All the experts say Hurricanes will continue to get worse, but people continue to move to Florida right next to the ocean.

When, not if a major storm finally hits a major Florida city, home owners insurance will be non-existent in the state. No company can survive a half trillion dollar loss. Getting a loan to buy a Florida home won't be available anywhere. And people who currently own a home won't have insurance at all either. At that moment, Florida home owners will truly be 100% on their own.

Let’s rebuild our homes only for the next storm to demolish them all over again. 🤦‍♂️ get out of Florida

Most people will never leave the area they grew up in

Wow! I am amazed at the judgmental and hateful comments. Show me one place on this planet that is completely safe from hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, major fire outbreak, blizzards, tsunamis ,etc. At least we get warnings ahead of time when a hurricane is coming. We will rebuild, and if wherever you are living and are unfortunate enough to have to go through a major disaster, I hope you will receive more compassion and help. Peace.

This was an area hurricane free since 1896 so 1st storm most of these folks went through. Not an area previously hit . Older homes I’m sure. Hope they are able to rebuild stronger homes . Prayers to all who were in the storms path

People move there knowing it’s subject to hurricanes constantly then want to whine about losing their home

That’s probably a good city to visit not to build your life there and then all of a sudden add storm comes in wiped it out and then now you’re scrambling having to start all over I would be moving somewhere else

Those motels were kind of deteriorating and were in need of major remodeling before Idalia.

Most of them gouge the tourists enough all the time that they can afford to rebuild and charge even more.

I'm pretty sure no one is making these people live in Florida! It's their personal choice and if they want to continue living there I say no help from federal tax dollars. Same for those building in flood plains!

Matt. 24. 20. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the begining of the world to this time no nor ever shall be. Rom. Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, Jesus is Lord, time is short, call on him now.
