Oh Steven, the beginning of this amazing video had me nearly pissing me pants, your dad sacked himself, I had to watch that part 4 times 😂😂 It's very rare in our sport to hear someone being as honest as yourself, thank you. The birds trapped great 👍 2nd, 3rd & 4th, can't really complain, however, I know you will be scrutinising your good result. I really do hope the others make there way back mate. Again, I want to thank you for yet again another great video, honestly, and passion. PS, there seems to be an awful lot of birds missing here in the north West also, strange as the weather was amazing, many fliers scratching heads as to why ..... pigeon racing eh 🤔 Well done to you both mate 👏 👍 👌
😂😂😂 he’s a case, think I need to take him to specsavers, but all fun and games here on race day. Thanks pal… no pigeon fancier enjoys racing like that. The only way is up so fingers crossed for better racing. Musta been something air as I just don’t know! Appreciate that pal, glad you enjoy them, that’s what it’s all about! 🤝👏
Alright steven hopefully the youngsters will work their way back, from what I’ve read about there’s been lots of young birds missing luckily for me and neve weve only lost one each week but can’t afford to do that even but the fields are being cut now over here so some will rough it. All the best mate
Hi Wayne, my biggest disappointment is hearing the stories of fellas cleaned, me and dad understand what they feel, tbh to any pigeon man or women feels like a big whole in your life. But that’s good Wayne, we need the numbers to get into races to have a better season alround! But yeah some amount of pigeons roughing it for sure god love them! You too my friend and keep er lit 💪🤝thanks again pal
@@Sleepwalk60 thanks pal, not far away at all! But just think there not race yet just yet. But day by day we will see how we go mate Appreciate the watch and comment 👍
i’m slowly getting my birds trained need to pull the finger out racing season is 5 wks away first round are out to 6-7 m 2 nd group 2 mile i want them to catch up so i can train them all together

Hi hedley yeah we put our life and soul into it! We did a few years back with a lot of sleepless heartache nights and days we came across a vaccination called RP basically a rota vaccine massive difference!!! I’ll do a video on it a some point pal
Hi Steven from what little I know this seems to be a bad year for the youngsters with erratic and poor returns, lets just hope things improve although the bop is a bigger problem than I think we realise , there seems far fewer songbirds about but no doubt that will be the farmers fault !!!
Yeah first two races hasn’t been a great start on any terms. But as you say BOP I think we are infested with them now! Song birds, pigeons just unfortunately don’t get much of a break mervyn! Always someone else fault as you say 🙈 Appreciate you watching pal! 🤝👍
Hi Stephen, 2nd 3rd 4th is good flying, think your correct about the time in the baskets but what do you do if there waiting on the weather clearing, plus couple of strikes by the predators scatters them everywhere, going by the 2 blue cocks behind you in the video it looks like the birds are in good condition, good luck for the coming weeks 🤞and again another good video,
Yeah unfortunately we just lick our wounds and move on… but something to think for the future! Thanks Robert appreciate the comment, just not clicking but we are trying for sure 🤝🤞
You seem disappointed stephen, you left birds at home due to their condition, and there was probably another 10 or so that it was a toss of a coin weather they went or not, so i tink its fair to say youre birds haven't hit form yet, and you lads still got 2 3 4 Etc Etc, so if you are try not to be disappointed pal, its not far away from when they do hit form, and when they do watch fcukn out. Roll on Saturday, you have some training tosse's to get into them and hopefully that does the trick. PS: give youre da a few lessons on the camera, practice makes perfect and all that, if no improvement, then Hatch 3 on a Wednesday 😂😂😂. Best of luck for Saturdays race, weather for Dublin is for a clear day, last night, it said rain all day Saturday, the weather down here is mad, these rogue showers going across is mental, summer my rox 😂

@ssbrownracingpigeons37 Jesus you would have to feel fpr lads that after 2 young bird races and with next year in mind and the need to have yearlings to race as old birds that they feel so down they want to shut up shop because of severe losses in training and racing. You can allways allow for certain amount of losses in race's, that's just how the sport is and allways was and allways will be, but loosing them in training is an absaloute sin, again ya can allow for an odd loss in training, and put it down to BOP getting an odd 1 or hitting wires or tree tops from hedge hopping, but all the time and effort and money lads put in it would break you're heart and want you to put them away to race as yearlings. And as you said if this happens lads like yourself that want to and have the numbers to keep going have nothing to race against, and leaves you with a big team you more than likely have no room to race for next year, and you have to feed them all until you start training them next march. No wonder the sport is struggling. Please god these losses stop or at least ease up a fair bit fpr every one's sake. Best of luck for Saturdays race, pal

Hello Sportsfriend. From where did you get the particular PITCHED whistle from to whistle down the pigeons!?….

We got it from the local pet shop, it’s a whistle for gun dogs/ training dogs😊 I’m sure you could grab one on Amazon 😆
