The next big idea I have I feel like people would really enjoy! Sometimes the queue lines for the rides can get super long. One thing that would really keep the guests happy during that time frame would be for them to put some form of entertainment in the lines! They could get really creative! Interactive screens and games or even live entertainers! This would be especially handy for the newer rides that are really popular!
The biggest idea I can think of is building a water park right next to Silver Dollar City but, make it different compared to Whitewater. I've never been to Whitewater but I've seen pictures and if I didn't know better I wouldn't even know that Silver Dollar City owned Whitewater. If they put a new water park right next to Silver Dollar city, they could completely make it look like an 1800 theme as well. They could really go all out and make it look really unique and different compared to all the other water parks. Something that would stand out! And of course, a few duck statues would really add to the vibe🦆🦆
I agree on number 2, there definitely needs to be separate entry and exit paths up front. Number 5, I like the idea of a path from Grand Expo to FITH, but a path from Outlaw Run to anywhere would require another RR crossing and I don't see that happening. However, a path from Powder Keg to American Plunge shouldn't be a big problem and would free up a lot of foot traffic. There also needs to be an overpass or tunnel for the walkway to the parking lots to separate from the tram traffic. Many great ideas!
I would love some more mild thrill rides, like Thunderation but more smooth lol. Something my younger kids can ride but a step up from FITH. I would also LOVE a resort or SDC owned hotel(s), I know they would be well taken care of.
Bring back "Its a Wonderful life" and the Original music to a Christmas Carol. Build a new saloon where the the old FITH was. Twice the size of the original with a true restaurant menu. BUMPER CARS. New parking lot climate controlled trams. Complete the path to Outlaw run. All day dining pass like Sea World. You can eat at a restaurant every 90 minutes. Offical Mascot, "Branson Bear?" with shirts, hats, plush, and meet and greet near carousel. Reopen restaurant in Midtown. More benches.
The flooded mine need some attention. The guns are always broken. My kids really like to ride it but it's just not that fun. An update similar to Fire in the hole would be nice. A tram or trolley that could take you from the Fire District / Grand Exposition to the front to the parking lot would be great. We often find ourselves down there at the end of the day and have to walk all the way to the front of the park to leave. We were the the other day for the Summer Nights and everyone watched the fireworks at Echo Hollow. When they were over everyone had to funnel back up to the front of the park. A secondary route would be nice. Run some busses from behind fire in the hole to the parking lot or something.
And I don’t like the dark ride idea I was thinking about in the fire in the hole spot it should be a museum talking about the history about the park and if they still have a train from fire in the hole and some prompts they should put it in the museum they should make I mean Dollywood has one why shouldn’t SDC
What role did you do at SDC? My smaller scale idea I’m most passionate about would be a year-round changing theming of Foggy Hollow! Less work for put up and take down, especially with the permanent development of Pumpkin Plaza. Honorable mention: dining add-on for passholders!
I would like to see your dark ride idea come to fruition. If a person doesn’t do roller coasters, it would be nice to have other rides for them. I (64) went with my son (27). We both found out that coasters do not agree with us anymore lol. We did a few other things but that’s when I realized the value of the Disney rides that aren’t super crazy coasters.
Reimagine Thunderation! I believe it's now the oldest coaster in the park. They could totally tear down and rebuild with a smoother running track and also engineer it in a way that allows guests to safely ride forward and backwards once again. They should also expand on family rides that all can go on together.
We went to Universal Studios...my son has CP and is disabled We waited in air conditioned rooms in the buildings of the attractions We were in first and out first. It was wonderful
Better wifi would be great. And more shade is a necessity. More misters and at least some fans would be great too. Another non-rollercoaster ride would be nice. There's only like 2 rides I will currently go on since they changed the Lost River into Mystic River Falls with the crazy elevator thing and giant water slide. Not everybody likes rollercoasters. I think more parades would be cool, like themed to the season or whatever is going on in the park. Maybe a little longer than they are now, but not too long. By the end of the day I'm exhausted and ready to just go... I've always wished they'd use the train to get to different parts of the park. Maybe 1 trip can be the ride with the train robbers/Cmas story and then have 1 that makes a circuit and stops at other stations. It already makes a loop around most of the park, they'd just have to add a track switch to not go out to the cabin area and just go around the park. They could do 2 separate entrances to the main station with old timey train station signs, 1 with a list of the other stations and the ride 1 they could call the scenic tour or something like that.
They used to (‘80’s) go straight to the top of lot 2 (before lot 3, it was lot ‘C’ - for car), had a tower, instead of going to the west. Had the World musicians at World Fest come and join the guests in a parade around the Gazebo singing What a Wonderful World.
The Christmas parade is only 4 minutes long because SDC doesn't have the manpower to put a large parade together. Where do you expect SDC to get the people for a parade? It would take too many people.
Noooo! I LOVE how sdc doesn't allow alcoholic beverages. People can go 7 hours without drinking. Too many people take it too far once they get a drink. I've been around it!
I, too, disagree! Let's keep this place alcohol free! If you can't go a day without getting buzzed, then maybe there is a problem with you, not the park! (Prov. 20:1 "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging, whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.") It is a wise decision to keep SDC alcohol free!!
I’ve seen too many incidents in theme parks where one parent or another was ruining their family time with drinking. I’ve also seen people with no children acting a fool and annoying families that aren’t drinking. People should go somewhere else if they can’t go a day without drinking.
They honestly need to upgrade the nursing rooms. It was very small and cramped and the walls don't go all the way up so when someone else came in it was very distracting and kept my baby awake. Bigger rooms, more comfortable chair, more sound proof, more rooms available so you don't have to hurry, something on the TV other than a Mercy ad 🫠

Hey John. Nice studio. Yes, redo the Entrance/Exit, really big Christmas parade with fireworks and a new dark ride
Some type of tram or gondola to bring you from front of Park to the back of the park
Great video! Thanks for sharing your time with all of us. Hope there’s another live soon too!

Old fashioned swimming hole type park.

New routes in the cave. New Stuff about the cave. Also I remember when the tram used to hug the tree line

With the water park thing they should move White Water closer to SDC so they can expand and they also should make a Water Bogging 2.0

I will watch later🫡

Yes with the WiFi! Because the cell service is pretty bad (I’m assuming due to the trees 🤷🏻♀️) & it is a •pain• getting the app to work in the park.

Cant wait to head to SDC on july 23rd
We went to Universal Studios...my son has CP and is disabled
We waited in air conditioned rooms in the buildings of the attractions
We were in first and out first. It was wonderful
Wish they would change things up for the Christmas like a Christmas dance for kids like they do for fall festival

What if they connected the dead into Powderkeg to the dead end of wildfire and added a huge new area?
They should move the cave to the back of the park
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to SDC but there should be different entrance and a exit away from the entrance
How about the dark ride be about Harold Bell Wright, somehow?
Or maybe about the growth of Silver Dollar City
A TPF VIDEO????
I know!!
Idk I would love to pay one fee to enter and have food and drink available to me when I need it.
yeah, a Food Pass (not the Tasting Passport) would be good.
They used to (‘80’s) go straight to the top of lot 2 (before lot 3, it was lot ‘C’ - for car), had a tower, instead of going to the west.

I was thinking the same thing.
The population for the last 40 years has continued to grow.
@@localfocalkc It's not about population. It's about how many spare paid workers SDC has available.
@@AdamDennis-o5q hire more. 🤯
@@localfocalkc What would the extra hired people do when the parade isn't going on? You can't hire people to just work 2 hours a day.
You can't move the cave
Or more specifically the cable train out of the cave
New full inside version of buzzsaw falls no outside areas
Bring buzzsaw falls back
just let me buy wine at sdc. other parks have proven that you CAN serve alcohol and still maintain a family-friendly environment.
Noooo! I LOVE how sdc doesn't allow alcoholic beverages. People can go 7 hours without drinking. Too many people take it too far once they get a drink. I've been around it!
