- Today is a day of reflection and remembrance for Jeff and I as we both take time to think about our dads.
I have used this to replay Jeffs beautiful Mists of America film.
Thank you and a happy fathers day to all the dads out there
I love to hear how people honour their mothers and fathers. My father died nearly 20 years ago. I have half his ashes buried in my back garden under an oak. My only regret in life is that I never made an audio recording of his voice. However, I have hanging above his resting place the wind chimes he would listen to outside his kitchen window back in Norfolk. It becomes increasingly to recall the sound of his voice so these chimes have become a substitute. Thanks, Jeff, for your video and for honouring your parents. We are a testament to the way they brought us up. I guess from the little I know you they did a great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words....I did this one telling about my father and I did " A hard life was chosen" telling about my mother.
Your support of my efforts has been wonderful.❤❤❤
Thank you Andrew for you words
I would like say to Jeff and Gabe thank you you both have the best parts of each parent in you and it is reflected in your hearts 💕
I am blessed and eternally grateful to call you my friend.
Thanks for your very kind words Dave
Very touching and meaningful to all of us who have lost Fathers 🙏🙏🏿🙏🏽
Thank you very much Barry.... It is very sad that our parents pass from this earth...... I would have much more time to spend with him now than I did at the time that he died.
Samuel Clemens once famously said....."daily I am reminded of the frailty of The human condition".
@@thinking-as-I-wander We need to treasure and appreciate every day we are blessed to receive Love and peace Jeff ✌️✌🏿✌🏽☮️☮️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Thanknyou
A very moving video, Gabe. I hadn't really notice the dates of Jeff's parent's passing until this viewing. I lost my dad in the 1980's. And my mum also in 2016, on Christmas day. We have that in common. Also, my dad was in the navy. It's hard making a video tribute to parents, as I have found out myself, but at least there is a record of their lives that ensures their memory lives on.
Thanks Bernie
What a very sad life your father experienced early on- just hope he had a very happy family life when he married to make up for his bad start.
I think he lived pretty happy life...... Unfortunately he died fairly young, he died from cancer..... But he married the woman he loved.
He worked as an electrician, and he made pretty good money.
Yeah I think he lived a fairly good life.
He read every book he could get his hands on, and he could fix anything.
When I was a kid, he usually had two or three televisions that he was working on for neighbors and friends..... He was very skilled at repairing them.
Even though he had to drop out of school at age 12..... He took college classes at night and on weekends at the local community college, to learn about the things that he loved.
🎉😅😊💙💜
Thank you 😊😊😊
