@@kevinschoneck224 i have it, it overloads you with the 47 versions of street fighter like the commentor said, this collection has the sf games i actually still enjoy daily
Now this has got me excited. It actually reminds me of a guy that was making custom Sega genesis and SNES arcade cabinets that ran off of original hardware if I’m remembering correctly.
And with proper vertical display... I think, these are not the last machines, we are seeing from them. In the meantime, you can play your shooters from cartridges.
This looks like a good buy. I built one this size with a Pi4 and sold it. And also modded a Arcade 1up. It was frustrating when guests mashed buttons and entered into a menu that would have screwed everything up. Now I'd rather have a unmodded arcade where anyone can mash buttons and not screw anything up.
The negatives of these is that they are one player unless you plug in a d-pad. They are probably not online. 1up/Tastemakers made some 1 player countercades as well as 2 player ones. I have a few SFII 1up products including a Big Blue, Deluxe which I didn't build yet, and a partycade which is one player but has a controller port for an Xbox controller or something.
This looks awesome, I wish all the games were available one on or they release a cartridge for them but this is a must buy for me and I'll certainly be getting more Evercade games to play on it
I haven't really been on the Evercade wagon before, although I do see it as a good product. But this right here is really cool! I think I'll have to join the fanclub now!
Forgot about the announcement until I saw your video. Definitely preordering Megaman version! Works good for me because of the mobility of the console, can set it up in rooms without a tv, great idea evercade!
I can see my buying this for the ability to add the Evercade arcade cartridges. I think it would seem a bit off to put the other cartridges in there, but that's simply because I want to retain the arcade look.
This is really freaking cool. Maybe if they don't sell out right away and get a decent sale I'll grab the Mega Man one, but sadly I found from my Arcade1UP TMNT cab and Marvel vs Capcom countercade that these are basically just in my game room to look cool so personally I can't justify that price.
I actually was hoping Sega would make a new astro city mini that had a bigger screen and some sort of card/cart system to add new games. This is sort of close, but the cabinet of the Alpha feels a bit too big and the screen size too small. I also greatly prefer ball top sticks, but maybe you can switch them out. In any case, this is an interesting move from Evercade that hopefully won't hurt them too much if this fails.
This is pretty cool. If this sells well, I would love it if they would make something larger, akin to the size of an Arcade 1up, complete with controls for 2 players. Having something like that with the carts working for it would be awesome. And maybe offer options to swap out not only the marquee, but at minimum the control deck art and screen bezel. The side arts would be a bonus, but maybe not realistic due to size.
The price is actually pretty good. I'm building my own, it'll have thousands of games and systems and a bigger screen, but the parts alone are going to cost at least double that price.
I like the idea of having a mini arcade with the ability to add in cartridges. I think I'd have to go with Mega Man but having all 3 Alpha games is tempting too. What would have been amazing is if they launched with games like Alien Vs Predator or the all the Vs games like MVC 1 & 2, Xmen Vs Street Fighter, X-Men COTA and Marvel Superheroes
It sounds awesome and I love the whole cartridge idea but it will be amazing if you can connect both of the systems together and then player one becomes one player and player two becomes the other by connecting the two arcade units together that would make it even more worth because then you would have to get both arcade machines in order to play player one and player 2 Street fighter
I have been thinking about getting into Evercade. This looks like a great product to start. I’m very much into the nostalgia so SF cab would be my choice of the two. Thank you for videos. I always enjoy them and I seem to learn something along the way. Thanks!
I mostly guessed right, just that I thought that it would be an arcade stick that plugged into a TV. Little cabinet is cute and looks like a lot of effort has been put into it, but that's just too big of a novelty to keep around. Games locked to the hardware is basically Evercade poking holes in their own concept.
Yes, I think player 1 will use the joystick and local player 2 can just plug a USB controller. Ashame no WiFi Vs online battle, so abit pointless. 8inchs IPS, should have been at least 10inches, well that's what the Mrs says too 🤣😂😆

One thing I was wondering, but I don`t think it has it. Tv output. Would be nice if it would have it in the back to plug HDMI to the TV even if it has a screen. But I don`t think it has it. I checked the specs on the site.
Its neat, glad they made it. I just don't have much interest in arcade cabinets smaller than ones you'd find in an actual arcade. I'm a grown man now... so something like this might appeal to my 10yo son, but not me. Same goes for those 1UP machine.
Honestly I really like it, but I feel the angle of the screen could be an issue depending on peoples table height and their actual height in general. Im also wondering how taito mode games will look on this as the wide screen might make it a little small on the eyes, would have hoped for a more square screen or maybe one that rotates. Also sucks that yet again capcom keeps games built in :(
For its price I don’t think the screen is big enough for it to be any more than just a novelty also I have issues with the arcade stick obscuring the screen especially if you attach a controller and play from a distance.
I’m very green when it comes to evercade. I’ll be getting one of these but I see cartridges like the worms collection on Amazon say “Nintendo DS” in its description. Can I play that cartridge on the Alpha? Also Duke nukem?
So u can plug in any evercade cartridges and they will work on here? Also I've heard before that evercade carts may have longevity issues, like some may eventually stop working like bootleg ds carts do sometimes. Not sure if that's just a rumor tho. Anyone heard anything on that or can confirm?

Imagine any of these past CPS/CPSII/CPSIII...
Rather, see Sega make a new console again .
