outdated and it had a rust problem on front fender but I bought used in like the one you have with awd
