I made this cake today for Mother’s Day and it came out so moist and delicious! The only thing I will probably change next time is the ganache. Even though I like semisweet chocolate and used the Ghirardelli chips that you showed in your written recipe, it just tasted a little too bitter even though I didn’t use the espresso. So I may do 1/2 milk chocolate chips next time or a different topping altogether. The cake was 100% a winner though!

Briefly the components : A cup and a half of hot water A cup and a quarter of unsweetened cocoa powder We mix them and put them on the side for about 10 minutes Grease the cake pan with butter or oil and sprinkle with flour or cocoa powder In another bowl, dry ingredients: 3 and a half cups of flour 2 and a half granulated sugar 2 and a half tablespoons of baking soda or baking powder pinch of salt We add to the cocoa that we have set aside: 1 cup of melted butter Half a cup of vegetable oil 4 large eggs 1 cup of sour cream or its substitute, yogurt A little bit of vanilla - We put this mixture to the dry ingredients We mix them all up We put the mixture in a muffin mold and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 55 minutes
This recipe is amazing and feeds a crowd. Never made a Bundt cake before, so off i went and bought a glorious tin and made this recipe. 🤩totally recommend, so easy to make. 💛🧡

I made this for Friendsgiving and it was a hit! If you choose to make the ganache with espresso (recommend), use 30ml heavy whipping cream and 40ml espresso with the 113g of choc chips. Perfect consistency!

I’ve watched many of your videos and you know what? You are one of the very few Americans who measures the ingredients not only by volume (eg 1 cup) but also in GRAMS (thank god not ounces or pounds 😂). In Europe we don’t have ‘standardized’ cups so it’s almost impossible to fit the exact American cup by volume. what’s even more important the volume is very inaccurate especially with the flour - 1 cup well sifted (and aired) flour can weigh like 50% of the same unsifted flour… and that makes a difference because after sifting 250g flour there will still be 250g Keep going John!

Love that there is no need to cream the butter (or use a mixer for that matter). One of the easiest recipes I've ever witnessed. I'd buy a cookbook that features unintimidating easiest to do recipes ever.

I've been looking for a decent chocolate bundt recipe for about a week. Going to make one tomorrow using this recipe. I have all the ingredients on hand if I use strong coffee as an espresso replacement. I wonder about adding some chocolate chips to the cake batter or if they would just all sink to the bottom of the bundt pan (top of cake).
