As a Chargers fan this upcoming season will be 24 years. The year 2000 is when I started watching and rooting for the Chargers, back when Marty Schotenhiemer was our head coach. When the Chargers fired him in 2001 after going 14-2 and losing in the AFC Championship game I feel like that was when this team started to be cursed. But now finally I believe that the hiring of Jim Harbaugh is going to finally break this Chargering curse. I'm soooo excited I cannot wait. The moment I finally turned on Staley was when he went for it on 4th down from our own red zone against the Chiefs. It wasn’t a do or die situation; it was an easy punt call. That didn’t show me that he wasn’t gonna play conservative like Norv and Lynn. That showed me he had no judgment and failed to see what was happening. That and a few other calls really showed me he didn’t know how to run an NFL football game.
Most of his 4rth & goes , Like The 2 point try VRS the Cardinals for a win , I was fine , with . Your call I was WITH you on it . BUT, what I hated was all the FG"S he would pass up on & NOT take ? last year when we set the NFL record for 8 lost games by 3 points or less . How many of those FG"S would have turned that stat & games around ?

You have to account for Chris Jones, and then Herbert will have another second or two to make his throws. Crazy what happens in one or two Mississippi's. :)

Since 1978 Chargers had two HC that had a prior “successful” head coaching experience. Coryel and Schotenhiemer. Coach Turner had other experience, but poor HC experience. They had One other HC that won College Championship: Bobby Ross that took us to SB. ALL other HCs were coordinators moving up and mostly “Yes Men” for the GMs. This is the only time in 45 Years they have gone ALL out and brought in HC with wining experience. In the pros and college.

I hate the Chiefs, but you have to take them seriously. A few times we could have beaten them but we made stupid mistakes and that's not a team you can make mistakes against.

Since 1978 Chargers had two HC that had a prior “successful” head coaching experience. Coryel and Schotenhiemer. Coach Turner had other experience, but poor HC experience.
They had One other HC that won College Championship: Bobby Ross that took us to SB.
ALL other HCs were coordinators moving up and mostly “Yes Men” for the GMs.
This is the only time in 45 Years they have gone ALL out and brought in HC with wining experience. In the pros and college.
Ignore those dopes that constantly gripe.
