Also yung shipping to a UK address. People from UK typically end their addresses with United Kingdom pero kapag tiningnan mo sa chart ng PhlPost, UK is not there. What they use is Great Britain. So when you print out your labels, just change United Kingdom into Great Britain para hindi malito yung tellers (yung ibang tellers kasi ayaw tanggapin kapag United Kingdom ang nakalagay kasi wala sa list pero UK and GBritian is just same-difference). They also have 2 posts like US (London Heathrow and Coventry) MagDora the explorer na lang kayo which of the 2 is closer to the address you're shipping to. ☺️👍
thank you so much for this 🤗 now I won't be terrified to recieve inquiries from abroad. konti na lang 😅 so generous of you to share such knowledge online. God bless you and your business ❤
Update for Registered mail: (This system is still rolling out, nagt-training palang ang mga staff by batch per branch, so hindi pa lahat ng post office meron nito) They have to declare na yung contents at value ng parcel mo sa system nila. May 1% additional charge on top of shipping fee. Php500 ang lowest declareable value so +Php6 sa shipping if yung ang ideclare mo. May computation silang ginagawa which sums up to Php5.8 kaya 6pesos na. Example: yung weight ng parcel mo is 30g going to US, shipping for that is Php214+Php6(1% ng Php500 declared value ng parcel) = Php220 na ang total mo.
As for the contents naman. Yung system nila is medyo bano. They have to input kung ano yung laman ng parcel pero they can't just type any word, may specific list si system at kapag wala yung word na nilagay nila, mage-error and hindi magpiprint yung label. Example: I always declare na keychain yung laman ng parcel ko (which is keychain naman talaga) pero wala sa system nila yung keychain so ayaw tanggapin. Masaklap pa nito, walang drop down na pagpipilian yung box where they input yung content ng parcel and hindi sila binigyan ng listahan. So nangangapa pa sila. (Oh diba ang bano ng system) kawawa naman yung mga staff, mababait naman sila ate 😅 Keychains, pins or any acrylic based merch can be put under "Plastic" kapag notepads, stickers, etc naman or anything paper related, just ask them to input "PAPER" Quezon City Main Postal is not affected by the fire sa Manila Central PO, so operations are as usual as with all smaller qc branches na sa kanila nage-enroute. Anyway. Thanks for listening to my tedtalk. Haha. Tyagain niyo lang yung pagtawag sa number kasi minsan laging busy, marami rin siguro tumatawag.
this is really informative, thank you!! I’m new to international shipping, does philpost require contact number of the buyer specifically parcel going to Canada?
Hello! This was in Hannah’s first episode on Philpost! She shared her experience re mailed returned to her. th-cam.com/video/fXLotqee3UE/w-d-xo.html :) For sender address, I believe she used her business address or where she wants the mailed returned.
Hello! First of all, thank you so much for your video. It is very informational. I did try to look into the Phlpost rates but I couldn't find surface parcel shipping rate at all. My package is around 6-7 kg and the dimension is 39x39x20 so I suppose as you advise, I should turn to a private courrier because it is cheaper? How come on their website, you cannot find the international surface parcel fee. So weird...
From recent experience, packages going to Canada can't be tracked once it leaves the country even if registered mail siya, best to have return card for this
Hi , I'm just first timer here, is it allowed to send snacks with some stuffs to Europe especially to Germany?and will the receiver need to pay for it once they receive the package?thank you
Thank you Hannah, these videos are so helpful! I have a few questions... Are the Philpost rates calculated based on the volumetric weight instead of the actual weight even for registered mail? Can I ship a 30x30x30cm pack via registered mail or is too big?
hi! thank you so much for making this video! btw, for parcels > 500 grams, do you have preferred private couriers? it's my first time having international orders and i'm so nervous of making mistakes 😅
I'll be opening my shop this year and am fully decided to use Philpost to ship internationally. ✨ I just want to say that this is so helpful (been watching ur videos from part 1 hehe) but this is a quick question, I wonder how would u know the total/flat fee for worldwide shipping from PH via Philpost? I've seen many, $10 ung ino-offer nila. Does this depend on what courier u are using? tysm!!
From Hannah 💕 flat fee - PhlPost itself doesn’t offer flat fees for shipping, if they meant how to know how much you charge your customers in an international website, it’s possible to set the shipping price according to weight of purchase and most websites will let you list your rates for a range of weights. If that isn’t an option, you can also just set the amount for yourself based on how much you would like to charge your customers based on the average weight of the orders you receive + packaging costs and other things you pay for related to shipping
@@CommonRoomPH this is very informative! Also, I've been thinking a lot lately of how much individual shipping fee for each item/product (when u list them in ur shop) I should put. I guess, I'll follow ur suggestion since Philpost's rates are based on weights (g), thanks so much, Hannah! 💜
Hi Common Room! I'm shipping internationally for the first time but I'm super confused if a CN22 form is required for registered mail items? The two branches in my area say they only have it for EMS and not registered. There's no other post office near me (I live outside Manila) and I'm concerned because I have items needed to be sent to the EU and I don't want my packages to be returned to me or disposed of. Thanks and hoping for your response!
Sorry it took a while! Here’s Studio Haebi’s reply: for me it’s better to have it printed and specified especially for EU just in case. Better to have extra than lacking details. But if your branch says it’s not necessary, you can still attempt to send and trust them on their judgement :)
hi! i just opened the link for the philpost rates and i am having a hard time figuring out how to read it since it is totally my first time. the numbers looked big to me and i do not know what published rates and surcharges are. and then, there's the total an around thousands din po ang amount. i don't get it po eh, paano kapag isang item lang ang ishi-ship? how would i know how much exactly it would cost me to ship that item? thank you po sana ma-notice 😊
Hi. You would need to know the weight of your package so that you know what weight range you fall under :) Then you check total weight. Make sure you are looking at the philpost rates for registered mail if you’d like a tracking number for your package.
Hi! Thank you so much for having this vid. My cous in USA wants to buy my accessories. Just checked in PhlPost office that their half kilo (registered mail) is roughly 1,300. But i guess my accessories are lower half kilo. Do you have any idea what's the price for lower half kilo? Just estimate. Thank you again! ❤
@@CommonRoomPHwhat if im planning to send bracelets to korea? does it need to be packed in a box or just a bubble mailer po? im planning to give my friend handmade bead bracelets po kasi but i checked halos 1.7k po yung price ph to korea
From Studio Haebi: Yes I think you can include necklace for your pen pal but be careful on thickness because letters and very thin parcels are usually passed through a machine for some stamps so it may or may not be squished. Best to have some padding or use a padded mailer. :)
From Hannah 💕 PhlPost doesn’t have a pick up option, usually private couriers have that but not PhlPost Shopify integration, we’re unsure but from what I know, they dont have..
Hello! If the buyer wants express shipping for their goods, is it possible to have them under IEMS Documents? Since IEMS Merchandise fees are so high 😥 Thank you!
We’re not sure about this bec we mostly use registered mail. It might depend on the branch you are talking to if they will allow you to do that. Usually it depends on the thickness of your item before it’s considered document rate.
hello! i just want to ask if same lang ng time ng arrival yung parcel ng document sa merchandise? i'm planning to send a document kasi and sa asia lang naman siya but i'm scared that it will take months before it arrive sa recipient. thank you!
On the philpost site also, Ma’am :) There should be a page for track and trace page. Usually, registered mails are uploaded on this page in 5 business days after. :)

Nope. Dalhin mo lang parcel mo, no need for ID, although if bago ka nga, best to not seal it first para makita nipa kung anong laman. Pero kung paper materials lang naman, pwede na ring nakaseal
It depends how much the package is. Sometimes, their customs office may require them to pay taxes if a package reach a certain value. This amount values per country.

Hi Common Room! Thank you so much for this series. Its honestly encouraging me so much to pursue a small business. I'd like to ask Hannah for some advice regarding her starting out!
