kudzu power be extracted from roots of kudzu trees. In Vietam, Our family usualy use this power for drinking & foot processing. We have cultivated & make power by ourself.

I'm thinking if you want to grow it, but keep it from killing the trees, run fencing along a treeline, and put the goats inside. Have ur trees, and Kudzu too. Glad to hear there may be a cure for world hunger. So, air drop a TON of kudzu vines onto Africa?

Older gentleman, the psychologist was going on about how kudzu works as a correction for alcohol dependence... and here I am giddy the kudzu flowers are coming soon so I can make wine 😂😅

I cook up the young shoots just like asparagus, and they're pretty tasty. I also cook up the younger leaves with a little bit of ham just like collared greens or curled dock, and that makes for a great side dish. I haven't made the syrup or the jelly yet, buy I'm planning on making enough this year to get through the winter.
If you are new to this, be sure not to use kudzu from any areas that have been sprayed by the county. Lord knows there's plenty of fresher and safer kudzu around.

In Japan,Kudzu is very expensive plant. The root is stuff of Kudzu starch from 3000years ago. Kudzu starch is perfect stuff of Japanese cake as well as Kudzu Mochi.Kudzu Mochi is clear colar. And hot Kudzu drink with sugar is good for cold. Taste is clear and sweet and simple. Kudzu drink is also sticky like potage.Hot Kudzu drink appears on Japanese classic novel and poem from 2000 years ago.

What a wonderful and nice group of people! Love the little girl seeing the gingerbread man!! I saw it too! And the use of a weed for benefit of its goodness rather than curse it is amazing!!!

@radstorm You can substitute it into any recipe that involves cooked spinach. Just be sure to use the young leaves and pick them where you know the plant has not been sprayed with herbicides or anything else for at least 5 years. Our favorite recipe is kudzu quiche.

Kudzu Covered Land is a song I wrote about kudzu on TH-cam. It grows 1 foot a day in 8 directions.

If you voluntarily put kudzu on your property, my bet is you'll eventually regret it. You've just accepted a lifelong fight to keep it under control

I like that Kudzu song. Too bad though it can't be trained..it's actually a pretty cool plant. Got it in my back yard, and it can with just a breeze hop from one side of the yard to the other. Anybody know where you can find recipes for it, or where I can find that book? If I can't kill it..I'll just eat it..LOL

I just purchased and received the book. One of our sons owns land that has lots of kudzu on it. Gonna bring me some roots to plant in a section of our place to take care of us and our goats. I currently by the kudzu variety pueraria mirifica for menopausal issues and it works great!

To prevent the Kudzu from being overgrazed, you must plant the clustered plantings in a 5 feet by 5 feet area and place a metal cage around it and the galvanized bars must spaced apart by 8 to 12 inches. The Kudzu will be allowed to grow beyond the confines of the cage and only that will be allowed to be grazed by the animals. And the kudzu plants inside the protective cage will retain it's leaves to continue it's continuous regeneration-regrowth indefinitely in the same area much more rapidly. You can graze 200 chickens to the acre, you can graze 8 hogs to the acre, and turkeys like it, and the finer stuff you give to your guinea pigs and and rabbits for pets and stuff like that. There are not anti-quality factor in Kudzu. Goats can thrive on it
