Please pray for me that i will turn away from my sexual temptations, it has had a hold on me for all my life. I am wanting to know a repentance in my life that will free me from this struggle.

It is not an easy struggle. I think the big thing is that when you ask God to forgive you stay in that place. Your strength and ability to repent comes from the Holy Spirit...not from you...seek God with all of your heart ...listen to Derek's sermons on walking by the Holy Spirit, seek to be under the authority of the Spirit and ALLOW God to FORGIVE you when you stumble. (God has bound all men over to disobedience that he may have mercy on them) God delights in showing mercy and forgiveness...When you receive it, recognize it is the Holy Spirit in you and learn to walk in step with Him. I will pray for you.
Sounds like u need deliverance
just say: For the Holy Blood of Jesus, I order to the spirit of lust to go away. Many times if needed. And it goes away. Trust me.
Dear Jesus, I know I fell again.
I knew it because I feel sick.
You stand by me day in, day out.
Yet, in choosing you let me pick
You are God and omnipotent.
I'm a foolish child who wants her way.
You never withhold mercy
when in repentance, I bend to pray.
I saw a thing that struck impulse

After error, pride inflated protects,
and failure of principle is fated.
Without You, I can hardly stand.
Until I give my error to You

My soul, self emulated, poised to loose.
Falling to the floor, knowing You,
my wrong, a rotten score, has come due.

Now it's been spilled, bad beans I knew.
He saw the tears for both of us,
the result, compassion for two hearts.
He said forgiven, wiped my face
and those tears, He turned to stars.

We never hear about repentance anymore
Our way is not God's ways. There is a way that looks right in our eyes, but the end of it leads to death.
Pray for many who claim repenting means only to repent of unbelief and not of sin.
We have all gone astray.

How do you repent correctly in terms of repentance in faith not works/religion Catholics think they are repentant and religious but most if not all or not saved I need to know how to repent from the heart truly nota works or religious repentance
The true meaning of Repentance from Greek word "metanoia" mean "change of mind" not "turning from sins" or "repent of your sins". Its a lie "repent of your sins" because its WORK salvation and cannot save you. Even God repented (Jonah 3:10) God cannot sin. "Repent of your sins" translated by St. Jerome of Catholic from Greek word "metanoia" to "penance" meaning "remorse" or turn from sins. Only Jesus Christ can save us through Faith not of works.
@mickme8914. Dear Mick , I know that struggle, it still rears it's head even now after nearly 40 years . However I learnt the true meaning of , " resist the devil and he will flee , " Also I pray every day the opposite of my problem. Thus in addition to the Ephesians 6 armour which I put on daily, before that , I ask God to put on me the undergarments of purity and chastity. I long for that virtue, as I long for other virtues also . The devil tries to temp me by showing me pictures of what he knows very well I used to enjoy. But the undergarments are in place and I can refuse, turn away .
It is important also to avoid watching films which show simulated sex , or read books or magazines about sex . Some preachers talk about the eargate, and the eyegate . You need to protect those . Don't consort with people who tell dirty jokes for example.
Long for the virtue of purity and God will grant it . Chastity may not be appropriate for you as it is for me . If you have a good marriage or want one it wouldn't be . Although a short period on retreat wouldn't be a bad idea . God bless you Mick , I'm sure God will answer your prayer. It needs to come from you, not me .
