    Thank you for posting videos with little to no "fluff"
    It really feels like you are trying to help people rather than "get views"
    I am gonna be starting on my coding journey this weekend and hope to go from a food industry worker of 10 years to a mega developer by June. Going to be difficult and a grind but greatly appreciate your videos mapping out the resources out there to learn a new skill.

    This is gold! Thank you! I'm learning html and css and eventually Javascript as a 42 year old Dad of two in full time employment working on an IT Service Desk. I'm so relieved I found this channel. If I could just overcome the imposter syndrome, then I know I can do this.

    Hey James! so im currently a part time worker while trying to do real estate for about a year / half. I've not had good success and kind of feel lost. I have always been really into computers and tech on a basic level and i just bought your course and I'm planning to start my journey to learn to code and become a software developer. I don't know a lot yet but I'm willing to learn so here we go!

    Hey James, I can tell you put in a lot of effort to edit this video. Your roadmap is very helpful, would you recommend listing JavaScript and/or HTML & CSS as technical skills on my resume while I'm in the process of learning these languages or after I have learned the basics?

    Random feedback here, but from a video optimisation POV you should add cards/clickable links in your video to link out to each of the videos you talk about/mention. Many people like me would likely right click open in new tab and watch that video next. It should also increase your watchtime stats by funneling viewers into your own videos rather than someone elses

    Hey James, I have a question. When doing a project that starts out as a tutorial, should I be placing it inside a public or private Github repo? You wouldn't want a potential employer to see the earliest stages of what will eventually become your amazing project before you've tweaked it, pulled it apart and made it your own. Also, if you have other tutorials with commented notes that you've made, shouldn't at least some of those notes be private? Let me know what you think. 🤔

    • @Smoljames
      @Smoljames  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question - I wouldn't worry about making it private as by the time you're finished, the code will look very customized and personal, and it's highly unlikely that they'll go through you commit logs haha!

    • @Smoljames

    Thanks a lot for your effort to teach us how to land a job! Is Typescript an essential tool for companies or giving applicants an advantage if they have? You didn't mention in the both videos iirc.

    • @Smoljames
      @Smoljames  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct and it's a good question! The main reason I haven't spoken about it is because it really hasn't been a requirement on my path as much as everything else mentioned in the videos has been. I'd categorize it more as a nice-to-have rather than an essential :P But that's just my opinion, and I'm sure others would prioritize it more so and consequently I definitely recommend learning it given the chance.

    I'm a 16 year old from India, well my plan is to master some coding program and do projects and deploy it in my portfolio for the next 2 years. Once I turn 18 can I get accepted by companies? If foreign companies can I work from home as a 18 year or 19 or 20 based on the situation I get but with/without a degree

    • @Smoljames
      @Smoljames  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @Smoljames
      @Smoljames  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Good question! Mainly because I still think it has a long way to go. The main way I would incorporate it into the learning workflow is to help you with idea generation and also with concept explanations when needed :P
