Craig has improved over the years. In wwdc 2020 he's so much more like a personality that he's carrying the whole show now. Here he's still sweating and making mistakes
Kye Kwon Craig is my favourite Apple presenter, it’s kind of amazing to see how far he’s come, and yeah, he carried WWDC this year. I actually still think he’s good here, but he has become more polished over the years.
He gave a speech at UC Berkeley last December, which is on TH-cam, he specifically mentions he used to be very socially awkward back in the day, him being super confident and suave these days is pretty inspirational.
Public speaking is a very very difficult skill especially doing live demos. He’s come a long way gotta take your hat off to him as he ran the show this year

Scott Forstall wasn't fired, he just left Apple. Apple simply stated he was leaving Apple. However numerous media coverages got in on the news and made it seem like he was fired. It's all just rumors/lies unless Apple confirms he was fired, he wasn't. When you tell a lie and you continuously repeat it, it becomes the truth and what we have accepted as the truth is this lie that Scott Forstall was fired. If he was fired, he would've been out the door immediately but he left in February 2013 after the announcement on October 2012 and was an advisor to Tim Cook until then. Also, if he was fired for the Apple Maps thing he would've been fired about a day or two later not a month later.
Also, this skeuomorphism is actually modern, I know I will probably get slammed for this but hear me out. It only looks old because Apple changed it. When they changed, basically every other company did too. With such a detailed UI, it was clear that as long as it was still around, it wasn't going old. As someone who is making my own skeuomorphic design, I have an enjoyment for a more real/detailed UI. To me, flat designs don't look futuristic at all, they look like something from the 80's the reason it wasn't detailed back then is because we didn't have the technology to make the UI look real. When skeuomorphism arrived, it changed the UI we know and love to something different and more detailed, honestly, the flat designs look very rushed like as if they were made in a day they don't look like they've been worked hard on like the skeuomorphic look. Now that we have the technology to make it look real, that's what we should be using, switch to flat designs is not progression. It is regression, quantity over quality, evolution to de-evolution. The reason so many people were against it is not because it looks "ugly" it's because they can't accept change but they even hide that fact from themselves too. So it's like a video game right, back in the 80's they didn't have the technology to make a real-looking video game so they used 8-bit pixelated designs for the game. This went up to 16-bit, 32-bit, and so on over the years until now where the designs and graphics look very lifelike. So what are they going to do, go back to being 8-bit or 16-bit again and use that as the only look for their games?
Also, the "flat designs" in OS X Yosemite aren't mostly flat, the icons just look more cartoony in fact some icons such as Mail, Calendar, Preview, and Dictionary were only slightly changed while others like Chess, Grapher, iPhoto, Automator, DVD Player, and Stickies weren't changed at all.
I miss Scott Forstall. Hope he does more amazing things with his life.

NOPE. Not true. Scott Forstall and his obsession with tacky, cluttered skeuomorphism had to go. It was so not Apple-like. He was there only because he was Steve Jobs’ protegé.
Jony Ive saved mobile software with iOS 7. It brought the best principles of design that Apple is known for from hardware to software.
That clean, elegant minimalism is in danger because now that Jony Ive has left Apple, they’re adopting something in-between skeuomorphism and minimalism, called “neumorphism” in Big Sur. And it’s horrible. ❌
Rafael Zamora agreed it was good at the time but they needed to move forward and I am glad they did. The design language inside and out is perfect on iOS and iPad compared to the skumorphism
Rafael Zamora your kidding right? Minimalism was over done to the max. Ive should stick to hardware design because his idea of software is the equivalent of a child’s drawing.
