- This is an official empty house tour of our Ryan Homes Normandy plan! We started this process back in November when we sold our old house and moved into an apartment. This journey was hectic and we thank you all for coming along with us on our weekly updates. We are super excited to be moving in to our new Home and will now be sharing decor updates and family vlogs with you all. Our children are so proud of us and excited to live in this neighborhood where they can have so many friends. It’s crazy how you buy a new build but still have a laundry lists of upgrades to do AFTER you move in. I’m ripping out all the carpet downstairs, changing the light fixtures, doing a backsplash, getting a bench in the mud room, customizing my owners closet and adding storm doors to all the entryways. That’s just a few things to start off lol. All of this would have cost a trillion billion dollars through the builder 😫 congrats to y’all!! Beautiful!

When I move in to my new construction house, I have to add crown molding and redo Master Shower.
This is so true!! Our home is being built now and we plan on customizing a lot of things ourselves.

lts a Ryan home. They build a cheaper home so you do have money to do the upgrades. They don't have a lot of upgrade choices, but its a good home and it's easy to make your own! Congratulations to this family! Super exciting!

*HOW TO CLEAN STOVE GRATES* fill sink with hot water add half cup to full cup of baking soda, place grates in water, add 1 to 2 cups of apple cider vinegar, let soak until water cools. Clean with soft abrasive sponge.

I love all of the choices you made at the design center and the special requests like the space for the strip lighting in the bedroom! I find I’m liking the Normandy plan more than some of the Versailles plans I’ve seen on YT. Can wait to see the smart home plans put in place….and the media/theater/game room! Love it! 👍🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amen to the mudroom bench!! I added one immediately after we built and moved in. My girls have adapted and will take off their shoes, put them in the cubie or basket and hang their jackets on the hook. It's a total lifesaver!! Beautiful home, can't wait to see you decorate

@@thedavisathome9637 unfortunately no, we didn’t have the time because we were getting our old home ready to put on the market. Wayfair and HomeGoods have been my best friend. Tell your husband he sounds like mine. He goes behind all of us and turns the lights off🤣🤣

Congratulations!! Such a beautiful home and family! Please do a video on the smart home stuff as well as the under cabinet lighting project. On Cara Lanelle channel, her hubby, Rob, will film himself doing projects around the house. My husband actually like watching cuz he learns how to do those projects when we move into our home. I actually love the Normandy and Versailles. You guys are lucky to have Normandy as an option. In my area, Normandy and Versailles aren’t even available. Very nice! Did you find out how long it will take the refrigerator to arrive? I'm hearing that due to Covid and the semiconductor shortage, it's taking forever for folks to get their refrigerator.
Thank you Danny, we received our refrigerator. There is a story to tell with that; hopefully we will share in our next video but you are right there are a lot of shortages on everything

Thank you so much.........Our builder didn't give much options, it was just pre-selected packages, so we decided to just go with the basic package which was included in the base price for flooring and will change out later because none of the other packages really spoke to us. I think the package was called Amherst.
Looking at this floor plan right now! How was the DRB? I've read some bad stuff online about them so we're still researching. The thing is most reviews we see have been negative but it's always like that since those that are happy with it don't post anything lol. Which state do you guys live?
