Hey so the evidence of trimming. That card had a perforation on one side in the life magazine. The issue is, even with doing the perforation only- there is a lot of white left on the top and bottom, hence why someone would trim it. Great reveal, my favorite was the Koufax!

The post mantle was hand cut off boxes, it had a dotted line border. If border was cut off card will grade authentic or trimmed, if border remains it will get a number grade. Being mantle you'll see should still do 150-250 depending on who's looking for it. A 1962 post mantle SGC 3 sold for 180 last week

2 weeks ago I bought 64 maris SGC 8 for 175. SMR says 340. You can't use SMR for non PSA cards. Use the vcp guide

As I watched I chuckled and asked myself “why?” a hundred times. I get it though. Cards you have had forever and want slabbed. It’s just not something I’ll do. I love the ones I got when I was 10, but I won’t pay to have them put in plastic.
I agree with you. I'd keep em in toploaders. Grading fees cost more than some of these cards in higher grades. But it's not my money to tell people what to do with it.

Really cool reveal. My favorites were the T207 Severoid and the 64 Maris. The Maris looks better than a 5.
I just bought 69 Namath sgc 8 for 230, SMR says 525. Use the vcp

62 Eddie Mathews in a 4 you get maybe 30. I could buy it in an 8 for under 200 SGC

With SGC, ita;; depends upon the grader you get. No consistency whatsoever, and no customer service.

You pay to grade 1968 off grade game cards? The only card worth anything is the mantle
1972 icee bear wilt chamberlain sgc 8 sold for 240 last week. SMR says 750. How are you in business. Also unless a 80s baseball card is graded minimum 9 no one will pay for it. Roger Clemens is so dead in card world because of the steroids, he's never going to hall of famr

You have more in grading than what you'll get for 58 skowron and 62 Drysdale and 57 Roberts and 55 Wynn. Don't waste time grading garbage
Try CSG ,they are the best graders for vintage
