HOPE THEY CONTINUE MAKING MORE VIDEO GAME ACCURATE MOVIES
the beam shot from the beacon Robotnik made is a possible reference to him pissing on the moon in the SA-2 fandub
And him saying "renovate this dump" while rolling his R is a possible reference to the late Long John Baldry, the Robotnik VA for the AOSTH cartoon and the one responsible for saying pingas.
and Robotnik's calling Sonic "Hedgehog" or "Rodent" and his autotuned voice talking sinisterly could be a reference to Jim Cumming's Robotnik another take loved by a good majority of fans

I think the Chaos Emeralds actually did scatter after Sonic reverted back from his Super form. We don't see them in the pile of Master Emerald shards when Knuckles fixes them, so I think that was the movie's way of showing that, like the games, they've become separate artifacts from the Master Emerald.
I hope so, because I was genuinely confused how Knuckles reforged it when the Chaos Emeralds were nowhere in sight.
That was such an awesome detail! I didn't even think about that. I was too busy being in awe by Super Sonic's existence xD
Yeah I’m they did that because I was super confused since the master emerald and the chaos emeralds are how he turned into hypersonic and I thought by having all the seven emeralds as the master emerald would kind of ruin any chance of them being able to use hyper sonic
Then they'll need to find the damn 4th chaos emerald.
I noticed that too! They are all over earth now. The Master Emerald is still with them and Knuckles is gonna guard as its his job now.
i feel like the dance off scene was strictly there to make kids laugh. Feel like there were more of those moments in this film compared to the first but dont remember. I also agree with there being quite a few scenes where i was wondering why sonic doesn't just use his speed to get out of a situation. Overall super fun film and love how much of the games they incorporated.

Dance sequence was important to build Sonic and Tails's relationship, but also foreshadowed Tails using his holographic cloning trick later. Just wish they used a different song than Uptown Funk.

Tails didn’t know Sonic until when Sonic used his energy blast accidentally at the baseball field, then Tails started watching him for almost a year and it was the fact that Tails could relate and look up to Sonic about being a “freak” due to him being teased and bullied about having 2 tails.
Yeah that's right. Didn't explain how Tails was able to spy on him. Does he have security cameras or something?
I guess he does have security cameras or he might have hacked to have access to the cameras on Earth. I see it as something you don’t think about and forgive it because the movie is great

Probably Tails created something highly advanced that was able to connect to Earth's satellite.
One Easter egg that I noticed was when Agent Stone was flipping through different costumes for Robotnik, and while Stone was flipping through you can see a fat Robotnik that looks very similar to his original design from the game.

I've absolutely had a blast seeing Jim Carrey's Dr Robotnik going into full on villian mode in the final act.
I totally love the conversation he had at the end with Super Sonic.
Especially for Shadow's tease at the mid credit scenes.
Hopefully Robotnik's involvement happens in the 3rd film for Shadow's story.
Jim Carrey might return for the 3rd instalment IF!…..The next movies script is printed in GOLD INK!!
I had a feeling the post-credit scene would include Shadow. Although I pictured it to be quite different. Before this movie came out, I had two scenarios of what the post-credit scene would be.
1. Robotnik escapes and begins building Metal Sonic.
2. Robotnik is arrested by GUN, he’s interrogated by a GUN Officer, and the officer mentions his grandfather and Project: Shadow. Robotnik is intrigued by the sound of the project and says, “Tell me more about this…Project: Shadow.”
But the movie did a better job than I imagined. Now I can’t wait to see the third movie!! HYPE!!
One scenario of mine had Robotnik in jail reading a newspaper that mentions “Project Shadow”. The other one which is far older was Robotnik in some sort of secret fortress contemplating his new creation, Shadow (I didn’t had much ideas back then)

I do wish the movie had included some of the musical cues from the games, like the panic-inducing drowning music and the Ice Cap Zone theme during the snowboarding scene.
The drowning theme was actually in there, just very faint in the ost

I was ecstatic as hell when I heard a brief bit of orchestral Emerald Hill in the first trailer and I am irritated as hell that we didn't get anything like it in the final movie.
At least a couple of them were in there.
I absolutely lost it when I saw my favorite character finally make it into the movies!! And his design was so badass!!!!!

The entire movie was incredible, but the post credit scene was mind blowing. I was actually expecting Metal Sonic to appear in the post credit scene. I think for Sonic 3 they should have Eggman return create Metal Sonic and recruit Shadow to be the villains for Sonic, Tails, and Knockles. I think Shadow should stay a villain for the entire Sonic 3 movie and maybe by the end of the movie they tease a possible solo Shadow the Hedgehog movie. I’m truly hoping that after Sonic 3, they continue making more Sonic movies. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Shadow the Hedgehog movie would be about Shadow in the modern world trying to uncover the truth about who got Maria killed.
I feel like somehow at the near end of sonic 3 Shadow will end up sacrificing himself

I seen Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in theaters today, I loved it. 8/10. It was comedic, emotional and epic.

With that post credit scene introducing Shadow I just can’t wait to see Sonic the Hedgehog 3, especially since Sonic Adventure 2 is one of my favourite sonic games.

I saw the film today and it was absolutely amazing!!!
It was also kind of funny seeing my parents reactions (since they know next to nothing about the sonic series) they literally thought Tails was a girl for half the movie, Rookie mistake
My favorite easter egg was Knuckles asking if ice cream had grapes, since the Sonic 3 manual mentioned grapes were his favorite food.
I've seen so many amazing movies since I was a kid and now being 21. So many goosebump moments. Exciting post credits scenes from marvel. But I kid you not, no exaggeration, seeing Shadow at the end of the movie made my mind go absolutely insane, I've never felt shivers and goosebumps like that ever before! I am so excited for Sonic 3

This movie was so good that I would actually see it more than one time. I lost my voice near the end of the movie, just like in Spider-Man No Way Home. They did an amazing job with this movie. I’m so excited to see the Knuckles Spin-Off series and Sonic The Hedgehog 3!!!
What I can see from Shadow in Sonic 3 is maybe at the end he does stop fighting Sonic, but he doesn't befriend him, going solo.
I had a blast with this movie, I was literally shaking during the super sonic scene because I was so happy they actually did it

My personal favorite Easter egg is when sonic goes unconscious after drowning, you can hear a split second of the drowning music. It is my favorite track from all the sonic games and to hear that tense music get a small orchestra rendition was great

Correction: The emeralds did fly off after Super Sonic transformed back. Knuckles just reformed the outer layer of the Master Emerald, making the Chaos emeralds and the Master Emerald separate things, like the video games.
There’s actually a Sonic 06 reference in this movie! When Sonic in his Super form defeats Robotnik with a simple tap with his foot, that’s an homage to Sonic 06’s opening cinematic cutscene where he knocks an Egg Gunner off the edge with a simple foot tap.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 exceeded my expectations and I cannot WAIT until the 3rd installment! So much nostalgia experienced in the film. I’m glad so much heart and passion is taken to Sonic.

Hey Chris you forgot that before Agent Stone got caught by Wade when Stone is checking out on which suit fit for Eggman one of them being a classic Eggman suit and a megamind-esque suit
I honestly love the human characters in this series. The only scene I would’ve cut is the dance battle scene which felt unnecessary
To me that scene built Sonic and Tails relationship.

I LOVE THE POST CREDIT SCENE
Love how they are bringing in Shadow for the third installment! Would have been ok with Metal Sonic, but I believe this route can lead to a 2 part movie. Could go the route of the Sonic Adventure 2 game, which you had to beat it 3 different ways to beat the game. Would be a way to introduce Rouge and then each character would have their rival counterpart. But whatever they decide to do, Shadow should be an antagonist. Curious to see who will voice the legendary ultimate life form...
This movie was great. I honestly had such a fun time with it, and I agree. The detour in Serbia felt completely unnecessary, but I thought Rachel going after the agent was hilarious (even if it also felt a bit unnecessary). I also loved just how many Easter eggs from the Sonic franchise were in the film. My personal favorite is when Agent Stone is going through alternate outfits for Robotnik and he skips past his original game design. Anyway I think anyone who's a Sonic fan will enjoy this film. Not only is it pretty faithful to the games, but it's just an entertaining movie overall. I'm interested to see if Metal Sonic or any of the E-series robots will make it into the third film. Omega is usually tied to Shadow in Team Dark so it would be cool to see him make a live-action appearance.
There’s just such an amazing feeling watching all those filming videos and then months later seeing the final product it was a fun ride and I was hella glad to be a part of it
They actually have a separate Master emerald for what i understood, the emeralds did fly up in the sky and i didn't see them come back, Knuckles just fixed up the shards he had.

The instruction booklet for the final robot was designed like a old school Sega Genesis instruction booklet they would include with the games!
My shadow theory: The next film will have Shadow become an ally, but he won't be buddy buddy with Sonic. I imagine they'll have a BvS Martha moment where a human, maybe Tom or Jojo, will try and save Sonic from getting killed by Shadow, which gives Shadow flashbacks to Maria and making him realize Sonic is going through the exact same thing he did those years ago.
Shadow will team up with Sonic for the final battle, but feeling regret for his actions he goes out on his own and becomes more of a brooding anti-hero who respects and admires Sonic, but doesn't want to work with him unless it's a bigger threat. That's the route I'm thinking they'll go in, at least.
That's just the same as this movie....

@@nintendowatermelon6357 Well, Knuckles really didn't become an anti-hero at the end. He became Sonic's friend and is now apart of his team. My thought is that Shadow only makes a temporary alliance, and after he's finished he's on his own and goes his own way. He's still has respect for sonic but doesn't work with him and instead chooses his own path and his own methods.

knuckles was my favorite part of that whole movie, i had a smile on my face every time i saw him idris elba did an incredible job on him.
for shadow i feel like it will be something to do with the race of hedgehogs that sonic belonged to and maybe shadow was sent to earth, found by humans and then frozen to be used for another time

While I understand that most of us believe they'll change Shadow's story to some degree, I feel that they will definitely keep his relationship with Maria, explaining why they still want to keep the humans characters around for at least a little longer. Tom and Maddie relationship with Sonic is a perfect reflection of Shadow's with Maria and can be used to show how far Sonic could fall if he ever loses his loved ones like Shadow. As for Shadow, it will probably be best if he stayed as a full antagonist for Sonic 3 to not repeat this movie and be less complicated than to introduce enemies like Chaos or the Biolizard. Although, I do want them to bring in Metal Sonic and be part of the story and remain for future sequels, having a three-way fight between Sonic, Shadow, and Metal Sonic would be great, especially if they all went super. They could possibly do a redemption of Shadow in his own movie if they wanted to.

The Super Sonic in the movie reminded me so much of Super Sonic from the Sonic Unleashed intro. The graphics in that game were really way ahead of its time.
I think the whole movie for me was awesome and the post credit scene at the end blew me mind away PS I think they're kind of doing the same storyline as Sonic Adventure 2 where Shadow was introduced. Also the snowboarding seen with Sonic kind of reminded me of Sonic Adventure 1 when he snowboarded down the Mountain to get away from an avalanche
I thought I missed this as he usually posts before I see the movie, even on opening day 😂

They made super sonic SO BEAUTIFUL but MENACING at the same time
I loved this movie. I've been a fan of Sonic since the Adventure-Era on the Dreamcast (I did have that clunky Game Gear and had Sonic game on it as well, but that thing killed batteries so fast) and man, I felt like that 8 year old kid again when I was watching this film. The movie has a lot of heart, and a good message for kids. The characterization of Knuckles & Tails was pretty spot on too. All the lore from prior video games & tv series was just cool to see. Some jokes don't land, and some scenes/sequences go on too long, but it didn't ruin the movie for me like it did for others. And BRUH, that end credit scene! My top 3 actors to pick for the voice of Shadow are: Keanu Reeves, Adam Driver, & Sam Witwer (Christian Bale & Tyler Hoechlin might be interesting as well!) That is, if they don't go with a pre-existing Shadow VA ( Jason Griffith)
Also, the crowd I was with was clapping and laughing throughout it! Kids & Adults gasping at the end credit scene!
Finally I’ve been waiting forever!
In the part when Sonic said gotta go fast ever reminded me of the part when he said into the first trailer for for the first movie
An Easter egg I did catch was at the end where Knuckles asked "does it have grapes in them?"

shadow is my all time favorite character in media behind sora in kingdom hearts. i was eagerly waiting for this movie just for shadow and i was not disappointed. i yelled and cried and clapped, Sonic 2 absolutely killed it for me

I really don't think they'll keep shadow a villain. His redemption and hes relationship Maria (eggmans cousin) were a pivotal part of his character and is much more important to his character than knuckles' redemption who wasn't evil just tricked.

I immediately caught that Sonic 06 reference when super sonic gave the robotnik a little love tap, just like how he does to the robot goon in the opening of 06
Now that I think about it... The Dance Sequence really reminds me of the music video segments in Sonic Underground.
When Dr Eggman puts up his hologram of sonic you see his classic tapping foot pose and also you see red eyes which is a reference to the dark creepy thing of sonic and also you see Robotnik in his original costume in the movie when Lieutenant Stone is scrawling through options of robotics costume
My favorite moment is when doctor Stone was looking through the costume changes in before Eggman showed up or before Wayne shut up and then he you can see the old Doctor Robotnik costume with the cape in the fat
In the opening scene where Robotnik was talking to "Agent Stone" it reminded me alot of Wilson from Cast Away
When Agent Stone is looking for a new costume for Eggman, I noticed the fat suit as one of the options
I love how they had the emerald on longclaws map come to be noticed and be used In a big way
If you listen closely to where sonic is in the water after saving knuckles, you can actually hear the music in the background, the one that plays in the game.

I watched the movie a few seconds ago free on demand without watching a review of the movie first and it is my second favourite movie of all time it is amazing.
Saw it yesterday on my day off and I was the only one in the theater lol. I didn’t mind though; it was awesome having my own private screening :)
And finally what I've been wanting to talk about, OMG!!! I loved that mid credits scene it was so cool, I mean I literally shrieked and gasped when I saw Shadow The Hedgehog
